i think nars is very woc friendly
They sure are! It's just a very pastel/ spring colored collection that won't work on everyone. Every brand throws colors out there like that not necessarily meant to exclude anyone from it. It was just the theme. They're awfully pretty though!

I totally understand that every collection won't work for everybody. Just like when MAC does their pastel collection every Spring; I know it's not for me. It's just that Nars rarely puts out this many new blushes at once, and, now that they have, it looks like I will have to skip them all. I'm still glad that fairer girls will enjoy these, it's just disappointing. Maybe something else good will come out this summer.

Im one or two shades up from ghost white, so these colours would be perfect for me, if only I didn't already own dupes by illamasqua! I like that nars has catered to light skins, as so many nars products are so beautiful but I can't wear a lot of the shades unless I want full on arty club makeup!

I think Final Cut and Love (the middle 2 in the swatches) would look amazing on dark skin! I guess it depends on how you feel about pastel cheeks though. I am very pale, but I feel like a clown with pastels on most of the time. :)

I understand the disappointment for dark-skinned ladies here, but this collection is a good opportunity for very pale women who often lack options (especially with the über-pigmented NARS blushes).
I also feel like almost all the blushes NARS has come up with in their latest collections for the past 2 years were great for darker skins and sometimes very hard to use for very light skins (Seduction, G-Spot, Liberté, Boys Don't Cry, Rotonde, Coeur Battant, etc...).

I was on a blog looking at Laura Mercier swatches and just happened to check the Nars tag. Here's swatches of everything. The source is below:

Also, having seen these swatches, I think Final Cut will actually work for me

I had been comparing swatches of orange blushes and I was thinking about Rotonde, but the price was turning me off. Final Cut looks how I wanted Gina to look, with the price I wanted Rotonde to be lol. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

I have ordered Love blush and Descanso lip pencil today! I may pick up Stourhead lip pencil another day if it is still available after I see some swatches. It's very unusual getting a collection before everywhere else! Usually I have had plenty of time to look at heaps of swatches and reviews before I make my list. I'm normally very impatient waiting for collections to be released, but I think I dislike ordering blind even more!
