Your general thoughts on the Sundressing Collection

So I guess a lot of you have now had a chance to check out the new collection. What did you think of it?

I have to say, I once again was disappointed. This was the 2nd collection in a row I passed up on - both Sundressing and Sweetie Cake were really average to me.

I didn't like either of the pigments, and none of the other stuff really either. The pink eyeshadow is OK - at best. Oh well, means I can finally invest some money into the brushes I so desparately need!!

I'm just the opposite! I liked the Sundressing collection much more than I thought I would. The pigments are beautiful. I love Pink Cabana & Coppertime l/s (doesn't hurt that I got those through B2M). Glamoursun and Tres Cher lipglasses are hot (I might even get backups). I also love the three e/s I got (Summer Neutral, In Living Pink, and Relaxing). Everything I got is very flattering for my complexion (PPP NW15).

I agree with kitten above, I have really pale skin and I think that the colors work great. But MAC could come out with anything and I think that I would still love it! Even though I like this collection I still prefer ones with brighter and more vivid colors.

i didn't like it, all the e/l looked like something i already had. the beauty powders didn't look like they would show up on me. the lip stuff was just so-so. i wasn't thrilled over the pigments either, gold dust looks ok but i didn't really need it. and i hated the texture of softwash grey- too chunky and glittery for my tastes.

lure looks more exciting to me, the lipglass and cream blushes look promising...

I thought I was going to love this collection, but when I actually saw it, I really didn't like it. I bought only one eye shadow and lipglass. the beauty powders were both nice and sparkly. I loved the liquidlast liners though, all the colors were really pretty. I saw Gold Dusk pigment and personally i didn't like it enough to buy it.. a little too yellow for me.
My counter didn't get in the other pigment yet.

I agree, and I wasn't thrilled by all of it. I did, however, really like a few of the shadows. I picked up Relaxing and wore it today - it was quite nice! The texture isn't half bad for a frost shadow.

I really wanted some nice lipsticks but none of them really did anything for me. Gold Dust was nicer than a lot of the current pigs, imo, because it wasn't super duper shiney. I will admit the glasses were nice but I am not into glasses so much right now.

I probably would have gotten a few more things if I had extra cash to burn, but since I am on a bit of a clothes binge right now, I had to pass up most of the collection. I'm not crying over it!

Plus, I agree with you MissChievous, I am on a brush kick right now and they are so expensive!

I thought the Sundressing Collection was going to be great, seeing as how a lot of the people on here having been raving `bout it. I went to the mall today to see it in person, and i thought it didn't look as vibrant as it did in the pictures&swatches, IMO. All i got was that one eyeshadow called In Living Pink. It's a pretty coral-ish pink.

I actually thought this collection was better than sweetie cake, I loved both pigments....the gold can be used as a sheer all over eye or wet as a bright gold e/s, I love the gray becasue it works great as a backdrop to knight divine for smokey eye and it adds definition for smokey purple e/s as well. I loved relaxing which is like a frosty pale pink and the olive e/s they had which works for me as a great highlighter, I'm asian so a lot of the frosty e/s don't always look great on me but these looked incredible. I love love love this collection.

from what i've seen, i'm gonna love it, most of the lippies (except for tanarama) look like they'd look good on me. i can't wait till this collection hits stores here!

I liked the pigments I've already used gold dusk twice and have not used softwash gray yet but played with it on my hand and to like it alot, its alot like cornflower but lighter so it seems

I liked the lippies and I'm not really one for eyeshadows anymore sometimes one or two will win me over but I was not impressed with the colors in this one at all.

this collection didn't speak to me, it didn't seem like it had real vision ... the only products that stood out were the beauty powders, which are gorgeous, a lot like smashboxes soft lights, wonderfully silky soft!

I thought I'd love bateau but I hated it, I still really liked Summer Neutral & the two pink ones. Tres Cher is mad love, as well as Pink Cabana and Glamour Sun. Still on the fence about the beauty powders, but yea. I like it, but not crazy love like Culturebloom.

U should try Tanarama, the color looks scary but it is so pretty with the c-Thru Lipglass over it.

its funny. i have gone out early in the morning, the first day the collection came out for every collection since who knows when, probably sometime last year. yet i didn't for this one, and i'm not sure why. nothing struck me as being super must-have, plus i saw it at the pro store a couple weeks ago, and, i've really spent far too much on other stuff anyway, considering i'm not working. i'll go get the pigments, i guess, just because i collect pigments, might get the pink beauty powder..other than than, nothing excites me. i guess i just feel like everything has been done before, and i already have 8 15-palettes plus a bunch of holiday palettes, so i feel like getting more shadows is pointless. the summerwear quad is nice, and i may go get that as well still, no huge sense of urgency...
