I know fauve was 17,55 pounds in UK duty free, and Coco Shines didn't have price next to them, but I'm expecting them to be between 18 and 19 pounds.
I don't remember Amsterdam prices. They were around the same as UK ones converted to euros. I think Fauve was 19,50. They didnt have Coco Shines, last time I looked, while our regular shops already have had them for a couple of weeks.
In USD it wll be: Fauve - $28
Coco Shine: around $31.
I can post from the UK at $3.25, which is not too bad.
Definitely DF has the best prices. I've checked the beauty stores with insuperable prices in here and Chanel single e/s are 22 € and the RC Shine are 22.5 € (that's between 31 and 32 $). Also, the post is a bit more expensive here than in the UK it seems. The last package I sent to the US cost around 4 €, although I set insurance + tracking cause it was an expensive parcel, but it would be cheaper if conjugating more than one order (so maybe when it arrives there you can distribute them by post).

So I agree that Elena's is the best option right now, but still, I am available for the CP if the DF doesn't work out eventually =)

Aww, thank you for the lovely wishes, everyone. It is both and his first time in Barcelona, so the vacation is going to be very touristy.
I really hope that the weather will stay good and sunny, cos I wanna take a swim in their outdoor pool on the top floor. The hotel is going to be right next to the beach as well, so the views should be amazing. And otherwise we'll take over of one of their hot tubs :D

Enjoy your weekend break in Prague, cute. I want to visit this city in future as well, as they've got some marvellous architecture there.

The postage i quoted was an option without the tracking, but it's insured.

Almus, wow, those shops do have nice prices! The shadows are like 26 euro here in regular stores and lipsticks are 28,50 I think. Which shops (beauty/clothes related) would you recommend for me to visit, while im in Barcelona? There is a massive shopping centre not so far from our hotel :)

I agree with Almus, the shipping price from the UK is probably the cheapest. Elena, Astrid, enjoy your vacations. I live vicariously through you :) And thanks a lot for the swatches Astrid, Sari D'Eeau look very nice.

Well, those are local line of beauty stores (they are only in Málaga) and they compete with the bigger malls so they always offer great discounts in HE brands (perfumes tend to get up to 50% discount sometimes). Chanel and Dior usually have between 20-25%, so it is a bit more expensive than the usual price in the US, but way cheaper than usual European prices. And that's actually great, cause some brands like NARS, MAC or BB are only available in those big malls and we pay crazy quantities (for example, BB l/s are 22$ if I am not wrong in the US, here I bought mine for 24 €).

I've been only once in Barcelona but I'll write you a pm and tell you where you can go for a nice shopping =)

Hey, ladies. It's been a long time since I made a Chanel haul, but last night I took care of that by ordering Coquette and Flamboyante Rouge Allure lipsticks from Bloomingdales. I had my eye on them for awhile, but finally decided to buy. I am so excited to get them!

Thank you Elena!! Those prices sound just fine - is anyone in the US with me on a Fauve purchase? HG, should we also have Elena get the RCS, or have Katred do that for us from Canada? This is exciting!

Elena, Astrid, enjoy your vacations! I would love to travel in Europe one of these days.....

I hope you have shopping success and have a wonderful time!!

HG, I'm so glad your sister is improving - and I think it's wonderful that you have little lipstick 'pew' mementos of Jeff's talent and love for you and your obsession!!!

Shontay, congrats on your new purchases! They're definitely favorites here!!

C! I think it will be easier on all concerned if you handled payment and purchases from one person -- The actual prices are adjusted per country/exchange rates etc... but they will essentially come down to the same +/- a few cents or dollars.. but in this case, the least trouble we create due to our addiction on our Euro/Canadian friends, the better ! I just wrote you == I am in on Antigone and Fauve.. just let me know. In fact, I might ask you to send it to me in South America where I will be next month !! .. Central America beginning of month, SA end of month.. and on and on.

The market flew off the handle today

and I actually did well .. YAY!

but this ain't over yet.. lots of fallout from the Japan crisis and Libya (where is Ronald Reagan when we need him?) ha.

thank you C!.. yes, she is improving -- I just pray she continues the upward spiral that's all.

it hurts too much to see loved ones suffer.

Elena, enjoy Barcelona -- it is a wonderful town as a tourist or as a resident... I lived there for 6 months doing some research with the Catalan govt.. it was fun and especially since I did not speak Catalan.. but I learned and numbers can be translated easily! Have fun! Walk along the Ramblas and don't get a nosebleed from the prices.. it is an awesome place to roam.. lol.

cutie.. thanks so much for the swatches.. I think I like Bonheur and Monte Carlo more than Antigone.. oh man, decisions decisions.. lol.
thank you also for your well wishes for my sister.. she is in God's hands, and will be fine there!

HG, Almus, thanks for the tips!

We are definitely going to hit the Ramblas (I've heard we will have to watch our pockets), since that's where the party's at, hehe, but we also plan to go to quieter places just to enjoy each other's company in the very laidback atmosphere...

I also agree, that in the end the total prices will end up being pretty much the same, and I will let you guys decide what will the best option for you.
I can send all orders to one person or I can also send everyone's orders separately, since the shipping outside Europe will cost me the same for any country.

I've told Cheryl as well that I would prefer to get the money after I get the actual items, because this way we can avoid the hassle with sending money back and forth, in case something won't be in stock, and I will also be able to quote the exact amounts I've spent.

