OMG - Nordies makes me want to pull my hair out - & that might take awhile

I had my Anniversary items on hold, got the Nordies card which they entered extra numbers when she filled it out - so issues, then I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at the store to actually do my order - then they looked up the wrong address, so its not even getting sent out until tomorrow. What a long wait to get it.

Been busy - painted a bathroom. I swear I never want to paint again.

Thank you Elegant! Shontay, Moulin Rouge is definitely warmer. This is a distinct blue-based red. I understand now why some people were worried about it going fuchsia on them. It definitely has that potential.

Elegant -- ugggh, what is it with these stores that have issues?? I hope Nordies gets it all worked out.
What color are you painting your bathroom? I think I want to paint my Master Bedroom and have hubs put in the high baseboards and crown molding. I have been asking him to do that since we bought our new house 7 years ago . . . le sigh!

So, I went to my Nordies today to play more with the fall collection, and they had a Chanel artist in so she did my makeup. She did a look with Epatant in the inner eye, Ebloui outer, and Khaki Platine on the lower lashline. Color me (ha!) not impressed with the D'Ombres...my eyes were blingy like I had a million tiny diamonds on them--NOT what I was hoping for. Ebloui was much more subtle but Epatant was pure disco ball. Blegh. >_< I'm pleasantly surprised at Khaki Platine, but I'm testing its weartime in this scorching 100+ California heat to see if it's $29 nice. Braise and Rose Cuivre were used with Fabulous RA and the look was a pretty rose color, though the effect looked no different with Fabulous as it did with Etole. I might just buy Rose Cuivre and Braise, and no lippy.

On another note, Espiegle was very pretty as a highlighter for my tan skin, and Terre Ambre was a nice contouring color. Think I'll add those to the " things to eventually buy" list. Too bad the multicolored bronzers were sold out, I wanted to try one.

A very soft beachy sand color with all the cabinets stark crisp white. Then I changed all the knobs on the cabinet doors & drawers to these very stylish modern brushed nickel rectangular knobs

Ooh, that sounds wonderful for the bedroom! Yeah, men do not like redo projects

Yeah, what is the deal with Nordies is what I'm thinking. They apologize all over the place, but whatever. I hope it arrives next week.

I am so behind on posts here! TY for all the replies on the nail polish. Only one nail chipped but I did eventually take it all off later that day because I really wanted something more summer-like. I won't be sorry that I bought these three because the colours are so different and outstanding that it is worth it even if it only lasts for an event! lol But I won't rush off to get more. Lately Seche Vite has not been my best friend so may go back to OPI or get another brand, though not sure what to get and not familiar with nicknames for brands so if anyone can list a few worth trying beside OPI and Seche Vite I will adore you!

lkram~Get the red blush. And the gold. You will have it for ages and a light hand with both colours will make you look like a lovely autumn leaf! You NEED them!

I personally think RC is the sleeper hit of the fall collection, no joke. Ladies, if you haven't taken a look at it in person, I highly recommend it. Pictures don't do it justice, it's a lovely rosewood color with subtle gold shimmer. Pair it with Braise and it's oh so beautiful.

I definitely see why Espiegle is so beloved, though it was unfortunately full of fail for me as a blush. As a highlighter though....gorgeous.

Nora - I was told late August at my counter too. We're always behind with Chanel it seems. I don't recall exactly when we got the fall collection last year, but I know it was later than July.

I'm debating whether to get a CP from Prelude quad from US or buy it here in Canada. Will the texture of the US quad be much better?

I find the US quads and JC's to be WAY better than the baked versions. You don't need to do a CP. Just order from Neiman Marcus online. Free shipping with the code on the top of their webpage and even with the included duty charges it's way cheaper than our inflated Canadian charges. I know I've told you this before but I'm I thought you might need a little reminder ;-)

I wore Peridot nail polish today. Love it. It turned so many different colors. Green, Golden Orangey Copper color, Teal and a Sage color. Got numerous compliments at the Mac store by SAs and customers.

My contact at the Guerlain counter at Holt Renfrew says that there's a whole event happening in mid-August, when most of the counters will be receiving their Fall collections. She included Chanel in the group, so I assume we won't see anything before that. Kind of ridiculous, really.

Hey ladies. I've been MIA from specktra for awhile but I'm back. Today I skipped over semi-precious and got my first ever Chanel items. I got the prelude quad and epatante cream shadow from the fall collection. I also got espiegle blush. So excited to try this stuff out. It's all so pretty!

Elegant, the colours for your bathroom sound so pretty, and calming! I have antique white cabinets in our master bathroom and I love them, and tons of a warm sandy beige tiles! White cabinets make me happy!

I know, it can get so expensive. We have it in the family room -- but I would love to extend into the kitchen and Master also. I guess it is pretty complicated to cut and hang crown moulding yourself, so my hubs is going to have to get some help from someone who knows what they're doing!!
I also love white -- the whole Pottery Barn style = love. I just have to take it one room and a time

Grr! I'm actually going to be in Toronto this weekend (probably the only time this year). I was REALLY hoping that some of the fall collections would be out :-( I especially wanted to get a backup of Peridot and check out the Illusions d'Ombres eyeshadows in person. Not that I would buy anything from Armani or Chanel there anyways. Too flippin expensive. The Gloss d'Armanis have supposedly arrived but they are $28 US and $36 CDN. Um no thanks!

So speaking of that...question for you Canadian gals:

Chanel and Armani are GROSSLY overpriced here. Dior and Guerlain are not bad at all, usually only a buck or few more. Does anyone have any idea idea how some of the other brands compare? YSL? Chantecaille? BB? etc? Trying to plan if my trip is just going to be a giant window shopping adventure or if there is actually anything that may be worth picking up.
