I agree with what Lou has said - buying few products means you'll end up with the ones you will really like and use. Sometimes I buy a product because of all the raves (e.g. Flurry of Fun l/g, lipliners from the Too Fabulous collection, Style Black MES, Blue India n/l, etc...). Are those products worthy of the raves? Yes, most definitely, I don't deny that they are gorgeous. But I haven't gotten around to using them yet, either because it's a type of product that I hardly use (e.g. l/l, l/g, e/s) or it's a color that I don't typically reach for. So don't feel bad about buying "too little", cutemiauw! Sometimes, less is more.

my vv breakdown...

cruella - 3 (2x innocence, beware! and 1x devilishly stylish)
evil queen - 4 (2x oh so fair, 1x strange potion, 1x bite of an apple)
maleficient - 5 at the moment (3 nps, 1x briar rose, 1x my dark magic) but i'm STILL waiting for my counter to send out the dark deed and second briar rose they put aside for me, so that'll make seven.
dr facilier - 0. this part got no love from me!

tbh at the moment i think i love the evil queen's collection most. i have more from maleficient, but that's because of the nail polishes - i love the evil queen products SO much and they're all really wearable on me. and the packing is my fave (closely followed by maleficient).

My favorite thing from this collection is by far the Cooling Powder. Really love this stuff. I hope MAC comes out with more colors in the future. It's really nice and I love that MAC is giving us new products and not just new colors of things already found in the permanent line.

I'm not into nail stuff - just makeup but those nails posted by traxter are divine!!! Reminds me of candy apples!!!

I think this is the first year I have ever purchased so much from MAC's LE collections. In the past I would pick up items here and there but never this much because I was anti-LE and would only purchase from the permanent collection.

I didn't want to fall in love with something like Rizzo l/s, for instance, and then never be able to get my hands on it again!

Now I'm on a no spend until the late winter and spring collections are released and only if there are new msfs.

I had fun with all of the collections I purchased from but especially VV since I had not planned to purchase anything besides a blush and lippie!

I did the MAC chat last night and asked about ways to wear Strange Potion l/g. The mua suggested Viva Glam V l/s and Mahogany l/p. I'm going to give that a try especially since I love VG V!

For Violetta l/s she suggested currant or vino l/p and Viva Glam VI l/g. I don't like Magenta l/l w/Violetta. They look too much a like - a little redundant to me even though I love!!! wearing Magenta by itself or maybe with a bit of clear gloss on top. That shade is delish!

To me, wearing magenta w/Violetta would be the same as wearing Jazzed l/s w/SP l/g. Samenes - blech!

As for those who haven't purchased tons of stuff from the collections, don't worry about it!

We all know and love our MAC and there will be so much more to come!

I think the most difficult part of owning so much makeup is figuring out what to do with it!

Got my De-Vil today & I really like it on. It is not like the color in the spiced chocolate quad. This color is softer, more of a strong deep peach/slight copper on me. Very pretty over or mixed with browns.

I went to pick up my hold for Toxic Tale and I ended up skipping it. I love satin lip colors but TT just didn't look right on me for some reason.

I did however end up snagging an Oh so fair beauty powder which I love! I think that I am now really done with this collection. LOL!

I know that I am in the minority here but I am finding myself regretting my purchase of the Magic Cooling Powder. I bought Truth and Light (I'm NW20) and the color is great, the powder feels awesome but I find it does nothing for me! I don't really even see it on my skin.

I think I am going to put it in my sales thread.

I think I just saw Violetta on Criminal Minds computer girl. She always has on something outlandish and the makeup is always loud too. I personally love it.

Back to topic: I hunted down BOA and it was worth every penny for the agony and money it caused. She will become a vital supplement in my summer looks next year, of course I rocked her with Stereo Rose since I got it (pure ferociousness)

I bought only one of what I wanted but I see the need to buy what you love. Back-ups are a fundamental makeup right.

Mine was definitely Maleficent. The Dark Deeds lipstick is such an amazing color, and She Who Dares is basically the deep, rich and multifaceted blue I have been waiting for my entire life. I had been debating a couple of different midnite blues but having bought She Who Dares I don't need to. But my favorite is the beauty powder. I am so in love with Briar Rose I may try to track down some more. I live in a big urban sprawl (that most of the time I dislike it but this is one of the benefits) so there are a lot of different sources, I may be able to find some at a department store counter or something. I called around over the weekend and found a Bloomingdales counter 20 minutes away that still had She Who Dares and Resort Life, I was so excited.

I also bought 2 of the Dr. Facilier pigments (melon and brash and bold), the lip gelee and greasepaint but while I really liked those colors and wanted to add them to my stash, I'm not in love with them the way I am with Maleficent's colors. Ok maybe I'm a little in love with Resort Life. I tried to order the Truth and Light powder but apparently it was one of the first things to sell out and my order got cancelled =/ I may still try to get it and the Maleficent nail polishes. I should have just bit the bullet and gone on the release day and bought all this stuff but I convinced myself I would be responsible and only get a few things. Now I'll end up spending more money on ebay getting the stuff I couldn't track down at local stores/counters.

I personally loved the Cruella collection.
