I'm hoping the UPS lady will be here soon....I usually see her round here between 12 and 2. On some occassions (rarely) she gets here after 3. Trying to be patient but it's really killing me

Don't feel bad, my UPS dude always stops at my house between 6 and 7 p.m., it seems. I'm still hoping that my package will be there when I get home from work, though. It's been on the truck, out for delivery, all the livelong day.
I hate that I'm always seriously the last person on my UPS man's route. He likes to come here at like 7pm, and I have to work tonight. boooo.

Looks like I won't be able to get my hands on JW- even with restocks I've not been able to get on the site in time for it to be in stock. Oh well I guess it wasn't meant to be. *Sigh*

Got my package today, had it delivered to work so it would be delivered early in the morning! I got hocus pocus, jelousy wakes, parisian skies and evolution revolution.
They are just stunning colors. All the eyeshadows are so silky and pigmented and the lipgloss at first looked pretty run of the mill but it is packed with really pretty sparkly glitter that gives the color dimension. I did notice though after swatching it and then wiping it off there was a lot of glitter left on my hand - kinda like how the dazzle lipsticks are. - I think this lipgloss is the sleeper of the whole collection, a must have in my opinion!

Am I just not looking hard enough, or is there very little information on Caqui? The beautymaverick blog is a little hard to navigate I really love reading all the backstories and inspirations behind each color but other than an announcement on its availability (including a link in that post that goes nowhere - for me, at least) I really don't see anything on the blog... which strikes me as odd. Oh well.
Anyway, as for me -- I was lucky enough to get the sold out shades on the first day. I was checking and refreshing the website like MAD. I got Jealousy Wakes, Hocus Pocus, and Evolution Revolution. Aaaand I'm on the west coast so it'll be awhile before I can use them. But congrats to everyone who got what they wanted and good luck to everyone else still ordering! I really am wondering now if I should get one of the darker lipglasses too... I can't decide!

Glad that most everyone got what they wanted - and more importantly, MAC delivered on awesome products for these blogger creations! I do hope that there's a change on the decision not to restock tho. I'm trying to be really good and not get anything for at least 2 more weeks (splurged a bit on Surf Baby!) but would cave if Hocus Pocus was still available. Jealousy Wakes is gorgeous but I won't get as much use out of it. Parisian Skies is on my list too but also sold out in Canada. =(
So if I can't buy anything right now... please people post awesome fotd's with these beautiful babies! =)

Having fun with Parisian Skies and Jealousy Wakes (& AOMPL)...
I noticed that the blue shimmer in PS actually "migrated" across my lids a little (but NOT over my face, which is good), so that later in the day, when I blinked, I could see this cornflower-blue twinkling over my lids (PS was applied on the outer part of the lid initially). It blends extremely well.
Both PS and JW (like Hocus Pocus) pack a LOT of punch. I found I could pat on a little for a lot of mileage. JW did require a little more to get the intensity I wanted, but I was going for something fairly bright, so that's not entirely surprising.
I really hope that Mac, or another company for that matter, do this sort of thing again. You can just feel that each of these shades mattered to someone, so the depth and quality are greater than they have been for some other recent collections.

[/quote] Lele, in my personal opinion Caqui and Wonder are both worth having. Wonder is brighter and more red. Caqui is deeper and definitely more orange. I would also say it's a tad bit more opaque. Wonder isn't sheer at all, as you know, but you need even less of Caqui to get full coverage. Also, it leaves the lips looking all supple :hot:. Surf USA is brighter and it leans teal. Jealousy Wakes is really an Emerald Green. I don't see any teal in this. It's more in the green family for sure. When I look at jealousy wakes I think of smoking it out because it's a deep, sexy color. I don't think that way with Surf USA. Then again, it all depends on your idea of a smokey eye and what you want to wear with it. I admire Christine's work even more now that I have JW in my hands because I see it's a real green and unique to any color Mac has had in a long time(since I've been buying in 2008). You won't die without this shadow, but if Mac didn't restock, I would hit up ebay(but I sure as hell wouldn't go beyond $30 for this or any shadow :nono.

I thought that at first, but I checked them side by side and they're quite different. Red Devil actually looks quite muted next to SR. SR is noticeably redder and the shimmer is much more evident.

[/quote] This is spot on. After I put Hocus Pocus in the crease, I went of JW again just to bring the intensity back. It's not hard to work with, but you can build it. I actually had to redo one of my eyes because even though HP is so smooth, I dug in with my heavy-handed self. I was blending until my hand wanted to fall off, but I just stopped and tried again. These things are effortless. Great look, btw.
