Hi everyone,

I have Fashion Mews lipstick and was wondering how Courting Lilac compares to it when on the lips. I read somewhere they are similar when on the lips..but from the swatches I have seen they dont look a like at all. also does anyone know if there is a free shipping code for orders in Canada? thanks in advance:)

Fashion mews is a frosty light glowing lilac with pink tones. courting lilac is very dirty, dusty darker pastel-ly purple. it was so yucky when i swatched it, but totally different

so i tried to use Moonlight night today as an outer-crease color, and it sheered down sooooo fast...i had to go back over it with carbon. it would have been wonderful for an all-around smokey eye...i don't think it was meant to be used as an outer crease color maybe?

come to think of it, i have never tried to use a pigment as an outer crease color before...the darkest shade of pigment i have tried is chocolate brown, which is beautiful as an wash on the outer half of the eye...pigments just don't get dark enough....
did ya try it wet? it looks amazing in the outer third and crease with a grey like glamora castle on the lid...

Ok let's talk combos here: what looks good with what?
I mean products within this collection that work well together.

Some combos I've seen (or heard of) around:

Gone romancin' & courting lilac. I didn't like it a lot. Actually I didn't like gone romancin' itself…looked just like a basic pearly pink on me.

Full fuchsia & radiant jewels. Gonna try it.

A wish come true & glamora castle. I read on a blog a MA used this on a girl…I tried on myself and didn't like it.

Enviably fun & undercurrent. Seen somewhere…looked good on the girl but she had dark skin and colors looked a bit different on her.

Glamora castle & petrol blue. Do you think this would work?

The faerie glen & baby sparks. I tried this yesterday and it looks lovely, but I think TFG would look lovely under any lip gloss :p

Glamora castle & baby sparks (maybe with in sync?). I really like soft gray eye makeup with pale pink lips.

Undercurrent & moonlight night as shown by Jenns.

What do you think? Suggestions?

I'd love to see this. I think it could work quite well, because the liner would pull the blue tones in the eye shadow. Strangely, I haven't yet worn GC. I just haven't thought of the perfect combination to use with it yet.

OK, so I need an opinion (or two)...

Do you think that for someone with some pinky-purply tones under the eyes should skip semi-precious eyeshadow? I have some pinky-purple-y coloration, Im not saying they are dark circles or anything...it's not that bad. Anyway...I've been thinking the color of semi-precious, though pretty, might just be that color of purple(?) that would compliment with the tones under my eyes (and I don't mean in a good way). I do wear purple eyeshadow, and I don't have a problem with the particular shade I own (not MAC)...or the pink shadows I own. It's just this shade though...now has be thinking...again. I did swatch semi-precious on my hand in the store and it was pretty...now there's the "I want it" with the added "but" at the end of that.

Where's that smiley who's hitting his head against a brick wall? LOL

Help, anyone? Thoughts?

I guess Im trying to talk some sense into myself and asking "do I really need this?"

I tried it all over my lid yesterday instead of using it as a liner…it's so sparkly and soft it makes any eyeshadow blush with shame

Hi Dear!!!
I agree - HBC is so beautiful on! I used the 187 makes it buildable. It has almost a soft diffused kind of texture.application to it I thought.
Hello Sweetie

Can't wait to see HBC in person, i'm worried it'll be too bright on me.

Yesterday i went to the pro store in Amsterdam and i got some goodies!
I'm not impressed with this collection with the exception of TFC pigment and Undercurrent Pearlglideliner.
I bought those two and of course Sir Teddy! Maybe i'm going back for PIC palette.
I did like the texture of the tartan shadows, but i didn't get any because the colours are sheer.
The rest of the stuff wasn't very unique so that's why i skip almost all of it.

First time wearing TFC today and I'm a little disappointed. I applied it wet, but blended it a little to make it less jarring against the other colours. Unfortunately, blending it removed all the shimmer. So now I have a nice smoky black, but something that really isn't too original. Guess I'll either have to go super-intense with this one from now on, or be extremely delicate when blending.

I got:

pink lassies
cool piggies

I wasn't sure about the cool piggies but desperately wanted the tin. How lame is that?

I wore it today! I was worried too because I'm fair (NW15), but applied with a duo fiber brush (I use a similar to MAC's 131) you will not have problems. It's sooooo pretty, I'm happy I got it

No, Fashion Mews and Courting Lilac are not similar. Fashion Mews is more or a "milky" purplish while CL is a frostier shade... they are very different. Personally, I wasn't interested in CL at all until I swatched it and WOW! I haven't worn it yet, but it's gorgeous on my hand LOL.
