Did a great look last night:

The Family Crest applied wet and blended with Notoriety, over Blackline p/g, with Hold My Gaze as highlight.

Pet Me, Please + Liquid Lurex + Jealous on lips

Truth & Light powder all over the face

I felt very stylish!

I have one friend who always takes a good picture of me - next time we get together, I'll try and rope him into it.

I did originally think TFC could be sparkly when applied dry, but nope - you really need to wet it to get serious sparkle. Dry it looks pretty matte, with just a hint of glitter here and there. Dry or wet, it's very opaque, though.

I still say if you could only get one pigment from this entire fall/holiday, Bloodline would be the way to go, since you can get many different effects from it, dry, wet, sheer and opaque, casual or dramatic. TFC is strictly dramatic nighttime glamour!

I think I like all three lipglass sets again and the smokey pigment set.

I think the lipglass sets are good purchases for me because I am a lipstick addict, but have like no lipglass to pair it with or if I just want a lighter lip... Last time I counted, I had about seven or eight to my twenty five lipsticks- no joke. And since I don't use them that much, these should last me a long time! I'm just gonna get all three I think.
lol.gif
I'm with you on this! The only difference is that of all of the makeup items I own, I probably own the most lipglosses (MAC or otherwise)! At my last count, I was at over 40... :S and I still want the neutral set! (I have no excuse for the pink or coral sets lol) The only problem is storing them all in a small 1 br apt and still leaving room for my bf and his stuff!

For the pigments, I'm still torn between the Warm and Smokey sets... I really like all of the warm colours, but they seem so similar, with the exception of that gorgeous green... and in the smokey set, I LOVE blue brown, but it's perm! Gah, so torn!!

got to see the sets and stuff.. as everyone has already mentioned, nothing stodd out tooo much (then again the colour collection hasnt released as yet, and all the products I really wanted are from that one). The purple palette surprised me. All the colours swatched pretty well, none too sheer/chalky, on my NC 44-45 skin. The reelers and rockers palette was good too (VP's- hello!), but the colours bored me (except for tht weird gold colour).I loved the greena nd dirty gold from twists of tartn but not the rest... the neutral palette- skip for me, just bought the naked palette..
The two lip sets were a pass for me... I MAY get a brush set, the bags are cute and brushes are pretty good...

now am looking forward to see TFC, MN and later pigments, the smokey pigment set (hello hotness!), the neutral lipgloss set (Erine's swatches are amazing!) a backup of Undercurrent and all the raves on Black swan have gotten me thinking about it.

I was kinda surprised with Karen's swatches too.. I mean There is no way that Mauvement looks so sheer.. I have dark eyelids and mauvement shows up SO well.. it looks like she has applied a super sheer wash of colour, doesnt really serve the point, cos we dont get to know what the colours look like! I do love her reviews usually tho!

Really? I hardly ever use mauvement b/c it always seems so sheer on me! Must just be the difference in our coloring. I'm NW20.

uhm wait a minute…are the items in the lip bags full size? because the pencils look so short in the promotional pics (and I can't find any "real" pics)

I feel the same about the warm set- it's absolutely gorgeous, but all of the shades look the same.

Plus, the warm set would look awful on me- I know it. Blue Brown is an awesome pigment! I have a sample of it (I used to- it jumped into my mom's purse one day
lol.gif
) and I'm so glad I'll be getting a vial with this set. Next step, full jar!
cutey.gif
Like you said, it is perm, so if you're really in love with the warm set, go for that one. All of the pigments in the smokey set except for the new one are perm, I believe.

the pencil is a mini-sized I believe, I saw it on a yt video. I don't really use pencils so I guess I can deal with it.

The lip pencils are short (almost 2/3), but the lipsticks and dazzleglasses are full-sized. Here's a comparison pic just for size, between my Plum Lip Pencil and my In Synch Lip Pencil:

Yeah, 3 of the warm pigments look so similar, and the only pigment I currently own is Melon, which is again very close! Maybe I'll stick with the Smokey set, because I like the LE shade and I don't own any of the perms, but probably wouldn't need a full-sized version...just yet, anyways!

But that tin will be mine, either way!

thanks ^_^
I'm not so sure about the lip bag anymore…I wanted it 'cause they're all colors I consider "staple" in my stash. Light sheer pinks look pretty "neutral" on me*, and I don't own any of these.
But I suddenly got turned off about it, don't know why…(uhm…maybe the price? 40€ is A LOT).

Any advice?
wondering.gif

Jenns your nails are lovely!

*when I see the "neutral" shadows/lipglasses etc I go like…uh? they're all very warm to my eye
shrugs.gif
but ok I'm a pale girl and I hate browns so maybe that's it..

I paid about $43 Canadian for my lip bag, which translates to about half that price!!!
oh.gif
Maybe if you're still interested, you can find something online for cheaper! I really love mine, but I was hesitant to pay that much in Canadian, so I can understand not wanting to spend that many euros!!
ssad.gif

Thanks for the nails!
smiles.gif
I decided to play around last night - they glow in the dark :p

I had to warm up to browns and "neutrals" as well, but I love them now, especially for fall! I would swatch everything if you can before committing if you're see-sawing, and if you're not sold, save the cash for the next collection that you fall in love with!

Yeah, I know I really should swatch first, I'm afraid it could all be sold out before even hitting the shelves like the VV.
I'm in a compulsive shopping period, I tend to buy an awful lot of staff, spend all I've earned (or saved) and then buy nothing for a loooong time as a penitence
blush-anim-cl.gif

I'm so in love with the packaging of this collection…sob! Somebody stop me, I've lost control!
thdrama.gif

Oh btw I'm a nail polish fanatic too, I just avoid nailart most of the time because I lack the skill :p

I have Melon, too, and it's enough for me.

And yeah- the tins are what I'm most excited about.

i just hate lip products in palettes. the quality isn't any different than regular lipsticks/glosses, just the form they come in.

Thanks erine for responding to my post about the lip palette!
smiles.gif
I may still get a lip palette to have something with the plaid print on the outside! LOL...

I think I will get the pink lip palette (Happily Ever After)...I know I will use the pinks more than the Fabulous Fantasy palette...Hmm...

erine, do you think To Joy ls in the pink palette is close to Bombshell ls (perm)?

On a side note I went to a CCO today! They had last year's MAC holiday collec...I actually like last year's lip palettes a little better (!)...but the outside case was just blah compared to the plaid print of this year's! They also had the eye palettes...that Scorceress eye palette is pretty!...Ooo...they also had MAC's slimshines too...my sis picked up one in Scant for me for Christmas
smiles.gif
It's a pretty color...kinda purple-y I think

I only have budget for 2 sets here. Not too sure whether the Neutral set will look good on a NC20.

Erin, some help? Pretty please?
