Thanks, Elegant. :frenz: I was just thinking that the colors Chanel chose are interesting. They're not typical at all, but they still fit somehow. Even a color like Triomphal is surprising because of the shimmer in it. It makes it look kinda pinky, but still red. I swatched it just for fun and not expecting my jaw to hit the floor. I just tried on all my colors and they are amazing. Cannot wait to take these babies out on the town. Now, I am in the poorhouse, though. I didn't expect to buy anything from this so I went to the YSL counter first and did damage there. :lol:

Oh my, the new iphone is freakin amazing! My son got his today & he told it to call his parents & it recognized what he said & it called us

Artificial intelligence! He can talk to the phone, it understands exactly what he is saying & then texts it to us. Holy cow - its the Jetsons

We did face time with him & with the Cloud, our ipad, ipod touch, & MAC are all connected to ours & his. We even got to see the cat & dog

I am so amazed by the technology.

The nail polish looks beautiful Sweet Beige looks lovely over a lot of pinks & nudes. I really do not have any color like it.

I walked by an Apple store with people wrapped around the corner. It was 7 in the evening! Insanity. I love my iphone and I love that people go nuts over it, but I am waiting for #5. I want it slimmer and with a bigger screen. But, yeah back to Chanel...

I got the Shocking mascara and the bronze black gel liner for myslef and the purple gel liner as a birthday gift for a friend. I have the purple one for myself and it's awesome. I've never been a fan of YSL mascaras, but a nice MUA gave me a sample of Shocking and I knew I had to go back for it. It made me put down my Inimitable.

From the sample of Shocking that I've been using for about a week or so, I can say that it definitely pumps up the volume for me. It curls, too. It only takes a little to make it dramatic and that was tricky for me at first. I am heavy-handed so, I really have to remember less is more. It's my new fave mascara. Plus, the tube is so pretty. retty:

I can't properly capture all the pretty. I really like Eviree. It's definitely noticeable. It's slightly buildable. It gives off a pinky red color with plenty of shimmer. Festive. Here's Enviree, Sweet Beige and Triomphal

I'm surprised that Sweet Beige is getting some love here. Sounds bad for my wallet.. But looks like the fairy powder is a pass too. Michelle - hope Famous works for you the next time you try it. Don't pay too much attention to the lip swatch you took, I find that lip swatch photos always look unflattering for me too. Perhaps you wear Famous with full makeup on and it will look better. I notice when I wear strong lips, I need good skin, especially foundation and blush, in order to wear the reds well. Flamboyante turns warm on me and so its not my favorite red. I like Cambon a lot! Pleased to hear you like Enviree. I think Empire and Enviree will be my new favorites. Shontay - thanks for the swatches. They look gorgeous on your skin tone! Winthrop - thanks for sharing the BL look. I love multi dimensional shimmer so I feel I will cave for it too. Elegant - thanks for sharing the EL skincare and Lancome visionnaire. I will start investing in skincare more so I will check them out.

Tell me about it. I chose Chanel over Nars. Although, I might end up with Joyous lipstick eventually. This Holiday collection really surprised me.

The fairy dust is really pretty. It was a pass for me, though because it's just too much shimmer/glitter for my face. It won't work for me, I already know.

I'm in that group as well. I already have an iPhone 4 (which Apple replaced 'gratis' when it fell into a sink of water) so I've advised people unless you have the 3GS model or no iPhone at all, no real reason to go for the 4S. I'm trying to ignore all the geeking out I'm doing over the Siri application as I did work with computers and Natural Language as an undergrad engineering student.
