Yes, I think this is very true. I live in a city that is predominantly Chinese. I am the minority.

Sure, but do you think that is measurable to the racism experienced by a marginalized visible minority? No, it is not.

I'm a minority too. I like in Houston, which is a high percentage of hispanics, then asian, then african, and the caucasian's and native americans are very small.

Also wanted to add that one should take into account whether they are a part of the race that has economic, social and political inherited privilege. Believe it or not, but that makes a huge difference. Not meaning that the racism that one of you would feel is not horrible, because it is, it's simply different.

When you rarely see a reflection of yourself in the media that is shown in a positive light, something like this isn't taken that lightly...by some of us.

I'm the tolken white girl on my street lol... Everyone else is Black or Hispanic hehe... My mom was on pins and needles when I moved here cuz she was afraid lol... Since I moved from white suburbia to the black/hispanic ghetto lol...

I dont really mind it though, all my neighbors are really nice.
