^^ Sounds beautiful! The texture of the quad is just amazing. Did you get to play with the tester? I swatched the tester with my fingers once and I was sold!

Anyone saw the chanel fall haute coutour post on cafemakeup? The models were wearing the fall collection and looking so beautiful. The RA velvet looks a bit dry though, the lips look wrinkly.

debating whether to get the red blush.

cons: price and bad timing, I have already spend fortune on chanell this month
hard to work with, too pigmented

pros: limited, will last forever so maybe a year from now I will be thankfull that I caved

I am so behind on posts here! TY for all the replies on the nail polish. Only one nail chipped but I did eventually take it all off later that day because I really wanted something more summer-like. I won't be sorry that I bought these three because the colours are so different and outstanding that it is worth it even if it only lasts for an event! lol But I won't rush off to get more. Lately Seche Vite has not been my best friend so may go back to OPI or get another brand, though not sure what to get and not familiar with nicknames for brands so if anyone can list a few worth trying beside OPI and Seche Vite I will adore you!

lkram~Get the red blush. And the gold. You will have it for ages and a light hand with both colours will make you look like a lovely autumn leaf! :) You NEED them!

Hey everyone!

Tried to go back to catch up as much as I can! Hope you're all well.

Glad to hear everyone is enjoying their fall items and the Byzance collection. I am looking forward to getting Peridot now, glad to see the great reviews! I personally get a decent amount of wear with Chanel polishes. At least 4 days before chipping on my tips and a solid week and a half on the toes. I may skip the l/s and have fallen in love with the shadow Karin used in her pic (Karin, you look gorgeous!). I've really been reaching for some no fuss neutral shadows lately as well, so may get the fall quad (Prelude?).

Question now is when are we going to get this collection?! I was originally told late August, but I really don't see that happening, we seem to generally get everything a few weeks after the U.S. counters do. I'll have to give my girls a call so they can hook me up as soon as stock arrives, lol!

Hi Nora! I really want the Prelude quad next! I am loving neutrals on the eyes lately -- they are just so easy to wear. I hope you get your hands on it soon. Hope you guys are having a great summer. I know I complained about it being so cold for so long, but now it is **hot**. We just need to hit the pool more often :)

I've seen people on there recommend base coat/top coat by Chanel, Zoya, OPI Nail Envy, Orly Bonder, CND (Creative Nail Design) Stickey, SH (Saly Hansen) Insta-Dry, and Poshe for Chanel polishes, so if you have any others it might be worth experimenting a little to see if any of them work better for you. Also, I read on the MUA nail board that letting the last coat of polish dry for 15 minutes before applying the tc helps. That was reportedly a tip from Chanel in a magazine.

Hope you and your family are enjoying the summer also! It's been fairly hot here, but not too humid... yet. We only got our AC installed yesterday, so now I can at least look forward to the sizzling weather! It was getting fairly uncomfortable at night!

I agree, the neutrals are easier, and much quicker to apply! That is becoming more and more important for me as the mornings seem to be getting more and more hectic. I have gotten so much use out of the GA bronze quad for that very reason. I throw on some bronzer (lately it's been the Dior Aurora bronzer, love) and LM's Dollface gel lippie and I'm out the door! Okay, maybe not quite out the door, more like screaming at the kids to hurry up, lol! The prelude quad should also be quick and easy, since it doesn't look too shimmery, so that is definitely on the list now! ;)

Count me in too! I'm enjoying neutrals on my eyes lately. I don't have to spend so much time blending to ensure all the colours are of the right intensity or brightness, if that makes sense. I asked my coworker to help me buy the LM gel lipstick in HB so hopefully she can find it. :)

winthrop - My lips can get that wrinkly when they are very dry and hurting. I shall wait and see how the velvets are.

Thank you, Winthrop! I am going to make a list and go shop around for some of these and give myself the opportunity to mix it up a bit! :)

Thanks Miss QQ! I swatched it last night... it's such a lovely shimmering red. It doesn't go pink on me... which is what I was worried about. It's a classic Chanel Scarlet Red... love it!

I'm happy to see Chanel getting back to the classics for Autumn. It's appropriate.

Nora and MissQQ -- yep, we love ourselves some neutrals! I love Rose Ecrin blush with the neutrals, too. I wore it yesterday and today and love it. I hope you get your hands on HB, MissQQ. Nora, glad you finally got some AC -- I would die without mine!!

I'm not sure about the Velvets -- I think the Rouge Cocos are a little drying on me and that is why I am such a fan of the Rouge Allures. We shall see!!

Nora - I was told late August at my counter too. We're always behind with Chanel it seems. I don't recall exactly when we got the fall collection last year, but I know it was later than July.

I'm debating whether to get a CP from Prelude quad from US or buy it here in Canada. Will the texture of the US quad be much better?
