I went to use my MDM mes from this collection today and the plastic part from the lid with Maleficent on it popped out from the compact.

I'm so upset, as I completely love it! Is this a normal occurence with MES? Should I just try to dab a little hot glue on it to get it back in? Or is there some way that it clicks in? I'm just so, so upset

I had that happen once with a regular eyeshadow pot. I was able to just snap it back in place.

This happened to my Bite of an Apple blush. When I first opened it it was like that. I was not thrilled.
I used two tiny drops of super glue to attach it back. (on opposite points of the circle, if that makes any sense). It's as good as new, and you can't tell by looking at it. But it irked me anyway.

You definitely do need a few coats to make it look just right. I ended up using three but in all honesty, I use 2-3 coats with most polishes. But the finish is sooo gorgeous and it's such an amazing and unique color that it's well worth the effort, in my opinion. It dries fairly quickly and I got great wear out of it! I didn't get any chips for quite a while-I think I had some minor touching up to do around day 6 or 7, I can't recall. If you like the formula of Formbidable and the wear....You'd like Bad Fairy's, I think:)
Thank you!

Wow, that's amazing wear, all polishes chip on me on the second day, sometimes even the first day of wearing.

you're welcome!

macy's roosevelt mall. the store was strawbridges and when they went out of business, macy's took over that location. the store was a mess for a while. they just had a grand reopening. featuring new brands and redos of others. their coach section caught my eye too. very nice.

so excited, cause that is the only other macy's in philly. the other one is down town.

yeah this has happened to me a couple of times when using normal shadows. the plastic bit usually pops straight back in but over time they can become slightly loose.

I got my one and only item from this collection the other day - Strange Potion l/g. Toxic Tale is pretty, but a summer color for me and I really don't feel like hoarding makeup for the summer of 2011 at this time

The clear part of the lid of an e/s, blush, etc popping out isn't a big deal, it happens, just pop it back in.

I've had the lid pop back in on an eyeshadow in the past. This time, of course, I had a mutant. And the mutant had to be Bite of an Apple. It wouldn't pop back in, no way. Returning wasn't an option, because there was no stock to replace it.
But all is fine now, because of the super glue.

As everything is mostly sold out, I was surprised to see Strange Potion, Wicked Ways and something else still available at my counter.

They have almost everything except the nail polishes at my counter. I picked up Briar Rose on Friday and looking in the drawer they had a LOT left. Its a new MAC located in the Antelope Valley mall located in our new Macy's in California if anyone wants to try their luck and see if they ship. 661-456-3333

Do you use a base coat and top coat? That tends to help quite a bit for me personally:-
Yes, I always use a base and a top coat. I've tried several different ones, but I see no major differences. Actually, now there has been a new record, there are no chips on my nails and I did them 48 hours ago! Wohoo!

I've decided to backup HOD, DS and I,B!. Still considering splurging on the Bad Fairy.

I use Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat (Some people seem to have problems with this base coat because it's strong-it can damage nails or stain them but 've never had an issue with it and I've been using it for a year now) and I also use Seche Vite Top coat:) I have found the combo to work really really well

I was starting to think about returning My Dark Magic because I have tons of young punk left, but I used MDM today and LOVE the pink side!!!

What is your MAC shade, if you don't mind me asking? I may just have to search for them if we're similar....

Exactly, I tried to pop it back in and then it would just pop out again. I decided not to keep trying to push it in for fear I would crack it, so I guess I'll just go the super glue route. Thanks!

I would like to hear more opinions about Bad Fairy. I read some really bad reviews on MUA it being very sheer (multiple coats needed to get the colour solid and opaque) and the formula being bad. Now, I have Formidable! and it was fine, I only needed two coats for it being fully opaque. I have to say it didn't look as duochromey as it did on some pictures online, but nevertheless it very beautiful - I love those dark colours in fall and winter. Is BF performing worse? It keeps coming to my mind, but now I have only the choice to pay about 30 bucks for it, so I could use some more opinions about how good it is before I decide whether to get it or not. Thanks!

With Bad Fairy, you'll need 3-4 coats for it to be completely opaque. Since 2 coats is the norm for me, I would say it requires more work. But the color is so worth it!
