MAC x Ruffian (June 2012) Discussion

Ahh I know. I have an out of control stash and I just added 7 lipsticks this week alone. Eep. The Ruffian Trio, and then Up the Amp, Captive, Hot Tahiti and Pink Nouveau. Plus one BU of Ruffian Gold and 3 BUs of Ruffian Red. All totally justifiable, of course lol.

This is weird. I made a post that included pics of Ruffian Naked swatches on my arm. I got a message saying that I had to wait for the message to be approved by moderators since I'm new here. How long does that take? Should I just try to post the pics again or wait for the moderators?

That's standard for new members. A moderator should post it sometime today, whenever they have time to review it. I would just wait.

Not yet. I'm still debating my BUs of Ruffian Red and Gold.

This is my problem. It seems like my makeup stash grew over night, and there's more I want to get. It's really taking on a life of its own. I'm a late bloomer and just recently got into makeup (in a very roundabout way). I think I'm making up for lost time! I'm still learning my makeup habits and how I use things, but I don't want to regret not getting a BU of something. At the same time, I also think that BU money could go towards new items that I don't have yet. I currently own 3 MAC red lipsticks and the Marilyn Monroe collection is in my sights. I automatically know I'll probably BU a few if not all of those lipsticks. Sigh... it's quite the dilemma. To BU or not to BU, that is the question.

DANGIT! I caved, lol. Got the BUs. Marilyn isn't until October, so that gives me 4 months to play with the reds I have and to justify a BU. It makes sense in my head anyway, but not to my wallet.

If I keep seeing more gorgeous pics of that combo until September, I might lose my mind and buy my first red lipstick ever. But I'm sure I would never wear it, so I have to keep reminding myself of that.

Everybody who posted pics so far is rocking that Ruffian Red, you ladies all look beautiful! That red seems to be very flattering on a variety of skintones.

I'm glad the search is over! Did you get You're Perfect Already? What do you think of it? I think they're a little similar but CC is more pink. That's why I liked it, though, too! It's a great nude without being a lip canceling nude.

Well... the search always continues in the "nudes" department! LOL I always think there may be a better one out there for me...
I really do love CC but didn't like YPA at all. It will take work to make it work on me. CC being slightly darker and pinker on me makes it a better fit for me. That's why I'll always keep looking. Just the slightest variation can make all the difference!

Me too! Plus corals, oranges, and bare lips with gloss on top of it.

Just got my Ruffian Red lippie!

On me, it's not as blue as I thought, but not real warm/tomato either. It leans more blue though than orange on me. I have really pigmented lips. It really makes your teeth look white
