Yay! Can't wait to hear how you like everything, especially the Illusion d'Ombres.I just got back with my haul - I was a very bad girl. I got the quad, the JC, Quartz np, Plumetis RC, Pampille glossimer () and 3 of the Illusion d'Ombres in Epatant, Illusiore and Ebloui. These are gorgeous. I hope I like the application (they come with a little brush) and that they are not too sheer, but we'll see. The colors are drop-dead gorgeous. I had to leave Emerveille behind this time.....but I may end up with that one too if I like them.

I am ultimately going to do some Semi Precious damage as well - I couldn't resist the MSFs, the blushes, the lipsticks, and a couple of the shadows. Oh, and the BRUSHES!! I'm going to try to whittle my list down if I can.....but the definite items are Pressed Amber blush, Gem of Roses l/s, Musky Amethyst l/s, One of a Kind l/s, and 3 of the MSFs. Yikes!
Today I went to the mall and to the Chanel counter at Nordstroms. They will not be carrying Byzance and didn't even know about its existence! I was able to swatch some other things like a madwoman, in spite of every place being rather busy, and ended up with RCS in Boy and Monte Carlo, RA in Lover (so pretty!!), Mystic quad and glossimer in Myriade. They won't be getting the fall items in for another 2 weeks so I have time to save for a few other goodies and if I can't get anything on Byzance (?) online then I will just have to live without it. She did tell me that the colour schemes for fall were gold and red, in everything!!! So take stock of all your golds and reds and get ready!!

I cannot tell you guys how much I am loving the new cream es!!! I tried both the Ebloui & Illusoire under my lower lash line brown liner - OMG gorgeous! I also used both over my staple es - MAC's Root ccb
just added such beautiful depth. The brush that comes with them works great for lining under the eyes.
And I got Gabrielle ls - gorgeous red.

You get Nordies bucks to spend ($20 for the first $100 you spend) & its the only way to get the LeBlanc collection early. You also get points for everything you by at Nordstrom. That will definitely add up for me
I think the ls is softer peach than Liberte.

Oh thank you, that card sounds great! $20 off $100 is amazing deal, now I got to think about all Chanel items I still want. (Graphite, RCS, Le Blanc)
Gosh all these collections are really going to cost me, last week the fall haul, today Byzantin, next week Le Blanc.........................and yeah there is also sophisticated eye with 2 quads and the holiday highlighting powder.

I feel ya. My wallet was lucky I only wanted the quad after all.
The associates at the Chanel boutique told me that the Byzantine collection is really only for "die-hard Chanel fans"

Thanks! I can see Quartz becoming permanent, but I don't see the same with the other two, particularly Peridot. I'd be curious to see what info the SA's have, if any, lol! I don't blame them really, Chanel seems to like to keep things vague!

Yes it is! I just happened to wander past my fave counter, so I popped in and preordered. The SA even had to write my order down because it's not yet in their computer system! But she didn't seem surprised at all to get preorders that early!
We really don't get the Bycance collection, do we? Really?

Yup. I hope we at least get the holiday collection this year.
I think I'll wait a little before calling my nearest counter and preordering. They'll probably think I'm crazy when I call this early, it's a small counter in a small city. They're not used to makeup-crazy people, I don't think they're used to people calling and preoerdering stuff at all. I should still be able to get anything when I call shortly before it launches.

He didn't reply to her emails, but he did read them and promptly went to Selfridges to buy everything. I'm soooo happy! He's coming home in 4 days and will bring my beautiful collection with him. I can hardly wait!

So, I talked with an actual Chanel MUA today that can actually look at the Byzance collection & she said that the red blush is warm toned. But, they cannot swatch it because there are no testers so I am still hopeful. She was really surprised when I told her that the red lipstick is more pink/fuchsia based on than the deeper red that it looks in the tube. so....we'll see

Do you recommend using a brush to put on these shadows or will a finger work as well? I tend to blend/apply cream shadows, paintpots, etc with my finger.
