if you live by this philosophy, then you might wanna avoid drinking fountains. they actually have more bacteria and microbes on them than a toilet!

Powder products cannot harbor much bacteria, so powder eyeshadows and blushes are fine.
Also, anything that has to be poured out is ok, coz no one is putting their fingers into the bottles.
But when going for makeovers, I would say not to use cream blush, studio tech foundation, studio finish concealer, basically anything that's a cream product in a pan where anyone's fingers could have been.

true, powder products don't harbor bacteria. but, you can't say that all cream products should be avoided. blushcreams, cream colour bases, and studio finish concealer are non-aqueous (or non-water-based), so they don't harbor bacteria either. some lipglosses, lip conditioner, and even liquidlast liners are in this group.

studio tech and some other cream products are aqueous-based, so they can promote microbe growth. you just have to know which products do/don't promote these growths.

oh believe you me, people (customers) put their fingers in the foundations. even the liquid ones. you'd be surprised what they do with testers.

crap, my sister uses aquaphor like it is water, and its two of it's ingredients are known to cause tumors in rats at high doses! she wouldn't give it up anyway, her skin is really dry.

i like reading the cosmetics database because it can have info that is missing on brand websites.

really, you have to take it with a grain of salt. they seem to be against anything even slightly "chemical", immediately citing it as hazardous and upping the toxicity rating.

That is why I have never touched a drinking fountain, ever. Not in my 27 yrs of life. As a kid in grade school, I carried a thermos. lol

O and on a side note, I am that nazi about hygiene and cleanliness. I avoid going to public restrooms unless I really really have to go. And if that happens, I don't sit on the toilet seat. I don't care if there is a toilet seat covering. The thought just makes me tremble. I just squat and do my thing.
