but Stunning is a darker version of MLBB not quite as pink/nude as Plumetis on my lips.Stunning doesn't do much for me either. I should have sent it back.

I just got my ship notice for my Byzance goodies - I'm getting it tomorrow!!!! Wow, they did a 2 day ship for free. I'm so excited.

What happened to KS Holiday chart? I had it bookmarked but its gone. Anyhow there is that new Pink in I think a Laque - it was gorgeous on the chart in person. I love the Laques a lot.

All, I pm'd Lou to find out what we need to do to create a 'color story' thread for Chanel (like we have for MAC) - I'll work with her to get that set up!

Yay! Getting mine tomorrow too. I think Chanel is really good about not keeping people waiting over a weekend if at all possible. In the holiday thread mercurysmile posted links to cached versions of the collection info that Karla originally had up.

winthrop - thanks yup, Stunning has a bit of a frost. The frost actually did not show up on my lips until I used the UCL cream. I saw the swatches, they look very close. Maybe I should stay away from Plumetis because Stunning is such a disappointment for me. It's great that mac prep & prim lip does the same thing and it is much friendlier on the wallet! Is it a perm item? I must go check it out.

OK, I was very happy with how my makeup came out today, so decided to post pics.....BUT, Spektra is having a 'temporary problem'

and I have to try it again later......needed to get out of the post but didn't want to lose the info. Hopefully it will work later!

Bummer -- I got my shipping notice from Chanel and it isn't scheduled to get here until next Wednesday. It takes soooo long to get out here. Gives me something to look forward to

Lou -- what a pain about the shipping!! Glad they'll leave it with a neighbor so you can get your package!

Gail -- I still think OR rose is lovely, too. I will have to add it to my collection some day. Do you notice the sparkles on your skin? Crazy how RE pulls warmer or cooler on different skintones. I am hoping it pulls cool on me! And I am the same with MAC -- there are some things in the perm line that I still like -- but not too crazy about their LE stuff anymore.

Elveneyes -- yay -- can't wait to hear an update on your goodies!

Elegant -- Woo hoo for the fast shipping! Can't wait to hear about it!! I was eyeing that pink Laque, too. Maybe the Holiday collection is when I'll splurge on a red lippie!

To everyone who has shared their stories of times when they have had to really budget spending -- a lot of us have been there! In March of 2010 I had just started getting into the Chanel boards and my hubby found out he was getting laid off. That had never happened to us before and it was extremely stressful and devastating (oh yeah, and our house flooded right after)!! I cut out all extra spending and missed out on all of the fun collections for a bit -- but I had fun listening to everyone else. Fortunately he found contract work to get him through and then found another job that he absolutely loves! So hugs to all of you being good and please still hang out here

Yup Anneri and Honey&lemongirl - hang in there, and continue to hang out here! I was budgetting earlier this year too. And when I followed all the mac LE collections and chanel, it became too much for me. My last mac purchase was in summer last year, but I have b2m for 2 lipsticks since.

So having come from MAC land it's weird to me that it's been a day since release and all the Byzance stuff is still available on Chanel's site. o.o Now I know I never have to stress about getting a hot LE item like I had to with MAC...I'm done with those games.

Yet again Etole looks pink...I really need to see this lippy in person. If it pulls rose-pink-brown I may pick it up, been needing a MLBB shade.

After much debate, I finally pressed submit. I got quite a lot. I thought I would just get the limited items but I ended up getting Epatant and Quartz nailpolish anyway. I have the Les Perles Palette and the colors look very similar but I just had to try this new formula. Also, I decided to not get any of the new Mac brushes so that freed up a few more $. I got:

• Topkapi quad
• Rouge blush
• Or blush
• Peridot, Graphite and Quartz polish
• Braise glossimer
• Khaki Platine eyeliner

I still have my eye on the Lilium and the Prelude quads.

Okay, it took me a LONG time to finally hit 'submit' on my Chanel order. I've decided to completely do away with any wishlist for the fall collection. I like the Byzance (sp?) collection much better.

I ended up with both of the blushes (because I think they'll go first) and the eyeshadow quad (just because). I thought about the nailpolishes, but I want to get them in person, so I've put my local Chanel reps on alert. Same for the lipstick. I want to wear it in person first.

The cream shadows are total glitterbomb... NOT interested. I thought the colors would just be 'light reflecting' -- but every swatch I see has them loaded with glitter. I get enough shimmer from Armani.

I might get a glossimer.

So I'm 151.00 poorer... but I'm looking forward to the blushes, especially the red (which swatches more of a red brown... a true rouge).

Chanel Byzance Collection - please have a look and give some feedback . Then if all is ok with you guys I shall create more and also sort out the co-ordinating discussion threads for you all just like we have in the mac section. And don't be scared if you have negative feedback! I can take it!

On another note i got my quad and lippie today! the quad is a stunner! the shadows are so soft and so beautiful looking. the lippie is much more pink than i thought and the shimmers are beautiful. i'm test driving it now on my lips and it feels nice. not overly soft but not drying either

Great idea organising the Chanel colour stories I think its great all it needs is release date info and prices like Anneri mentioned and its good to go! Hope you enjoy your goodies! I wore Or and Rouge today and I seriously need to learn how to do a light hand with Rouge! I had to blend blend blend as I over applied and looked like a tomato!

In the USA on Chanel.com it was June 29th, 2011. But not sure about the Boutiques as they had it earlier.
