with any holiday mu, do try the Chanel clair pencil.. it is wonderful to line the waterline and make the clear bright eyed, bushy tailed look done by Peter Phillips on his models... oh yes!!

That is what I found as well. Beige Lame pretty much blends into my skintone and really doesn't look like much. If you find an exciting way to wear it, then please let me know. I would hate to send it back.

I got my Beige Lame eyeshadow, but it doesn't show up on me very well. I'm sure it will if I use it over something. The multi color shimmer is lovely.

LOL! My husband used to come home with some ca-razy stuff from the grocery store. He has been on a major health kick lately and now I'm like "where's the chocolate??".
Yep, let your husband float away -- he's probably much happier that way

Have fun at the party. You can show those trophy wives how it's really done!

Doritos & Twizzlers - aren't those vegetables for men

Have a great time!

Thanks guys. I hope there will be a couple of interesting people there to chat with. I hate to do the fake smile and pretend I'm having a good time look.

Yes Elegant, I do think Doritos and Twizzlers are vegies for men. I'm just waiting for him to figure a way to grill them with steaks.

I went and got a mani-pedi today. The hand and foot massage felt really nice.

I just came back from my local Chanel counter (yet again!) and came home with Beige Lame and the highlighter. I can't wait to play with them!

^^ Which counter did you buy from? I went to Takashimaya and it wasn't out yet so I'll wait.

shadow - Hope you had a great evening. The heels sounds gorgeous. I saw pics of celebrities wearing his heels and they are hot!

EB - Very pretty! Red RAs are the best! Wait for the RA velvets if you like matte lips!

The holiday collection wasn't out yet at my usual counter, but the brush set was, so it came home with me. The zip is a square like the quad and JC compact, with a pink CC logo with a circle around. The "CHANEL' on the bag is pink too, but it is like fabric sticker stuck on, so with time and tossing around in the purse, the words may peel off. The brush head of angled powder brush is smaller than the full size, and the foundation brush is smaller and the hairs are different from the new full size foundation brush. The brush handles are matte, with pink "CHANEL" printed and the ferrule is black plastic. I like the brush set 2 or 3 years ago where the ferrule is made of metal. I like the pink details and the brushes feel soft. These are made in China.

winthrop - You bought the duo already so not much help here. I swatched the ivory shade and the cream of Khaki-Clair and clair is more yellow and frosty, while Ivory is more shimmery. I have a pic on my iPhone and can upload tomorrow with the pics of the brush set.

Is Blazing Gold like the gold in Topkapi? I think the gold in Topkapi is more metallic and intense while BG is softer if I'm not wrong. I saw "My Super Sweet Sixteen" on TV, lol, and the girl lived in Africa and her birthday party theme was safari. So she wore this beautiful floaty satin leopard print dress (black, brown and silver) and her makeup was gorgeous. Her eye makeup was gold on the inner lids and a deep smoky blue on the outer lids and it went so well with her dress and animal theme. I'm going to try pairing gold with dark blue!

MIssQQ ~ I think Elegant described Blazing Gold as a really soft gold. Can you believe I haven't even used the gold shade in my Topkapi quad yet?? I love the idea of the gold with the blue e/s. Let us know how it turns out!!

MissQQ, the brush set sounds pretty - let us know how you like it after you use it. I hope you get to see the holiday collection soon!!

I think I may have to cave on the duo - yours and Gail's descriptions sound like something I would like.

I also love the thought of golds with deep blues - wonder how BG would pair with Lagons?

^^ Did you get BG? I've seen the collection, just that it is not at my usual counter so I'm not buying yet. Your avatar is so cute, heehee!

Michelle - The gold in Topkapi is like liquid metal. You should use it soon!

Elegant, is there a liner you had in mind to use with it? I'm bad at matching things like that!

Any light pink or peach or pinky peach or even a neutral nude will work but here's a few that may work.

MAC
In Anticipation
Staunchly Stylish
Pink Edge
Pink Treat
Sublime Culture
Subculture
Gingerroot

I think BL could look good on the inner half of the eye paired with a navy or deep indigo blue on the outer half too. I think if you have pale-ish to medium color lids the key is using a base and pairing it with something significantly lighter or darker, but I find it elegant and unique to my collection. I can't wear it as a wash like Ingenue though because it completely disappears on my skin. I think it would look really beautiful as a wash on darker skin.

Ooh, I like that with the navy! Like you, it totally disappeared on my lids too. Your combo makes it lovely

I forgot about Topkapi for a while, too -- and after I used it again, I fell in love all over again.
We just got back from a soccer game and now we are off to the mall (this time for my 12 year old) and then a cookie decorating party for my 6 year old :)
Hope all of you are getting some good shopping in today!

Elegant -- glad you found a way to make the BL work. It looks so pretty in the pan!
I am wondering if I should get the lip bag, or just get the berry-red gloss on it's own??

I was going to pick up my first Rouge Allure Velvet today, but I got to the counter and they had the holiday collection out... So I got sidetracked by Famous. And I bought myself a Glossimer (Meteore)... Bad Kate...
