I had a little F1 tornado at my house a few years ago. It was the scariest thing ever. My neighbor was driving down the street and saw it heading at us. I was upstairs in my office on my computer. I knew we were under tornado watch but we have alot of those and nothing had ever come of it up to that point so I wasn't that concerned. All of a sudden I heard the classic train noise and thought to myself "Doesn't that sound like what they say a tornado sounds like?". Before I could ask myself a second time it was very obvious and I was tearing down the stairs to the downstairs (interior) powder room as fast as I could. By the time I got onto the floor in there it was all over, but the noises I heard as I was making my way there were unreal. We've had several trees fall on the house during storms over the years so I know what that sounds/feels like and I thought I was going to find a bunch of trees thru the roof and on the second floor or a bunch of the windows busted. It turned out the tornado sheered the tops off multiple of trees behind the house and plunked them down in the front yard, with the treetops puncturing holes in the roof of the house along the way. It also completely uprooted one tree in front of my house and did put it through my neighbor's roof. The damage was relatively *nothing* for a tornado but it was still the scariest thing ever to me, and now I'm a basket case during tornado watches and strong thunderstorms. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to experience a strong tornado. Glad everyone here has stayed safe -- I feel so badly for the many people that have suffered in the crazy weather all around the world lately!

I found out today the Byzance collection won't be sold here. I also read somewhere that it won't be sold in Germany either. In Paris this collection is on sale in only two stores and I don't even know if they're selling it anywhere else in France.
Guess I'll have to buy it on ebay, but the prices right now are crazy. I'll wait a couple of weeks but one way or another I'm getting my hands on both blushes, the quad and the lipstick.

Panther, yes, it was very scary. We were getting ready to leave for the mass for my son's graduation, and I had heard there was a tornado warning - I went downstairs and turned on the Weather channel in time to see it ripping across one of the bridges in Springfield. It was such chaos that the WC couldn't seem to report on it properly - we had to wait until that night to find out what had happened.
Mother Nature is sure having her way with us this year!
Andromeda, I can't believe you guys won't be getting it. What is UP with these cosmetics companies and limited releases? I guess it increases the hype, but it's just not fair to those of us who really want the product.......
Is there someone who could do a CP for you?

I know its crazy! I saw some pictures of the volcano thats erupted - its so scary, I feel so sorry for everyone that has to deal with these situations

Oh my Winthrop - how scary!!!
Saturday we had friends stop by & they asked us to follow them (about 40 min) to a Winery for pizza & wine and on the way there we drove right through where the Tornado warning was. I was so scared. Rain that you cannot see thru, hail - freaked us out because we didn't want our car dented, huge wash out puddles in the road, wind & lightening OMG! We stayed a bit at the winery until it blew over but boy was I ever glad to get home that night. We never ever go to that area - yeah, that was the only area that had the tornado warning.
Maybe I should have drank a lot to calm my nerves

Winthrop, Elegant, what scary experiences.
To stay on topic, I'll have to stop by my counter this week to see what info they have about this collection! I've thought long and hard about what I want to get, because I really have to limit myself. The l/s (lighter one) and blush are my two must haves. Really hope the gel shadows are permanent.

I just tried doing a search for Paris and the two stores it returned are precisely the two stores where the Byzance collection is on sale (has been since the 1st of this month). It didn't retun any results for my country, nor for Germany which is in accordance with the information I have. Searching for London returned quite a few stores so there's hope yet for those who live in the area or have friends that do.

[/quote] Thanks for the info, although to be honest I was expecting this. It's always the same, we only get the seasonal collections and nothing else. Winthorp, that tornado sounds scary. It really makes me feel like a wuss when I am not very happy with ordinary thunderstorms. Panther, Shypo, hope you are ok.

I feel like I always see things from Chanel that I kind of like, but not enough to fork over the money. But the quad in Prelude is stunning! If I have to skip Semi-Precious and Bloggers to get my hands on that quad, I think I will. Looks so natural and gorgeous.
I also love the red blush, but it's not something I would wear enough to go through the effort of tracking one down.
I can't stop staring at Prelude! I wish I hadn't stumbled into this thread.

Does she mean by this the collection will be sold on all UK counters and not just the ones that sell Les Exclusifs de Chanel?According to this website Selfridges should get the collection on June 15th!

I think so, although I have read previously that this collection is exclusive to Chanel boutiques so I'd check with you Chanel counter to make sure

Tornadoes sound so scary. Hugs to those who experienced it or part of it (winthrop, elegant, cheryl and nora) and glad you are safe. I've heard that the sound they make is haunting and chilling. Well here I was complaining about minor floods - nothing compared to what other places deal with.
