That just made me laugh. A long time ago, an artist in MAC put the lipstick way outside of my natural lip line and I looked like a crazy lady -- not cute!

Cheryl -- I am the same way about MUA. I am sad that my favorite girl just quit. Now I have to start all over again!

MissQQ -- sounds like I need to check out Shiseido's lipsticks. I need to see if the Sephora carries them. For some reason, the store by me doesn't carry everything that Sephora online carries -- but I'm a girl who likes to swatch!!

Cafe Makeup today has a post about the Chanel Fall collection. A whole new line of lipsticks called the Rouge Allure Velvet line -- holy smokes! Looks like the Velvet l/s will be more matte -- not as glossy as the regular RA formula. Maybe after a summer full of all of the luscious glossy lipsticks, I'll be ready for the fall lippies!!

I actually thought of you about this last night! I agree, Taffetas Rose looks much closer to that pic. I didn't think Catharina was that color - a much brighter fuchsia. Maybe something else was used along with it or its just how the color came out in the pic.

MissQQ I do have the Shiseido l/s - I will do some swatches for you tomorrow - I have 4 of them - a couple of 'reds' (RD), one pink (PK) and one rose (RS). I really like them on - but haven't worn one for a couple of weeks, so I'll test them out and let you know!

Dear Chanel Ratonas, as HG would say!
RC Shines have already been released here (earlier than expected, thus), and I got to play with them today. They are VERY pretty! Subtle, shiny and light-wearing (for as much as I could feel it on my hand). I didn't get to try all the colours, because some of them have already sold out. As far as I can remember, the "region specific" colours weren't there either, but there was space for 25 lipsticks in total, so they are definitely coming! The sweet girl who was helping me even looked for me if she could find some testers from those, but there were nowwhere to be found, really strange! I so wanted to see "Flying Cloud", cos it looked the prettiest in those swatches from the French blog!

From the colours I could test, I really liked Aventure, Elise and Bonheur. There were some similar looking colours, but still they all were slightly different tints.
I've decided not to get anything, until I've seen all the shades, because I want to get 1-2 of them I like the most.

I did get a little tester card with 4 different colours to try out: Boy, Liberte, Monte Carlo and Aventure I went to a counter in another city, since me and my sis were shopping there, and was really impressed with the service I got. First they left me alone long enough to play with all the colours of Coco Shines, as much as I wanted, without jumping onto me straight away (then I usually get really shy, and don't swatch anything anymore), and then they asked me if I needed any help picking the products. I asked them to help me to pick the right shade of the new Vitalumiere aqua foundation, since some of you have been quite positive about it, and I don't dare to buy stuff like foundations online, until I know what the right shade is for me. This girl really took time with me! Not only did she help me pick the colour, but she did the whole application thing, cream, foundation, powder, blush :O explained everything step by step, why she picked a certain product or a certain colour, and then she also gave me and my sis loads of freebees in the end.

Needless to say, I was really impressed, since normally I get blanked at counters like Chanel here, let alone get freebees.

Today was really a C day for me! I've got some stuff I bought from a Specktrette in the mail and bought Vitalumiere and Fauve es with that 15% discount they were offering.

No, I don't think they are drying. They have beautiful color, coverage & feel fantastic on - & reasonably priced. They're really pretty colors.

I love Steve Madden shoes -- and score for you that you got yours on sale!! I love that so many of them have high heels and wedges (a must for a short gal like me). I have been obsessing over the Steve Madden Haylow heels in the blush color. They seem to be sold out in my size . . . must persist!!

I like It Pink too - Amy at Cafe Makeup reviewed it as well - I believe Winthrop posted a link to it somewhere previously, or maybe on the Chanel Spring thread. It really is beautiful. No micro-shimmers, just a gloss-like sheen. And these don't smell like most Dior lipsticks do, which is a plus for me. I normally cannot stand it. These colors are some of the Sephora exclusives, so they're available now. I'm going to consider a couple more since I don't like Tokyo (it's too yellow for me - it's a yellow-toned brown color).

As HG said, this is the trend - everybody's on the bandwagon! And I'm lovin' it!

And yes, where IS Miss Meggy? I wonder what sort of adventure she's having now?

Yes, It Pink is a Sephora Exclusive shade. But the line has a TON of shades, 56 to be exact. So your Dior counter will get most of them and you'll probably be able to find a color that's close to It Pink!
