The silver nail polish is to die for! It was let loose for Fashions Night Out and I scored it. I'm new to Nars and likely to hurt myself on Holiday!:encore:

i saw the holiday collection last week. i left with joyous red, though it's not so vavavoom...it's very office friendly, sheerer semi matte. i love the color but wished it was a bit more opaque with pigment.

i liked the two e/l a lot too. though i wouldn't get much use out of the colors since i don't go out much. the gold is so beautiful and melts into your skin...which the violet pops and is electric. love them both.

loved the multiple too (though they make me break out in general). it was an awesome plummy color!

the trio was a disapppointment to me. i really wanted to get it! it was just a black flaky mess.....the purple swatched really nicely at first but then just flew away off my hand and was just left with a black mess. :( i was so ready to get this.

the ponderosa and other duo were nice too but just didn't call to me at the time.
Could I prevail on you to swatch it? There's a Guerlain shade in their holiday collection I was thinking of getting, but I suspect it's similar to Joyous Red (which hasn't shown up in stores in Canada yet).

I like the brushes but I would never spend this insane amount just for them...so I guess...it's appealing just not for my pocket.

Hi everyone, been a long time follower but finally joined today! I have some goodness to share. I've got my hands on the hanamichi palette. It's now available on the selfridges website, but I got mine frm HQHair.com. How do I upload photos? The palette itself is so Beautiful to look if I'm a 100% honest with myself, I don't think the colours r terribly unique but do I still love it?...Hell yh!!

Ok so I couldn't upload anything frm my iPhone, but I'll just write what I see : ) The texture is so buttery and soft. The background colour is a sheer shimmery White, I find it very close in colour to the White in the Exotic Dance duo but this White has none of the glitter and is more of a sheen. The gold is also similar to the gold from the Exotic Dance gold but less of a metallic more of a satin finish also has more of an ochre tone compared to ED duo. The black is a nice pigmented matte black. The pink shade is a pigmented pinky/Scarlett shade that's a satiny finish. It's very beautiful. This is all in 'my opinion' but I think that it's a beautiful palette and wld be an excellent gift to anyone(and to ourselves lol) also it is the size of a full size bronzing powder or blush duo in compact size, however it holds 12g as opposed to a bronzing powder holding 10g The brush looks beautiful well constructed, I think it was a little scratchy on the eye but will have to play around with it more to be certain. The pouch is also bloomin adorable too. And because the palette is the same size of bronzing powder, blush duo and eyeshadow palette? You cld definitely interchange palettes into it!

i wonder what is so new about this one. they have a few of them.. or is this a new formulation of something older. do tell!
Not sure. Just looked at the pot and it says it's a 'shine' mixing medium. Reminds me of petroleum jelly (which I can't use b/c I'm allergic to petroleum products) in a pigment jar. The only reason I found it is because I was looking for that mixing medium in a bottle that had dissapeared from the website. Supposedly there is a matte one. Wish I could get my hands on that.

there is MAC Matte. is that what you're looking for? I got that at a store or counter, its been a while, can't remember. The one you have in the jar was the first time I'm seeing that one. I thought their mixing medium was in a bottle as well.

Got to see the collection first hand yesterday. Very classy. Of the items I saw, I thought the pigmentation on the trio was great, although I feel that I have dupes for two of the three shades. Too bad, because the purple, which I can't match, is particularly lovely. The lighter shade of the duo is stunning, really difficult to describe. It's sort of like a dark, dirty cousin of Mac's Tilt. The matte shade is powdery and the colour payoff wasn't great, which is a disappointment. I'm still somewhat tempted, though, since the one shade is so beautiful. Joyous Red is sort of between a brick red and a terracotta. I expected it to be more intense, but it's actually quite restrained. I picked up Guerlain's Gardner, which is close, but a bit deeper and with a glossier finish, so I don't know if I need both.

Miss Liberty is really, really lovely. It's not as glittery as New Order, although there is visible glitter. I'm also happy that this collection called my attention to Sin blush, which I hadn't noticed before. Very pretty.

Those were the only things I really had time to look at. I haven't decided what to pick up yet, but I'm sure that something will follow me home...

Thanks for the review lady :) did you see the collection at the Bay counter? I gotta go check it out!

I shall pass Joyous Red then, I don't like un-bold lipsticks, lol! But New Order is now sounding tempting!

Sin and Deep Throat were my first Nars blushes a few year back and both are still my top two Nars blushes (6 more blushes later...hahah!

It's weird, but the only place that has the collection out in Montreal is Murale- nothing at The Bay, nothing at Holt Renfrew

I should add that Joyous Red is still a "statement" colour, it's just that the Guerlain shade was bolder (and I like to go for maximum impact).

I'm definitely tempted to pick up Sin, not that there's any rush. I have to admit that every time I get annoyed at companies promoting permanent items as part of seasonal collections, I remind myself that there are probably a half dozen items I love that I've noticed just because they were dropped into a displayer.

Edit- Giving a better look at Gardner, I should add that it's quite a bit darker than Joyous Red, so it might depend on the sort of bold look you want to have.

I was thinking about getting the trio and g-spot multiple. But all the pics I have seen of the trio were awful and I just checked T's review and she gave it a B-. Umm really a B- am I wrong for thinking she's crazy with this review?

Ugh I wanted that trio so badly, but all three shades just look black. I love black e/s, but I have so much of it! Sigh. I really wanted to love it, but I think I'm going to pass.

Goodness. How did this end up in my purse?

The swatch photo is kind of crappy, but it gives an idea of the colours. The blue is a bit chalky, but buildable. Depending on the light, it can read more like a cool charcoal than a deep blue. The shimmery shade is divine. I've not seen anything like it. Can't wait to try this out!!
