HG - thanks for the whitening info. Those acids, will they hurt on our skin? I heard that AHA or something gives a tingly feeling and after we put it on, we can't be in the sun for some time (forgot how long). I have more than 4 spots! But then I only started wearing sunblock a few years ago, which is too late. But new spots are still forming though I wear sunblock religiously now! I need to stop buying makeup to fund the whitening products! Thanks, then I shall not try Shiseido's. Dior is launching the whitening stuff here in March. Should I try Dior, Chanel or Lancome?

katred - I heard that vit C helps too. which brand/product has vit C in it?

but those shines are fantastic!

msqqq.. yes, the acids, any one of them will give you a tingly sensation and do make your skin ultra sun sensitive so sunblock with a high spf is a must.
Also.. the Shiseido was ok, but not great for the money. Dior's should be good imo.. or Chanels. I have used and do use the Lancome whitening products and do find them a bit more effective.. Btw, my recent sun spots are from the beach while wearing sunblock and a hat.. lol. I always use some kind of whitening product to combat spots, freckles (I just about bleached the ones on my nose).. but also give skin a refreshing.. I rotate product so that my skin is always getting a booster of some sort.. hydration, whitening, exfoliation.

I don't think anyone should be in the sun for any long period of time.. especially if they have sensitive skin or want to avoid wrinkles, lines or spots (sun spots can also be white too). I wear the Shiseido spf 55 for face sunblock all the time -- even when I am just working in office or at home.. I wear Shiseido spf 50 on the body .. but on vacation I wore Neutrogena spf 90 for face ON Top of my normal one, and I still got spots.. ugh.

C... seriously. There are so many Chanel threads, and other HE products which we could all be interested in and post, and many times I miss them because I just wont go around scouting out the 999 pages and the 999 threads.

All little off topic (or back on topic as the case may be!!) but I have to share:

Spring collection only came out on Sunday here. Payday was today, so down to the Chanel counter I went, wondering if they'd even let me buy it wearing a polo shirt (haha!). I always feel really intimidated by sales assistants, but I'd decided that if I could put the quint on layby, I would get it. If I couldn't, then I'd only buy Flamoyante.

Well. I can most definitely put the quint on layby. Now I just have to go through the pain of paying it off!

I paid for Flamboyante outright today though. I love it!! It's definitely the shy girls way to wear red. Totally suitable for pale girls too. Little disappointed it doesn't have that smell I love like the Rouge Coco's, but I can definitely see it being my new go to lip colour. Then the sales assistant, who was lovely, told me the Coco Shines will be available as soon as the testers arrive...this layby business is definitely going to become a problem for me!

Btw, is there anything better than being the first person to use a tester? Flamoyante wouldn't even scan because I was the first person to test or buy it!

^^ Congratulations on your new Flamboyante Kanne!! You're right, there is nothing more satisfying than being the first to use the tester!!! I agree with you 100% on the color - I put off buying it until a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm glad I got it!

The RC Shines are going to be the devil on our wallets, that's for sure! I can't wait to see them!

On a different note, I recently received a couple of new items:

1. NARS Bankok matte lipstick (thanks for the rec, HG) - it's much smaller than I expected, but the color is pretty and the tube is very lightweight, so it doesn't weigh down my bag.
2. Sephora Professional airbrush set - this is a set of 6 (I think, I don't have it with me) brushes - good quality, and I like the density of the bristles, as well as the sort of domed shape. I haven't yet tried them (just got them last night) but am anxious to see how they do!
3. I also received (but haven't yet opened) the La Mer translucent powder (based on Mrslid's rave) - the jar is enormous! I'm a big fan of the BE Feather Light Mineral Veil, and am hoping that this is similar but better! At least I feel like I got my money's worth in terms of quantity - I don't think I'll ever run out......

Off to California - quick trip this time but will be out for the next 3 days - I'll catch up with you ladies this weekend......enjoy the rest of your week!! Hugs!!

Awesome! I love Flamboyante its so beautiful on! Like I posted earlier, it was a Red Carpet pick (not that I really care about that)

I just received my BB Guava & Bikini Pink ls. They are both so Beautiful! I love how the color covers my pigmented lips & the true color shows. The consistency is wonderful.
BP - is a lovely lovely nude pink with a very slight rosy peach undertone. LOVE it on
Guava - imo - is the perfect Coral. It has slight red/pink undertones. I did just the light appl. on the bottom lip & smoosh & its fab.

I will go compare it to FP - if I can find it as I'm not sure that I have that one. Guava is like the perfect coral & its different enough from my other corals. These feel divine on the lips too. I'll go look.

well, I cannot find it but was sure that I have it.

Its probably going to be more coral than Fusion Pink. Its along the coral color as Mac's Cyndi lipgloss in color but waaay sheerer lighter in color depth. Its really a perfect Coral.

I'm sure nobody will mind, cos its one of the most interesting Specktra threads, and it's definitely one of the most active threads in my list. I have a feeling that as soon as an attempt will be made to move the chat to another thread, it may make it hard to pick up the speed again

I forgot to go look at part 2 - thanks for reminding me! I think the BB are a real hit. Guava is gorgeous on! Some corals are just too orange but this one is just right.

ON THE 28th of THIS MONTH - really! Monday!??? oh my. I hope they are at the Saks that I will be at. We are an interesting bunch for sure. we'll remain chatting here...
