Interesting trends which I have noticed and have been working on --

lips: matte but not dry (I have said this before and have posted some of the brands but if anyone wants the names, let me know).

colours: orange, fuschias, berries, and a lot of BROWN and nudes! these colours will be in everything from ES to lipsticks, glosses, and also blush.

texture: hugely important. Check out NARS Bento box lacquers --- supposedly they have a waiting list for these products, but several companies are already out with similar products in either stick form, or pot forms

-- this goes for blush as well as ls and lg.

texture is so important, MAC is coming out with a ls/lg/stain for summer 2011... it should be exciting to see all these new products.

Think versatility -- ls can be used on cheeks due to the new matte textures, and ES can be used all over the face due to colours and textures also.

dang it.. I need my lil emoticons!!

tbc .... I am jetlagged!

Liba, I thought of you when I have been reviewing some packaging for a powder product which my mother wore in her day.. it is Coty Powder.. however there is a new version which comes in a perfect (to me) little turquoise box deco style -- and it is luminiescent... this powder gives a glow which is other worldy.. like moonshine --no glitter or any other colours for gleam.. just a creamy finish to the skin.

I am in lust with it and have gone out and secured a few boxes.. lol. There is no reason to change the packaging and make it more hip.. it is already perfect imo... and have said as much.

It costs $ 6.50.. or thereabouts:) -- it is mixable with blush or other powders too.

Sounds so exciting! Cannot wait for fuschias, berries, and the new texture.

I'm liking the sound of lots of neutrals. Means I won't be spending too much.

Liba,

Coty is still around! and trying to kick harder (wink) -- try out that powder, it is the Luminous finish in a Turquoise green/deco looking box.. it is inexpensive and just lovely.

as for the upcoming colours, textures etc.. yes, Brown is BACK.. love it! I am enraptured with the new Bronx (which has become part of my stash and as such I will show it off to all of you as soon as I get back into regular time.. lol). ... so many shades of Browns are coming for the fall/summer that it will be crazy wonderful. Oh I did forget to mention that all the metallics will also be in full force ( bronze, blackened gold, coppers, and ambers -- most of the warm metallics as silvers/platinums are not that strong)

HisPugness is well and sends you a paw paw.. he has a marked preference for nudes as his own colours are nudes/tans/browns and black:D

I'll have to keep an eye out for Coty now!

AVP is always a god deal when it's $25 or under! Is there something even more to consider?
