I just put on my first Chanel nail polish and if it lasts 3 days or more, I am hooked. It goes on like butter. It has a smaller brush which my tiny nails appreciate! It dries fast, maybe a bit too fast! But two applications and it is perfectly opaque. About time! Too many polishes are needing a 3rd or 4th cover and that is ridiculous. They last longer with less layers. So, I did top it off with Seche Vite, so we shall see how it goes! I am wearing Quartz, from the Chanel Fall Collection (perfect pairing to Prelude Quad) and would describe it as a Frosty Antique Pewter!
Thanks ladies for your words of support regarding my recent horrible experience at the counter.

Many years ago at that same store I used to shop with the MAC counter manager. A wonderful lady named Autumn who is fun, professional and very enthusiastic. Spending time with her was always a blast. She moved on to something else and I lost track of her.
Guess who is now the Cosmetics and Fragrance department manager at that store? Yep. You guessed it.
I spoke w/Autumn yesterday about what happened with the messed up order. I also told her about my experiences with the staff. Most times when I go out there I am on my way home from a long shift and am usually still in my scrubs. I definitely don't look like their typical customer at that counter. But looks are deceiving and alot of times I will shop more freely than alot of those women in their designer clothes and expensive purses.
Well Autumn couldn't have been nicer. She is sending a postage paid envelope for me to return the wrong item so I don't have to make another long bus trip into the store and eat up half of my day off. She also pulled one of the few remaining Topkapi quads for me and will be sending that as well. And she will be working with the counter regarding the service issues. I feel much better now.
Regarding Rouge JC and Byzantine l/s. Wore them Friday night. They are gorgeous. Pale ladies don't be afraid of these colors. We can definitely rock them.
Elegant, thanks for turning me on to Ebouli. I love it. I am thinking about trying it over MUFE burgandy aqua cream shadow.
Not really sure about the polishes. Peridot just doesn't look very good on me. Will try Graphite today.

lol Thank you! It was the one I thought I would pass on if I bought any, but really had fun with the lady at the counter as we played with them. She had on Graphite, which I loved and so bought those two on Friday night. Today I went back and got Peridot! Happy to say a day of shopping, typing and errands and Quartz is still chip free! These colours are so beautiful and unique that I think they are worth the money. Graphite actually has a green tinge to it with lots of sparkle rather than just a high frost. Peridot is like a fall leaf. Greens and yellows, gleaming in the rain, chameleon like in the way they change colours according to lighting and angles. I loved the way it looked on her today even though I was already sold.Quartz looks so pretty on you^ and that was the one polish I had convinced myself I don't need!

Sadly Nordies is running very low on stock and could not find what I wanted in lipsticks, so consoled myself at the Estee Lauder counter for a bit!
I completely agree! The price is ridiculous, but the polish is so nice and unique that mine will be used mostly for special occasions; going out for dinner, Thanksgiving, my birthday, parties, family gatherings, etc. Something extra special for those extra special moments! I'll save my other polish brands for everyday use. And if I just "happen" to stumble across one of these and "accidentally" put it on for casual use, who is to stop me?I'm so excited for these to come out in the uk! - I want all 3 polishes now! I've never tried a Chanel polish before so they shall be my first I'm excited for Peridot the most as its so unusual and different which is how everyone I know describes my style in makeup/jewellery
I'll wait for your review/swatches before I make a purchase. I don't want to regret anything. I'm impatiently waiting with you.
