MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

Has anybody compared this to Warmed MSF? I didn't by GS because it looked to be almost a dead ringer for Warmed, which I LOVE (and already have 2 of).....but I would totally buy another one, especially if it is just slightly different enough to justify....

It is much more subtle than any bronzer that MAC has ever released. It gives you more of a bronzey glow instead of an actual bronzed color.

I think they're nothing alike. I wasn't going to get Clarity at 1st, but then I saw it in the store when I was picking up my pre-orders & I had to have it. I have them both, I posted them next to each other in the swatch thread. The MA is right, there is nothing close (or at least in my collection, & I have been collecting for 10+ yrs).

Are Jades Fortune and Clarity similar? According to the SA at the shop, Jades Fortune is close to Knights Divine but there is nothing similar to Clarity. What is your opinion? Thanks!

So, I want Goldstone but I do not like bronzers

I don't like bronzers either!

Goldstone is so different from any other bronzer I've tried. It just gives you a very sheer hint of beautiful bronzy coral-y shimmer.Like a wash of sun kissed color. It's really beautiful on. I put it on as soon as I got it home and it looks great. I think anyone could wear this and it would look fabulous!

GS does give you a very glowy look. Sun-kissed I would say!

I really was going to skip this collection, but decided to at least look at these in person. I had to come home with Clarity. That is one goregeous shadow. Multi color glitter - how could I not? Someone asked pages ago (just catching up) how it compares to Hocus Pocus. The 2 aren't dupes at all, but I wore Clarity all over the lid and HP on the outer v and it was love. Anyone who loves HP, I think would love Clarity as well. With all the multi color going on it gives off a duochrome vibe which I adore. The fallout wasn't bad and it didn't look like a disco ball when applied. I don't plan to go back for anything else, but I'm glad I did get this one thing.

I've just ordered Gem of Roses. All this talk about how great it is made me think that maybe I overlooked it. The lighting was pretty rubbish at the HoF counter where I checked it out last week.

I should stop looking at this thread, I have spent a fortune on this collection already.

Here is the look I mentioned earlier with Mineral Mode and Rare Find, I have CP middle puddle as a blush and the outer ring as an all over highlight. I think mineral mode and rare find create a lovely polished day time look, with a slightly more modern twist on a taupe smokey eye as although the pictures don't show it, there is a hint of purple when it hits the light. I have GoR on my lips.

For NC/NW10 it might be a stretch, but still do-able, but it will certainly work for NC/NW15. It's the lightest bronzer ever.

The more you buff it, the sheerer the bronzey shimmer. It just looks kind of dark in the pan. If you are really light, you want to get one with a big nipple, which will gives you a much lighter version of GS.

Aww thanks rockin! I'm so glad the MUA suggested Rare Find as I would never have even looked at it if he hadn't of mentioned it. When he said it was a taupe with a purple twist, I was like 'yeah yeah..' but he swatched it and I fell in love

I'm always doing a billion things with hair, this is how I usually have it for work as I can't wear it down
