I called my Macys counter and the ma told me they never received any PP either. She took down my name & number and told me she would call me when they got them in. I had planned on going to go check it out today but our roads are icy and yucky. I'll probably bug the hell out of them because I figure either she'll forget or whatever she wrote it on will get lost/thrown away. I really didn't think I wanted it but you guys are loving it so I did want to see it in person.So I called my Nordies counter today to check on my pre-order for Pink Power MSF and Mighty Aphrodite blush, and they never received any of either of them!!! Ugh. So disappointing. I really wanted to at least get MA since it has worked for so many ladies here. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with my AP blush, which I love.... so maybe it will be enough.
Anyone else run into this problem at a counter today??
I ordered Amazon Princess, Mighty Aphrodite, Heroine and Marquise 'D at 5:15 this morning before work. I got my confirmation email, and what do I see? Two Amazon Princess' no Mighty Aphrodite. Never mind that MA was the first item in my cart. Ofcourse the customer service lines don't open until 9 and after over an hour after placing it, it was impossible for me to change the order so I just had to order Mighty Aphrodite over the phone, no shipping thankfully. I'll have to take back the other AP when I get it (which I hate b/c I believe they have to throw those away). So hopefully that will be all of the Wonder Woman adventure I have until my packages arrive on Monday. I'm really excited though, it'll be like an extra Valentine's Day gift.
dxgirly - I don't do pre-order w/Nordies.
I go to the MAC store and tell them what I want and they put aside.
I've read about so many people having trouble w/nordies its just not funny!
What a headache.
If I were u I would call the counter back and complain and insist on talking to the counter manager and then the beauty area manager - yes they have one and then the store manager and up and up until someone gets you your goodies.Nordstroms is about happy ccustomers - they want you to keep coming back.
PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN! Shoddy service is a no-no!
But don't forget that unless you pay for it ahead of time there is no guarantee you are going to get the product. The store may only get so many items and those at the top of the list will receive them first.
Even if you give them your credit card # there is still no guarantee.
oohhh cheesecake factory is soooo good! it sucks that you may not get what you want thoughI wish I could just go to a MAC store instead, but the closest one is in the city in Boston and that's very far away from me. I can only go in on very special occassions. So I have to go to counters instead. Even those are still 45 minutes away from me!
Thanks for the advice though. I've called them like 5 times total and gave them my credit info and everything. They wouldn't sell it to me though because weren't sure if they were ever going to get any in. So sad.
We're going up to that mall to go celebrate Valentine's early on Saturday at the Cheesecake Factory, so maybe I'll just stop into there and Macy's while we're waiting for the buzzer to go off to be seated, and see if I can get lucky. Hey maybe I'll even convince my boy to buy me something (even though he already has something else big planned. ehehe) So we'll see. If I get, I get it. If I don't, I don't. Neither of them were MUST-HAVES for me from the outset.... so I shouldn't be too disappointed.

So sorry you have to deal with all this, dear! And sorry to everyone else to who's having trouble getting a hold of the things they've ordered! This is just ridiculous... Hope you all get everything very soon!UPS sucks. More than they ever have. I won't even get into the ugly, nastiness on their part. Being told by someone in Central America that my weather isn't driveable right now and UPS isn't shipping in my zip code. omg. u kidding me?? (this morning just took the cake. 63 minutes on the phone... it got a bit ugly. I HATE when people refuse to listen to simple logic, and HATE confrontation like this). Beyond reading from the tracking site, and then being told by the investigation department that I would have to wait until Monday for them to do anything about a package with no activity for 8 days? Poor, poor customer service. and I've been nothing but understanding with them. until today.
Anyway. 3 packages (2 from MAC) are lost (but UPS won't say they are lost, and refuse to open an investigation, again, are you kidding me?) MAC is resending the 2 that UPS "didn't lose".
And overnight (!!!), and there is going to be a Mighty Aphrodite. So the MAC lady says. I told her I loved her, btw.
I kind of will believe it when I see MA. But I've also accepted that if it doesn't ever get here, or gets here broken, I'm not chasing after it. I've done that too many times to go nutty and spend this much anxiety.
Anyway, I had to vent, and share my good news (I hope it's good). I just didn't know whether or not to go to Nordstroms today (and probably buy 4 times as much as my plan), or try to get this shipping resolved.

I'm guess you didn't order from MAC and from another site? If it was a MAC they always say just keep it and they'll send whatever got left out. If it was another place since it wasn't your fault they should send you a prepaid label so you don't have to make a trip to a countet to take it back.
This is interesting because I'm NW43 and NARS blush in Torrid looks horrible on me (I have to use Luster or Cactus Flower). MA gives me a very nice glow. The darker side deepens it but the lighter side still makes me look good. I honestly think it has to do with the undertones of your skin. It's the same reason why I know I can't use Golden Lariat MSF because anything pulling seriously orange makes me look like a hot mess.MA is a good blush, but I don't like how it goes on. I moisturize enough I think, but it goes on ashy...probably ashy is the wrong word to use, but I don't know what to call it. It goes on like Stereo Rose to me, but not as pigmented and I'm not about to put MA over another blush like how I do for Stereo Rose. I'm taking MA back unfortunately. I really wanted to keep it, but NARS Torrid is a great shimmery coral for me and it's my fave for everyday so I don't need MA as I have evaluated this for days.
