Thank you so much!
ok...it sounds long and tedious but here goes...
1. use a base no matter what, if you use a primer that's good (it will help make the shadow last) but use a creamy base to grab the color too (I LOVE painterly--it does both for me)
2. use a transition (a light matte) color in the crease like soft brown, haux, quarry, mink pink etc...even though you can't always see it in the finished result, it will help the other colors blend in flawlessly!
3. Brushes. My life was incomplete without the 217, 224, and 239. I use all 3 every single day without fail. I've used other brushes and for me nothing has even come close to getting these results.
4. Blend after every step. I always do the crease color first. So first I blend the transition color in the crease and on the brow bone (224), then I blend the normal crease color into the transition right under the brow bone and in the actual crease (217and/or lately the 226), next I smoke it out in the outer corner (239 or/226 then 217), then I blend where the colors meet (217), Then I do the lid color--I do this almost last so the color will pop and not be muddy--(239), then I blend where the colors meet only (217 or 224), last I highlight (usually 252), and of course I blend where the highlight and crease color meet (224). Lots and lots and lots of blending lol.
It seems tedious but that's what works for me. I'm so sorry if it made no sense
...sometimes it's harder to spell it out than to just show someone lol. I need a video camera stat!
