I may have to make another trip to my counter to look at Evil Eye. I really love colors like it. And I've had good experiences with other "hated" quads (like the WW Defiance quad, which I just wore the other day).I have to agree with posts saying the evil eye quad is not that bad. I stopped by MAC yesterday to swatch a few things and ended up getting both quads, midnight blues, & 3 shadesticks. The evil eye quad shows up well & with decent pigmentation when layered over a paint pot. I used it over painterly today, along with prance & blanc type, and I really like the look. I agree that it is not an A+ palette or the best thing that MAC has ever released. I certainly wouldn't call it the worst though. I am NW 20, and I like that I can build up the color.

Of course, I am also NC20 and wear smoky eyes a lot as a day look, so I also like the idea of a "buildable" dark quad. I have lots of dark colors already, and if Evil Eye was super-pigmented, I probably wouldn't need it -- I have plenty of blackened colors.

http://www.specktra.net/f/217/product-swatchesI haven't been here in a while, did they do away with the swatch posts on all the different color collections or am I just blind?
Perhaps you can check out the eyeliner brush that came out with the collection (211) or maybe the 210. I've been using the 231 with my gel liners. The new 211 has been getting pretty good reviews. Can anyone recommend a brush to use with the fluidlines for someone who is new to gel/liquid liner? I was thinking about the 263 as I don't want anything too thick! I'm so excited for Avenue
