Welcome to the foray hyzenthlay20! That's a rockin' haul you have there! I giggled when I read that you passed on Lilium the first time, then got it the second......this collection is excellent - everything is a winner!

The Blanc base is fabulous - I am about due for a refill - I hate that the bottle is so small! And yeah, trading 'up' from the ExfoliKate is a good deal....

Glad you like your goodies!
Thanks Shypo :) I think I passed on Lilium the first time because I thought "hey, it's greens . . ." - but when I saw the video on the Chanel site, and I realized I have somewhat similar coloring to the gorgeous model, I figured I should give it another chance. Have you used other bases before Le Blanc? Why do you prefer it over others?

I like the texture, and the way it makes my skin feel before I put foundation on....plus, my skin seems to like it. I find others that use silicones to just be too......I dunno.........slick - and they ball up sometimes. I also love the Base Lumiere - maybe even more than the Blanc......FWIW, I also use Mally's primer and like it too, but I prefer Chanel's.
Miss QQ, you definitely should! I think I have similar coloring to yours, NC15/20, dark brown hair, brown eyes. The greens in Lilium can really be gorgeous :) I used them the other day with the new MUFE green AquaLiner and it really popped!
Shypo, I have noticed that I sometimes have problems with some of the silicon-based primers "balling up" on me, but I haven't been able to recreate it with enough consistency to figure out the cause! It drives me nuts . . . I am a scientist and good at separating and minimizing variables, but I can't seem to get my finger on that one. So frustrating! I have been using the Smashbox Illuminating Primer under Vitalumiere Aqua, and I like the illumination it gives, but there's a bit of pink to the primer, and I'm trying to tone down some of the pinks in my skin. I tried using MAC Strobe under Vitalumiere Aqua, but decided it really needs a primer, not just an illuminizer (is that even a word?), so I'm coming back to the Le Blanc Base. Thanks for your info about the bases :) I like knowing as much as possible about why people prefer the things they prefer, I feel like it helps me have a more well-rounded idea of what I'm getting myself into.

I got Mimosa yesterday and i'm wearing it right now. I like the colour, but it did need three coats. I only have one other yellow polish and that one is a dirty green yellow, Fiercely Fiona by OPI. I felt like Mimosa had a better formula than that one. So maybe it does apply better than most yellows, but i can't say for sure. I like that Mimosa isn't a cream colour. The tiny subtile shimmers make it really pretty i think. I'm excited to try more Chanel products right now, but i have to wait till after my vacation

Guys, guys! I got Rose Platine!!!

I'm so excited, lol! I had to go on a veritable odyssey for it, it was sold out nearly at every counter or store in my quite decent sized city. It's my first Chanel item I bought for myself apart from polishes, so it's a premiere for me! Yay!

I nearly bought one of the bronzers but couldn't decide which one, so I swatched one of them on each hand, and went home, where I promptly compared it to my other bronzers. And Bronze Rosé is nearly indistinguishable from the EL sea star powder on my skin - so money saved!

No off to play with the liner - any recs how to wear it?

I bought Rose Platine

on Monday and it was my first Chanel purchase, too

! Luckily, I had no trouble finding it since it was released only a couple of days ago and apparently the LE madness isn't such an issue here.

I've only worn Rose Platine twice, but I believe that it's really versatile and can be used in numerous looks. When I bought it I already had my mu on (a light peachy look - tweet me, orb and nanogold) and I didn't have anything on the waterline and lower lash Iine, so I tried RP and it was really nice. It isn't as stark as brown or black liners and really brightenes up the eyes and defines them without being obvious. It was also gorgeous with the golden-taupe from Rajasthan (NARS) - I used RP all around, lining my upper and lower lash line& Rajasthan on the lid. A super quick and pretty look.

I'm still deciding on the bronzer (Rose). I was a bit overwhelmed because all the summer collection were released together (Chanel, Dior, Guerlain...) and I was in a bit of a hurry so I just ended up rushing from one counter to another, swatching the products and I couldn't decide between Dior's Aurora, Chanel's Bronze Rose and Guerlain's Terra Inca. Guerlain's seems to be a bit 'frosty' for my taste, and I'm worried about Dior's warmness. Any recommendations ladies?

I have Dior Sunset, Chanel Bronze Coral and Guerlain Terra Inca which I absolutely love! I love the Chanel aswell and the Dior is ok but I don't see myself reaching for it often. All the products are different from each other though, Terra Inca is best for highlighting (for my skin anyways), I use Chanel more as a blush and Dior is better if you want a sun kissed look or if you want to contour. HTH even though I technically don't have the shades you want! :)

And I am LOVING Lilium!! What a great quad it is! MissQQ, I watched the vid too, but I've been wearing mine with the darkest green in the outer v, and the rose color or taupey color above the crease. And RP to line.

^^ Congrats on getting your hands on BR! I'm wearing it today too! I use the brush that comes with the compact. It picks up the powder very well and is wide enough. I'm usually not a fan of the brushes in their compacts but this one works well with the powder. I use my usual blush brush and it can't pick up enough powder. Give it a try, if you don't like it, you can use your full sized brush.