It's not a hassle for me in any way, because the post office is 5 min walking distance from my bf's place, and I'll have to keep myself occupied, while he's going to be at work. I've already warned him that we'll need to come to the airport early, cos I'll be spending some time at duty free, lol. He didn't seem to mind.

Shontay, congrats on your new Chanel purchases!

Elena dear you will love Barcelona.. it is a magnificent city in all respects.. but yes, like all large cities watch for the petty thieves and the little rats.. lol.

Almus, I am using my Eco tools blush brush to apply my foundation (as well as fingers) but when I use this it gives me a really flawless finish -- and it is cheap enough to have about 3 for rotation.. lol (my germophobia). The head is small enough like a MAC 129 to allow you to move it along the face and yet not as puny as a MAC 190 or 189. I have all of the ones I mention and I reach for my Eco brushes more and more each day.

oh C! -- another foundation for us oldsters is the Laura Mercier Creme smooth foundation.. it is PERFECT! I think I like it more than the Chanel because the colour is just right for me.. I don't have to mix anything. I got the warm ivory and it is just right for my blotchy skin (yes improved but still blotchy). AND you can use it under the EYES!! YES.. I read it twice !!!
Also.. I need to see LM's gel ls.. they look amazing!

Yes, very much so those 2 are beautiful. Monte Carlo more of a very pretty strawberry color than in the pic. I really like Bonheur too

OK girls I NEED to know is Chanel Coco Pink is still for sale?(or will come back soon?)
I know that shade is impossible to find and $$$ on evilbay, but I just saw an UK magazine cover with Lady Gaga and it says she is wearing it. Kind of weird to make her wear a color that i snot sold (i.e. advertising something for nothing is not like Chanel! ;))

i love how everyone is so helpful here on this forum. its a really wonderful atmosphere!

anyways, i got to swatch some coco shines when i was at australia. they did not really have a great selection though. i didnt get it there cos its actually more expensive than singapore (which i didnt think was possible). i think in singapore it costs about US$30 plus.. ive not seen it around here yet so i dont know hw different the price is from the other lipstick ranges.

i did get myself a rouge allure lipstick in romantic from the singapore airport duty free. i knw its an old shade bt i just discovered it so im really loving it.its a deep red/plum which is different from the other pink lippies i got from the new dior addict line. i got myself 3 dior lippies (it pink, dior kiss and missdior) all at the airport too.. hehe. my sister was asking me why i was shopping even before the trip had started as this was before we boarded the plane. hehe i didnt bring any pretty lipstick shades for the australian beaches thats why!

im lemming to try the new bb lippies. i got lilac which i loved (it was the shade i wore to the airport). bt the airport did not have a bb counter so i couldnt get mine. shall see if i have time to check it out this weekend. hehe.

Your hotel sounds awesome, Elena!! I was there in April last time, would like to visit again when it's warmer so I could get to the beach :)
Thanks, I'm so looking forward to visiting Prague :):) (getting all excited)

Shontay, enjoy your new hauls!

Hmmm. Well that was a Hydrabase and they are discontinued. I would keep my eye on the Deja Vu section of the Chanel web site to see if it appears there at some point (it's not there now). Maybe they're planning on bringing the shade back in a different formula? Did they mention the formula in the breakdown of what Gaga was wearing? Also, in reviews on MUA Yves Saint Laurent #49 Tropical Pink is mentioned as a similar but brighter shade.

BeckyBenett -- enjoy your new lipstick shades! I only have one of the new Dior addict l/s, but I'm really liking it. Can't wait for the release of all of the Coco Shines where I am!

Astrid -- Thanks for the lovely swatches and happy travels to you!!

Thanks Astrid for the swatches. I don't know how I missed swatching Sari d'Eau, but I think I'm definitely going to have to get that one... And Monte Carlo... I found out today that one of the Chanel counters I frequent still has Flamboyante, which I'm trying to resist. I keep telling myself that I already have a few reds in that same family- Mac's Cockney, Guerlain's Rouge Sensuel, heck, even from Chanel I have Cambon... But Flamboyante is still really difficult for me to resist. I also found Guerlain's Fuchsia Delice from the Spring Collection at one counter today... It seems to be sold out everywhere... Amazing how tempting these things get when you know you have only a tiny window of time to grab them...

As promised, I come with swatches! My injured head has let me go out to visit the nurse to check if the healing process is ok, so on my way back home I stopped on the store and get RC Shine in Evasion (I'll swatch it if required) and Fauve. Here I come with some new and old swatches. This is Bobbi Brown's Plum Rose.

From left to right: NARS Ondine, Chanel Fauve and MAC Shale. The two lipsticks swatches in the pic are (behind) Evasion and (front) Antigone. Anyway, don't trust this one of the l/s, cause Antigone is more "raspberry" at natural, in the pic seems too orangy, don't know why.

Ondine is way more brown than Shale and Fauve. This last one is more lilac and shiny than shale (although the shimmer is sutile when not in the direct sunlight). Fauve is gorgeus!!! On more, top to bottom, Shale, Fauve and Ondine; and the eyeshadows in their pans.

At last, Evasion (top) and Antigone (bottom). The photograph could win the prize for the "worst picture of a l/s swatch ever", but if you forget about Evasion, Antigone colour resembles quite good reality in this one.

I hope you have enjoyed them!
