The new foundation held up beautifully.. thru the morning when applied, a dog walk, drinks by the beach, lunch (we skipped brunch cause it was too late..lol) and more walking -- even a brief visit to Neimans.

Mamma Mia!!!! :)

I'm going to my local Chanel counter this Thursday to pick up Fauve with 15% off they'll be offering on all Chanel make up the coming 2 weeks, and hopefully they'll have some samples of the new foundation too! I have mid-coverage foundation I've been using for ages, and something lighter for the summer sounds good.

I'll have to wait for another week to play with Coco Shines. I have a feeling it's going to be tough to pick out just 1 or 2 colours :/

I've never worried about alcohol in terms of my skin... wait... you mean alcohol in skin treatments, don't you?... My mistake...

For rosacea, your best bet is to stick with products that are free of known allergens and stick to physical, as opposed to chemical sunscreens wherever possible. There are actually a lot of products that won't case a rosacea inflammation.

Oh I definitely adore alcohol... works as a preservative...

Seriously, I think my skin is relatively normal, just because I seem to have reactions whether I go in either direction- treatments for skin that's oily or treatments for skin that's dry.

Yep, the ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate in Vita Aqua will most likely be a problem for me as well, although I can get away with it for occasional use with certain formulations like MAC's Studio Moisture Tint. I've been dealing with rosacea for almost 30 years now and triggers are really very YMMV....there are certain topical ingredients like chemical sunscreens, alcohol, peppermint, witch hazel, menthol that a good percentage of us react to, but after that all bets are off and it's alot of careful trial and error. The list of ingredients *I* need to avoid is longer than both of my arms put together so unfortunately there are precious few products I can use without developing immediate or cumulative irritation. The good news is as long as I avoid my topical (and environmental and food!) triggers no one even believes I have rosacea.

We got a brand new computer for me (sent my 1 year old comp to my sister in law, who was in desperate need after hers crashed a week or so ago) and it just doesn't like Specktra...at all! I can't ever seem to log-in on a regular basis, it looks all wonky when I go to my subscribed threads, but the worst part is it crashes/freezes often when visiting this site! My hubby can't figure it out, and other sites work just fine for me, even other forum sites...I don't understand the problems?!? I will be on here much less, if at all, unless we can fix these issues.

I hope you're all doing well, and I hope I get all of this figured out ...I miss my Chanel friends!

Oh, Meggy, how awful!!! I sometimes have problems with the site acting up too - which usually means I have to get behind my company's VPN - I wish I knew what might help you! We miss you!!

The site is NOT working hardly at all - terrible lately! I have complained - but whatever. So its not just you. I have NO issues on any other site either,

Miss You SOOOOO much! But, we have still been chatting it up regardless. I just noticed that I now have gabbed on here over 10,000 times

Well I haven't been able to post for the last few hours. Grrr I just updated my Adobe Flash Player and that seems to have helped. Have you tried that Meg? Be sure you have the exact right version for the browser you're using. I also know I have freezing problems when certain ads are trying to download on here - then I just go away for a couple of hours until new ads cycle onto the site.
