My Pink Peony is like that too. What's up with that?

Whew... I thought it was just me & my wand or I was losing it

And, it seems as though no matter how many times I stick it into the tube it does the same thing. Maybe the hole isn't big enough or something. But my other ones aren't like this.

I didn't tell you guys that when I went to the Chanel counter the other night and passed on the quad, regrettfully, I went looking for a rouge coco lipstick called Teheran. The MUA who is very good didn't know what I was talking about. I even showed her the pic on Temptalia and she kept trying to show me Talisman. I was too through. I will have to order it. I didn't get around to getting near a mall today, so I still don't have that quad in my hands. I have to wait until Monday(argh!). I am tempted to order it along with Teheran, I'm confused. If I order it and end up at the mall, I'll be mad because I could have bought it there and had it instantly and if I don't order it, there's a chance I won't get to the mall and...:getyou:. I think I will just take my chances and make time to get to a mall on Monday. I'm telling you, with this long wait I need to wear this quad every day of my life, in my sleep and in the shower too because this is torture. Now I have the money and I still can't get to it!

Shontay, they really should just give you the quad for all the people you have convinced to purchase it:)

You have this power of making me buy things. I will say that I do love the MUFE brow corrector. I already use TFSI but haven't tried MUFE F&B.

I'm hoping for a new foundation this fall. When I used to use Chanel foundation I loved it, nothing came close to it. But now that my skin has changed (aged) it is harder to find my hg foundation. At the moment I'm mixing the two lightest shades of MUFE matt velvet which I have to buff like crazy beacuse it can get a bit powdery. There has to be a great foundation out there for very pale oily skin that doesn't look all powdery, cakey or flat, but doesn't look all greasy either. I suppose I am asking for too much.
I really wish someone would give me the quad. I would owe them big time. I'm glad you like the TFSI and the brow corrector. I seriously couldn't live without that brow corrector. It's just the best thing. If you're oily, I don't think you should use F&B. I'm dry, but I've read reviews from oily people saying it wasn't the best for them. It wouldn't hurt to try, though, I guess. At this point a Chanel foundation is the only thing I'm willing to try. Mufe has spoiled me as far as foundations go. HD and F&B are amazing and don't break me out at all unlike Mac, Stila and a few others. I just really want to see a Chanel foundation sitting in my stash. I'm a make up snob and I can't help it. ETA: Perhaps F&B could work for you if you use it with the HD powder. That stuff is really good at keeping away shine. Like I said before, I am dry, but sometimes my forehead can get shiny after some time and the HD powder kept it from ever doing that. I only stopped using it because I got lazy and wanted to just throw a powder on my skin w/o worries. For my complexion, the HD powder needs to be buffed in and used sparingly so that flash photography won't bring it out.

LADIES!!! Finally got my hands on the summer collection! I went yesterday, the Bay was having a "Gala", which I had bought a ticket for. So I saved $10 on my purchase plus had $90 gift card after redeeming my points. Good thing, because hubby happened to see how many items were in my bag when I got home and commented!

Sooo... in the end, it was a rather nice haul...

Rose Platine e/l
Rose Bronzer
Pink Peony and Aurore glossimer
Mimosa and Morning Rose n/p
Lillium Quad

And I also purchased the MJ Daisy Eau So Fresh gift said!

I picked everything up yesterday, opened up each item and admired them, but everything looks so pretty I didn't want to use any of it yet! Weird, right?!

Janice, the messed up gloss sucks. Part of the whole experience of buying high end cosmetics is the classy packaging and the service. Things like that just shouldn't happen, it completely takes away from the whole experience and the feeling of treating yourself.

I guess I'll have to report back if my Pink Peony is also the same with the wand, how strange!

Ladies, hope you all had a great weekend. I hope to come on here a bit more this week, life's been way too hectic lately.

Yay Nora -- so glad you finally got your hands on the summer collection! I know what you mean -- when I first got Bronze Rose I almost didn't want to use it because it is so gorgeous. But then I proceeded to use it almost daily! You will love it.
My Pink Peony is the same way -- it doesn't get a ton of gloss on the wand. I wondered if it is because it is a different formula or something?? Who knows?! Enjoy your pretties!
:bouquet: I am sooo excited for you! I love the MJ Daisy too. I can't wait to hear all about what you think of the colors. Funny about the hubs :) hey, it is really weird about the gloss wand, so i'm very curious if you notice the same thing. And - you got Mimosa!!!! Really!, I was surprised about that. I can't wait to try it but probably won't until next month. Awesome haul! I need to pm you too - I ordered blinds :)

Excellent haul! Awesome new goodies, enjoy. Aurore does the same thing you all are talking about, having very little product on the wand. I thought that was just how Chanel glosses were? These are actually my first from the brand. Interesting!

Nora, great haul! Sometimes the makeup look so pretty untouched that I can't bare to start using too! Once you start using it you'll enjoy it! Look forward to hearing your reviews and I hope you get to slow down and rest a little. :)

& as soon as you think you've figured it out, it may change again. Have you tried the new Chanel VA foundation - if not, at least get a sample. Its really nice on. It feels like second skin.

Thanks Elegant, I haven't tried that one. I will check it out. Menopause is not kind to the skin (oh hell, for any part of the body), face is oily, arms and legs dry and so on.

I think these glossimers are also somewhat thinner in consistency than most, I think maybe because they're meant as lipstick toppers more than to be worn alone, but I guess it remains to be seen if the forumula was changed in general.

Winthrop, I sure hope the formula doesn't change! Looking at Pink Peony in the tube, it looks a little more "jelly" like if that makes any sense.

At any rate, I'm sure I'll be trying out everything this week. Today was a cold crappy rainy day, not a nice day for summer make-up! I ended up throwing on a couple shades from the Enigma quad and Espiegle blush for a nice light look. I need a nice bright sunny day!

Elegant, I was back on forth with Mimosa, but ultimately decided to get it as yellow is now my daughter's favourite colour (pink is out!). And when I brought it home, it appeared a bit lighter so maybe the lighting in the store wasn't the greatest. I held it up to my hand and liked how it looked with my skintone, but it'll definitely be a pedi colour!

^^ Your daughter is very trendy! Mimosa is on my maybe list but I'm sure it will sell out fast so if the collection launches, I have to decide quickly if I want it. It has been raining here the past few days too and I broke out Enigma too on friday, with pink explosion and magnolia. I didn't realise they're all from last fall.

Aww, I will think of that when I use Mimosa - so adorable. Will she get to have her nails done in it? I agree, its lighter than what it looks in all the pics & in the store lighting. Its a happy color. I hope you love it on as a pedi

Great haul Nora! It's practically identical to mine LOL! I love Daisy Eau So Fresh too!! I almost asked hubby for it for Mother's Day but asked for a Guerlain scent instead because it was cheaper. Enjoy!

Oh ya...I'm wearing Morning Rose and I LOVE it!!! There is something about the slight jelly finish of it and how shiny it is that just makes it so PRETTY! Love it. Makes me realize how much I really, really want Miami Peach because I think it has a similar finish. I'll have to see if sis can go shopping and pick it up for me if it's at Canadian counters.
