HG, circus is right!! What a joke! We'll see it when we see it I guess. And we'll all snap it up, and Chanel won't have to change a thing. Oh well. The things we do for beauty and for beautiful things!

I think we're all spoiled by MAC with their published release dates. When I used to deal with Lancome they were much more like Chanel..."we'll get it when we get it" type attitude. It's not really that big a deal. People may get anxious to

but Chanel doesn't sell out in a matter of hours or even before the collection is formally displayed on the web site like MAC does

^^ That's true. And the lancome counters I have here don't have a displayer stand when new collection launches. They just display them in the usual counter (find or make some space there) or worse, they keep the new items in the drawers and only when I ask them about it, they fish out the tester for me. It's a strange way to do business. Back to chanel, I tried Rouge Byzatin on today. I applied it on richly to see the full effect and I like it! It is a red that can be pulled off without too much work. I wore it with Kaska Beige and the red JC. The pinky red cheeks and lips make me quite happy today.

I'm glad you like Byzantin! Can't wait to try it!

I rang up a few Chanel Boutiques and they where expecting the shipment early this week but it has not arrived yet so it might be next week. I'm guessing that's why Selfridges have moved up the release date

I was able to pre-order Rouge Byzantine and Rouge JC at the flagship Nordies in Seattle today. They are getting very limited numbers of everything. I passed on the quad since my wish list for the Anniversary Sale and Fall 2011 are quite extensive but now I wonder if I made a mistake.

[/quote] Good questions. The swatches look great, but the colours look to be very dupeable. Comparison swatches would be great. I envy you UK girls that are actually getting the collection. I wonder if France gets it.

Hmmm...that is exactly why I ended up swapping away my Merrily. I can't do a whole lot of blending and buffing on my face without my skin burning for the rest of the day.

The collection has been on sale in France since the beggining of the month. I know it's on sale in Paris, but don't know if it's being sold elsewhere in France. You can read more about it here.

I can't remember when I last was this excited for a makeup collection. It's gonna be so hard staying on a budget...I even start to want backups of some products already, lol.

The ls is a gorgeous colour, but the Red blush seems a bit common for red blushes .. jmho. There was a company called Pout, and they put out a red blush in a huge pan which was gorgeous. I still have my red blush and other red blushes from other companies. Sadly Pout went under.

I don't mean to be contrarian, but that's my job here.. lol. The quad looks -- like a lot of dupeable colours so if you are on a budge, don't feel like you're missing anything spectacular.
