She should stick to swatching on her hand!

Whenever I look for swatches on her posts I've already closed the page or scrolled back up before I see her eye looks. I hate them they always look ridiculous. I don't pay attention to her ratings either, I just like the swatches.

I just received my china seas last night. I am still on the fence if I should get Kauai. I don't think this shade of gold will work on my skin tone.

no she only gets "attacked" because her looks are crappy
there you go!

main problem is THE RATE at which she blogs. she wants 54545 posts a day. well it's unrealistic. she can hire people to test products

she can not give her opinion on a product that she tried once for several hours. i am sorry but that's not honest writing

how do you call this look?

is this a proper way to wear and test a product? why would i trust your judgment if this is how you wear a product???

I don't read her opinions on products, make up is such a personal thing that if you want something you'll most likely go see it for yourself or ask people you know better or who know you better. I just find her eye looks terrible, like the one Monsy just posted. She can show all the looks she wants and how you can use the products but that doesn't mean you need to do it half-heartedly. There's no doubt she works hard doing her blog day in day out but calling it jealousy when we don't like her eye looks isn't really fair.

I can't believe how judgemental some are being about Temptalia's makeup. It's really unrealistic to expect her to fully, individually test products at the rate at which she blogs (with multiple posts daily). It would take years if she thoroughly tested each product (and even then doesn't mean everything because YMMV), and she needs to blog about LE collections quickly when it's relevant, at the time of release. The colour combinations aren't the work of a makeup artist but clearly the point is to show you the colours, not the best possible look achievable with one or two products. I mean there are other blogs for that.

I'm sounding like her mother, but I think she gets attacked a lot because she's so successful. I don't think you can call her a lazy blogger, you can't get a site like that with laziness. It's not going to be everything to everybody, it's like an encyclopaedia of makeup that most makeup buyers turn to at one point or another.
Isn't that her job as a beauty blogger to test products fully and then write an informed opinion? If she's not doing that, then her reviews lack credibility. I understand that she needs to post about LE collections while they're relevant but she's sacrificing the quality of her blog content just so she can be the first out with a review.

As for her makeup "looks", my frustration with her is that as a professional beauty blogger, she seems oblivious to the changing trends in makeup application. If you look at some of the makeup looks shown for Spring 2014, as an example, you'll be hard pressed to find a look involving 2 eyeliners and 4 different eyeshadows blended into a muddy mess.

I heart Temptalia's blog. She has saved me so much money with her dupes, etc and has also been responsible for some major damage to my bank account (some of the best swatches, IMO). I have to agree that her looks aren't always very inspiring to me so I usually don't even make it down to that section. Anyhow, I'll be picking up Kauai and the annees folles lip gloss. Purple is my favorite color so I just cannot resist. Timanfaya looks tempting but it looks too much like short circuit from the guy bourdin collection which I already have.
