Okay ladies. I am starting to get REALLY irritated with my local Chanel counter. Today I had to go in to pick up a Dior fragrance pre-sale I had arranged earier in the week. Since there was that little mixup with Aurore I went ahead and decided to give Pensee another chance at coming home with me. I talked to the SA a bit about the new Coco Shines and since they had gotten great endorsement from you all here I picked up Liberte to go with Pensee. Sounds exciting right!? Well I noticed that the Pensee box was open when I opened my bag to put another purchase in. I didn't think too much about it (just assumed the SA after hearing my previous mix-up story double checked it to make sure I got Pensee) and finished my shopping. I get home and bust everything out to take pictures for the thread and lo-and-behold I open Pensee and it's a gooky globbery MESS. It's totally obvious it had been opened, there was gloss all over the top of the wand and along the inner packaging. I called the counter totally upset and ranted to some poor SA for like 5 minutes. I hate being unpleasant, but seriously, a used gloss?! Gross! It's Chanel, I really expected better than this. I might just stick with ordering online, even though I am terrified of things melting in the summer heat.

Oh Janice - eeewwww! I would make them send a new one to me! Seems like we've all had a bit of these terrible experiences. Great combo though with Liberte & Pensee.
I must say that when I went through my ordeal, Nordies really stepped up to the plate & said they needed to know what was wrong so they could fix it. I hope you love the shine ls.

Janice, I'm sitting here with my mouth open after reading your post. Why would anyone ever sell a lipgloss in that condition ... let alone Chanel?!?! That's just gross. I hope they fix things fast for you!

Eeeek -- a used gloss? I would think they would send you a new one ASAP. Like Elegant said -- they were great with fixing her mix up. I have ordered glosses online in the summer time with no problem. Not sure about lippies, though -- they might "sweat" (eew).

oh my goodness! yeah i would have been mega pissed too! that is so freaking gross! somebody made a big mistake putting that back in the sale drawer! but on the plus side the lippie you bought looks lovely!
Janice, I'm so sorry you had that experience! What a disaster, especially after you had to make the trip back in to correct the first mistake. I'm sure they'll bend over backwards to make it right - and I agree with the others that they should send you a new one.
BTW, which Dior lippie did you get? I went nuts with them when they first came out, and I LOVE them!

What an awful experience with the used gloss Janice. That's really inexcusable. Hope they do something extra to make it up to you, especially given the long drive (which I can relate to). Liberte looks gorgeous on you! Wish it looked like that on me, but I guess my pigmented lips blank out alot of the color.

I'm a newbie here, though I've been lurking for a while. I'm pretty new to Chanel (only own 2 glossimers, which I received this past Christmas). I liked a lot of the summer collection, and reading all your posts convinced me to get quite a bit of it! Part 1 of my order just arrived yesterday and I'm in love! This order had Morning Rose (beautiful, beautiful--pulls slightly coral on me), Rose Platine (gorgeous!), Aurore and Pink Peony. I have the rose bronzer coming in another order and can hardly wait! I also just ordered Gardenia. I had held off on this because Temptalia's swatches looked a bit frosty, but I ended up going for it after seeing other swatches.
I also ordered 2 of the RC Shines. I received Monte Carlo in my order (waiting on Bonheur to arrive) and I have to say...I'm not sold on them. However, my lips are really messed up at the moment, so I'll try again after they've healed a bit. Thanks for all lemmings lol!

Congrats on your haul - I know you will love everything! Monte Carlo and Bonheur are 2 of my faves in the RCS line (among a few others hahahaha) and the Summer collection has been a huge hit for many of us.
