NARS Audacious Lipstick

I've dished out $34 plenty of times for Chanel, so I didn't even notice the price of the Nars lipsticks. Pretty incredible I went from paying $12 for lipstick to damn near $40. It won't stop me, though. I want Kelly which is the Barney's exclusive. Thank goodness it's the only one I want. I guess I can get it online(?). Product photos make me feel like I need almost all of the shades, but I'm waiting for swatches or at least a look at them on Sephora's website to narrow it down to about 5. I want some natural/rose shades, a coral and maybe a plum/purple. Trying to cover all my bases w/o going broke.

I mean, their current formula is $26 so a $6 increase isn't the biggest thing in the world, but I don't envision NARS as being ~that level~, you know?

You know what? It's little bit funny the lipsticks which are exclusive at Barney's are really similar to other 30 shades.
For example, Annabella and Carmen (Carmen is slightly redder and darker), Grace and Kelly (Grace is slightly redder), Claudia and Marisa (Claudia has a hint of purple).
I need Dominique, but I can't find any similar shades from 30 shades!!!

I'm thinking Dominique may be my one from this collection/line if it suits me. I went from ALL OF THE THINGS to 4 tops, and now maybe 1 or 2 lol. I think I'd rather splurge on Givenchy's fall collection for these prices...

Yeah, that is a big jump. I was just saying that for me, if I see the price in the 30's it doesn't ring a bell because that's usually what I pay elsewhere. It wasn't until I went through this thread that I realized the increase. They better live up to that increase.

Hopefully 10 lipsticks will be up at Barney's website. I still want Carmen, Dominique, Marisa, Kelly (And maybe Julie and Vanessa).

As you can see, it looks like some of them have shimmer. Three of four in this pic.
The people who don't like shimmer or glitter in lipsticks (like me) can be happy about it because we can save some money.

I just called Barney's Madison and they said 10 exclusive shades WON'T be available online.

But the NARS Bleecker boutique said they're going to have them too and they also think they'll be online. (but NARS Soho boutique said they had no idea) Hopefully BLKR is right.

Lol yep, I hope at least 40% of them have shimmer. But that's probably not going to happen.
