Thanks for sharing the Fotd, Mrslid. Very beautiful! The colours are gorgeous on you. I love Magnolia on you, I wonder if it will look like this on me.

Teenagemuse, that's a very pretty halloween look!

I'm happy to know that the items this holiday collection are turning out to be star items. I haven't seen this collection IRL yet, and have been going back and forth with my wishlist. I may pass all the glosses, and get the quad, tweed blush and Magnolia. Patchouli, Pleasing and Pink Pulsion are on my maybe list. I wish there is a highlighter though, a holiday collection without any highlighter feels incomplete to me.
I agree! A highlighter would've been great!

I have Magnolia on hold, it'll be the last item I'll be getting from this collection. I need to thank Elegant, Winthrop and Mrslid!

ITA about the missing highlighter. I would have LOVED one with this collection!

I'm in love with Pleasing glossimer!

It totally shocked me when I saw it in person (such pretty sparklies) and I had to have it. Now I've worn it almost every day since being home and I'm considering a back-up. It's amazingly gorgeous with the more Fall-ish looks I've been wearing lately...totally eye catching. I'm pretty sure I'll be grabbing the quad soon and I think the combo of the new quad + one of my all-time favorite MAC blushes Prim & Proper + Pleasing will be awesome.

I need to grab the quad soon also (before it sells out). I have loved this holiday collection -- I'm still trying to decide if I need to get the Charming glossimer . . .

Hi Elegant!

Yep, this collection was nicer than I anticipated!

I have to be sooo good for a while though! But I'm happy, I'll be getting a small cabinet to put in our closet to finally organize all my make-up in one place, then maybe, just maybe, having everything together and easy to see, I can actually use what I have for a while and actually mix it up. Till now, I generally have only a few items in a drawer to access during the work week, and that usually includes my latest purchases. Then, when the drawer gets too packed, the older stuff gets put away, and if I don't see it, I don't use it!

I tried Magnolia RC this morning and adore this lipstick! It provides colour without being full coverage and will likely be my go to lipstick since I was able to apply without liner or the need for gloss on top. The colour is also the perfect depth, not too pale but still light pink (wouldn't consider it a mid-tone pink on my skintone). It seems to have a touch of blue in it, but it seems to appear as a true clean pink colour. I could see this shade working well with a wide range of skintones.

So true. Yes! It may be one of my fave Chanel ls yet. It does seem to be the perfect pink.

Hi Elegant!

The kids are enjoying the house, lots of room to run around!

Not sure if you caught my post yesterday, but I wanted to wish you a happy birthday!

This collection was at the counter when I was there today!

I didn't believe it would be launched so soon! I stick to my list and bought the quad, tweed fuchsia, Magnolia and the brush set.

I have forgotten about the brush set which I wanted to buy all along so I bought it immediately. The stocks are very limited and each counter only receives about 5 sets. The brushes are made in China but they feel soft. The handle is different from last year's, this time, the part holding the brushes (the name escapes me) is black plastic as compared to metal last year. Overall, the black plastic handle seems to be of poorer quality than last year's. The handles this year look like those from MAC's SE brush sets. I hope the brushes don't shed!

Magnolia is so beautiful, although it feels quite slippery when I swatched it, like you ladies said. I passed the glossimers for the time being and shall wait and see if I really need them!

Oh - I got Splash (liquid waterproof) eyeshadow today - it is so beautiful on! You can layer shadows over it & it looks so intensely beautiful how it makes the shadow you put over it pop!

It this really really pretty deep pewter taupe grey color.

At my counter, the displayer had only one nail polish, Pulsion and three glossimiers (no Mica Rose). We also have Delicat-Taupe instead of Misty-Soft. I noticed the manufactured dates on the boxes of my quad and tweed fuchsia are both June 2009 and I can't help wondering if they were supposed to be in an earlier collection, say spring 2010? Usually the seasonal collection products are not manufactured more than a year ago, unless they are repromotes.

I purchased a few items from this collection and all of them were manufactured in May 2010 (2901). One of the items was Tweed Fuchsia. You can always go back to where you purchased them and exchange it for a newer box if they have a good return policy. That's kind of strange though...

I have Splash arriving tomorrow. I can't wait!
It's very pigmented. And, you have to work with it fairly quickly because it sets so fast - & then it does NOT budge. I am thinking about getting Sand or Source. My Chanel counter recommended Source as an eyeshadow base for almost any shadow color. I guess I should have swatched more colors than just Splash.

^^ I have Source, Atoll and a white silvery shade (Cascade if I'm not wrong). Source is too pink to be my base for any eyeshadows, while Atoll is a better match for me. Cascade is very shimmery and silvery and great for special occasions!

Thanks for the info, I though all were manufactured in June 2009. But I think my items look fine, so I'll stick with them. Yes, it's strange - imagine the launch of the quad and the blush was postponed.
