She wears a lot of these pale nude shades, sometimes they're really too pale (like she's wearing foundation on her lips) and I don't like it. This picture though is veeery close to what TFG looks like on me in daylight (maybe a little bit more pink but I have very pinky lips), and it's quite nice I think. Not if you're in a bad day, you're not wearing any blush, you have visible dark circles etc. I think a shade like this requires a good base and at least a bold mascara, but if you do all this, it's really flattering

Plus I find it more resistant on the lips than the other neutral/nude mac lipsticks I own (way to love and patisserie, and something else I can't recall).

fyi don't know if anyone mentioned this yet but the mineralize gift sets were available at mac freestanding stores in Toronto region (Canada) so hopes this helps someone...i didn't see the mini lipgloss and what-not sets though

I must admit I never really followed MAC collections until a few months ago. I just used to go to the counter when I needed something and get what was there. This might be why I'm so enthusiastic about this collection. This and the scottish theme

btw:

- I used the pearlglides on my waterline. I know you're not supposed to. I have sensitive, watery eyes and I got no strange reactions.
- I'm still trying to figure out my foundation shade, can you believe it? Ok I never used classic foundation, only minerals, but I wanted to know my MAC shade for reference

so I asked the MA and she told me NC15 and swatched it on my hand. When I came back to get a sample I found another MA who gave me NW20. Looked fine in the store, I even bought the prolongwear concealer (not the foundation), at home, in daylight, it sucked. Too pink and dark. So I asked for NC15 today. I swatched it on my hand in daylight and it looks fine, just a bit dark maybe. I have to try on my face. I also got a sample of NC20 concealer. I normally use NC30 becauseI have very dark/brownish circles around my eyes

NC30 is quite fine but I can only use it on darker areas, anywhere else it's just dark and way too yellow. I hate my dark circles

they make me feel like uncle fester

I got my box on Friday - all the pearlglides except Lord it Up. Love. Them. All. Undercurrent is my new drug.

I immediately went to my counter and bought a back up. I tried on Lord it Up but it wasn't really exciting on my chocolate skin so I left it there.

I'm done with this collection though. Bring on Peacocky!

Off topic - I don't know how to use the smiley codes. I went to the link and did a copy/paste but I just get the words. Do I need to type something else so the smiley shows up? I'm slow.

Did any of you ladies' swatch of Black Swan turn blue on you? I was really looking forward to a black with silver glitter liner but then the black turned blue. Swatched it on my hand and poof, twenty minutes later it's a dark navy blue with silver glitter. Did this happen to anyone besides myself?

i dont think it's that important to have the pot unless you are travelling with the blush. if it's in your vanity area it will be safe
