Shopping online even though store is close?

I live 3 hours away from any MAC store or counter so I have to buy online. Maybe 2-3 times a year, I go up to Phoenix and shop MAC in person. I *prefer* to do my MAC shopping in person because I like seeing the colors and being able to swatch things I'm unsure of. I like getting recommendations from the MAs. Never once have they sugested a color that I didn't love on me.

But... I'm stuck to ordering online. It gets the job done. But I still would rather going to the store.

I order online all the time because I am over an hour away from a freestanding store or counter.

I wish I had the chance to shop in store more because I would have an easier time deciding what to order. Swatches online can only provide so much. I've never had a problem with any of the MAC MAs, which I consider lucky because I've read so many complaints.

I sometimes order online when I want to limit my spending on a collection. It always seems like when I see stuff in person I wind up with more than I'd planned on buying. BUT ONLY with a free shipping code. The cheapskate in me will not allow me to pay for shipping.

there aren't stores which sell mac in my country but I don't cry for it because I'm sure it would be dead expensive, same price but euros value instead of dollar value in US stores, there is a Sephora which has some other brands I like (Too Faced, Stila) but I didn't think for a moment to buy those products, even some I couldn't find online, I am sure I'll catch those sooner or later and it became really a habit for me to shop online, I can't try the product but mostly I can find a swatch or a review and if I won't be satisfied I'll just resell... I doubt even when I'll live in another country where there will be loads of mac that I'd buy it in store, with specktra and ebay it really doesn't seem worth bothering (except for the benefit of trying it on of course
