I'm sorry if it has already been asked, but where in L.A. can I buy NYX products? I'm looking for a location that carries a bigger selection than Longs Drugs or regular Drugstores. TIA!

^Do you have an Ulta store nearby? They are the only place I have seen NYX at... But I have heard random beauty supply stores sell it too, so maybe try those.

Today I got the order I made from Cherry Culture when they had their last sale. I haven't had time to play around properly with most of the stuff, but I painted my nails with NYX Margarita polish. It's an absolutely gorgeous pink color.

Here's a picture from a blog I found by googling the polish name.

The two lipglosses I got - Lollipop and Chestnut - are sadly very warm and yellow in tone. I was hoping they'd be good everyday neutrals, but one of them looks completely orange on me. I guess they'd make good neutrals for someone with darker skin.

Z Palette

they're fully magnetized and there is no foam separator so you can put whatever you want in there without having to make it all ghetto looking. plus, the top is clear so its easier and faster to find things.

I was browsing around Camera Ready Cosmetics and found that Yaby also makes a palette without separators. Product Details - Details about Products and tools for the professional makeup artist for print, tv, film, catalogues, bridal and more - with quality products Cinema Secrets, Collyre Bleu, Adesign Brushes, Face Atelier, Graftobian, Illuminare, Japone Look at the bottom of the page.

I might get this. What put me off about the Z palette was that it is made out of paper and the price. This one is plastic, and a little more reasonable .

its a variation of the heat method and i discovered it 100% by accident. so i had my first depotting session today and i got 6 done with very minor problems. the last one was one of the 'new' ones and there is NO WAY i could wedge any kind of blade in between the plastic pieces. just not happening. so i thought i'd heat up the whole container on my flat iron and see if i could poke through the outer plastic part and pop the inner plastic part with the pan out that way. do not try that. it smells SO BAD.

so after like 10 minutes of wrestling with this damn shadow, i decided to wedge my knife between the shadow pan and its plastic nest and the shadow popped right now! i had gotten the glue warm enough from leaving the entire pot on my iron that it loosened and i just slid it out that way

i still have the entire pot intact and the shadow is perfect.

to recap:
- heat your flat iron as hot as you can get it

- put the entire shadow pot on the iron and let it heat up for probably about 45 seconds

- use the very tip of your knife to wedge in a corner of the pan - more surface area and an easier angle to pop the shadow out

- if it pops out, you're good. if not, throw the pan on the flat iron for a little longer and try it again

i think i'm going to start doing all my shadows this way.. so much easier and it hella reduces the risk of cracking shadows and cutting yourself!

hope that helps

LOL, I tried that poke a hole through the very bottom of the shadow too, it was a disaster. I'm totally going to try this method next, thanks for the tips!

some ultas have nyx. find all the ultas near you and go into every one of them to see if they carry nyx!! i finally found one (but it has a limited selection). when i'm looking for a specific item, i go to cherryculture.com or the nyx website. i think you can also get them on the makeup geek website.

I bought 12 NYX Jumbo Pencils from bubbles_n_mocci on eBay and they are already here! She combines shipping and packs them really nicely and ships super fast! All the way from CA to FL in just a couple days! Everything was great with my order and her prices are very reasonable. So for all who were asking about getting NYX internationally, I would def recommend her

Re: Pressing NYX Pearl Mania

I have done it with NYX and I didn't really like it that much. I used the liquid from coastal scents and with NYX I had a lot of fallout on the pressed shadows, which I didn't have that much with other brands.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this - I've been looking for a way to get the jumbo pencils in the UK but had the same issue as everyone else, with the whole site not shipping internationally problem... I'm really excited for them coming, and even factoring in postage to the UK, it still worked out really cheap

^You're welcome hun. Glad I could help out. I really liked her, and it's hard to find good sellers who ship internationally sometimes. I just ended up buying 10 more of these pencils (now I have the whole set except 2 LOL). I've been wearing a different color everyday under my shadow!

Favorite NYX Lippies?

Hi, I'm looking into buying a bunch of NYX lippies. I just wanted to what are some people's favorites so I can investigate them

Looking at these as of now (looking at buying Nudes/Pinky lippies)

Circe (nude with a touch of pink)
Orange Soda (nude with a touch of coral)
Honey (nude with a touch of brown)
Harmonica (lighter nude with a touch of pink)
Summer Love (Light pink shimmer)
Strawberry Milk (Light pink, I heard it's similar to Saint Germain)
Power (Lavender, I heard it's close to Lavender Whip)
Thalia
Fig
Perfect

Anyone have these? Did you like them? I'm eyeing these as of now

Re: Favorite NYX Lippies?

Strawberry Milk is my fave! It is sim. to Saint Germain. Honey is really pretty too. Another fave of mine is Iris, it's a light peachy nude, I love it so much! It's very Jlo. I would def buy a bunch, they are so cheap and compare very well to MAC's lipstick. There actually creamier and more moisturizing IMO.

What kind of pink is Indian Pink? Does it have shimmer?

Also, where can I buy NYX? I think someone said Ulta and Fragrance Outlet, anywhere else?
I really don't want to buy online cause I don't want to put anything on my CC.
