mrslid I have to tell you one more time that you look gorgeous in that FOTD! And I agree with Miss QQ. Aurora fits you very well. a bit peachy, but equally fantastic.
I am also waiting impatiently for the summer collection to arrive here cause well, we already have sun and hot. I just need my makeup and short skirt!!!

I wore my shadow duo this morning and I am speechless! Seriously, it's amazing. It makes me want more Chanel shadows. It's so buttery smooth and pigmented. I could just swipe my brush across the shadows and that's all I need. I'm used to being heavy handed and digging into shadows, but I can't do that with these babies. I am seriously impressed. The colors are really elegant together, too and of course that packaging. Guys, I think I might have to go get that quad. This is dangerous. I hope all of their shadows are this good.
All of Chanel's shadows are great, and this summer quad is fantastic. Chanel shadows and blushes last forever b/c the color payoff is so great with use of a small amount of produt. This is how I justify the high $$ to myself. I can use these shadows for a long time.

Almus - hope you get the collection soon! The sun is up here too and I'm starting to get a bit too sweaty and sticky for my liking.
On the other hand, I don't have to wait anymore, I'm so surprised to see the collection at my counter today! A very friendly and cheerful young MA served me and I had a great experience. I came back with:
Mimosa - you ladies are right, it isn't so bright like what we see in the pics! The MA had it on, and it was so beautiful on her! I have to buy it and hope it looks that good on me.
MR - gorgeous pink. For some reason I keep thinking it is called Morning Glory!
Lilium - beautiful, I love the taupe shade. The MA was wearing the two greens and it was slightly shimmery (we have the baked version) but looked very sophisticated.
Aurore - the gold/peach shimmer is very unique and I have nothing like this in my collection.
Bronze Rose - tried it on and loved it. Works beautifully as a blush!
Rose Platine -
Swatched it and fell in love. Haven't tried it on my eyes and if it shows up and I like it, I'm thinking of getting a backup!
I didn't buy Bronze Corail yet but it looks beautiful when I swatched it. I think it will look stunning when I'm tanner, maybe NC25/30. The texture and pigmentation of the duo is amazing!
The MA told me that it will replace Khaki-Clair and is perm, so I pass for the time being, but I'm definitely picking up this beauty. I'm not surprised that we didn't get the two RC in the displayer, because they are already in our perm line when the RC was launched.
The biggest surprise was that we have an Aqualumiere gloss, Lotus Rose! It's a sheer bright pink and I love it. It reminds me of Joyeuse! I did tell the MA that I wanted it, but because I was buying so many items, she forgot which and turned back to me to ask if I only wanted 1 gloss. I thought she was refering to the glossimers and I absent-mindedly said yes. So it wasn't in my bag when I got home. I really want to buy it, but this being a Aqualumiere gloss, which only lasts 1/2hr on me, makes me reconsider. But it is the brightest shade of the line so is there a chance it will last longer?
And we have brochures of the collection, which listed what makeup the model is wearing. Another surprise lol. The list is: Bronze Corail, Lilium, Rose Platine, Pensee, hands - MR, feet - mimosa. Pensee on her lips? If they said it is Lotus Rose I would believe it more.
Sorry for the long post! I'm so pleased with the collection and being caught offguard heighten the excitement. I told the MA I'm no longer receiving mailers to inform me of new collections and she is puzzled. Said if I don't receive the next collection again, I can go to her for help. She also gave me a sample of the new mascara, Inimitable Extreme, which is not available for sale yet.
Ladies in other parts of the world, does your counter have the new mascara?
I must add that our makeup have increased in price again!
The nail polishes, quads are hit with a price hike. Not sure if the lipsticks are too, I'm hoping they're not!

^^ I suspect it is. I thought I had it in my bag and wanted to share the pic here. Hopefully next week I can go to the counter again. I googled and found it on ebay, but the bid has ended. It is brighter IRL. And thanks, everything is very pretty!

Michelle - I will report back when I tried the mascara. But I must say I don't like Inimitable, it does nothing to my straight and sparse lashes. However I like Exceptionnel and Sublime. Hopefully this Extreme is indeed the extreme version of Inimitable.

Top to bottom: 89 Rose Sand, 144 Rose Dilemma, 107 Colibri (Auqualumiere), 85 Muscat, 257 Bikini Peach, 267 Pink Peony, 287 Aurore, 119 Wild Rose, 112 Waterlilly, 138 Courtisane, 131 Mica,83 Magnifique.
Lighting is not the best -- especially for Muscat (one of my all time fave nudes) which is LE, unfortunately.
The swatches are so horrible online -- so hopefully this gives a better glimpse of what they look like in real person!

I went to a Chanel Mother's day event, which we got to do a floral arrangement. I'll post pics in the ratonas thread. I wore Lilium, Rose Platine, Bronze Rose and Aurore, and love all of them! They are colours I can wear all year round, even Bronze Rose, which is beautiful! It isn't shimmery but soft and glowy, and pigmented. I think I will cave for Bronze Corail soon. I getting a backup of Rose Platine! Wore it over black eyeliner on my top lashline and by itself on my lower lashline. Love it, especially for my lower lashline! Thanks for the rave, ladies, otherwise I might have passed it.
I dropped by the counter to swatch Lotus Rose. I didn't buy it because I want to do so at my usual counter. I'm using iPhone, so the pics aren't very good and pics of the displayer are difficult to take because of the store lighting. Hope they give you a better idea.
It looks more accurate here.
Both are Lotus Rose. Top is a sheer application while bottom is heavier. Quite true to colour.
You can see the micro gold shimmers.
