Chanel Holiday 2011

Michelle, I don't find the scent overwhelming (and believe me, I am very sensitive to fragrance) - it's very appealing, but does not last on the skin. I've been wearing the Meteorites almost every day (the Holiday collection is gorgeous IMHO, and I love them so much I now have Beige, and Rose is on-order at Sephora's F&F event this weekend). If the scent was too much I'd have to send them back.

I love the Golden Lustres Kate - it was very hard to choose. I got 105 (brownish berry), 107 (golden rose) and 113 (really pretty mid-tone pink - probably better for spring/summer, but I couldn't leave it there

) - 'safe' colors for me, but still beautiful. They were all gorgeous!

Cheryl -- good to know that the scent isn't too overwhelming. Hmmm, I may have to splurge on the meteorites. Do you think the shimmer is fine enough that it wouldn't settle into pores? You know me and my skin LOL
Let me know if the holiday meteorites are more shimmery than the regular Rose ones. Is the Sephora F&F sale just in stores or online, too?
Which of the Rouge G's do you like? The swatches on line aren't great -- but I would love to own at least one. I kinda like the crazy heavy packaging

I don't think they're that shimmery that they would settle into pores - more like a glow. When I get the Rose ones, I'll let you know the differences, but I also think that Monsy put swatches in the Guerlain thread - she has Rose and the Holiday versions.

The F&F is online and in-stores - there was an email that went out. If you didn't get it, let me know - it lets you invite a friend. It's a single-purchase deal again so I've got a few things in my cart. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though.

I am going to adopt 2 beagles today - someone abandoned them at a nearby farm that is now town property - they've been living there for the last month, and a friend of mine found them. She and I are going to the pound to get them in a little while. I feel so bad for them. I'm excited, though, to be bringing them home!

I'm really wondering if I should backup Beige Lame. I'm so surprised at this shadow, I was going to pass it at first but I'm so glad y'all enabled me.

Been wearing it almost daily since I got it, I'm so lazy when it comes to doing my eyes and BL is an easy neutral with a kick. I've yet to fully use up/hit pan on a makeup item aside from foundation and mascara though....have any of you ever hit pan on a Chanel shadow? How long did it take you?

I want a BU too!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never even come close to using up any shadow but.....

^^Oh yeah -- I remember seeing Monsy's swatches. They all look gorgeous. You'll have to tell me which one you like more -- the Rose or the Holiday.
If you have an extra Sephora invite, that would be great. So is the single purchase for just one item or one cart full? There is also a Dior bronzer I've been wanting to get. I am queen of filing up my cart and then trying to narrow it down

Hey Michelle - it's a 'cart' purchase, not single item. I'll let you know how I like the Meteorites - my first reaction is that you should get the LE (holiday) as the Rose is perm....just a thought. I love the holiday ones.......I think the Rose ones are more 'corrective' (in fact, the SA tried to talk me out of them, as she said they were really more to correct sallowness, which isn't an issue for me.....not sure if that's true, but weird that she would talk me out of a purchase).

I'm getting the beagles tomorrow - they couldn't let them go today as the ad has to be in the paper for a week before they can release them to anyone else.....so tomorrow they're coming home with us. Yay!!!

I posted last night but it disappeared. I saw this holiday makeup set from EL which is a purchase with purchase, and it includes a pouch from Michael Kors. Have any of you seen it? The pouch is the greyson monogram metallic silver like the one from the handbag line. I'm really tempted, it is very well made and gorgeous. I have only seen the silver set at my counters though. Nude is not nude at all, it is darker, but I think it will go very well with Sparky! I haven't been using my Chanel lip liners, time to pull them out! I like the packaging of the Rouge Gs but they are so pricey and heavy, so I'm not tempted yet. I have big pores at my T-zone but good to know the meteorites shimmer won't be caught in them. I went to the counter today but it's not out yet. You're so cute, filling up your cart and narrowing it down. It's like me writing my shopping list and then choosing to buy only some of it when I'm in store. Cheryl - very exciting! Beagles are so cute! I like beagles and I love Snoopy. I put swatches of rose, holiday and beige meteorites. I would say first buy the holiday ones, they are more unique and since the other ones are perm you can always get them

I really want the Natural and Pink Treat Chanel l/l. They are so smooth. And you're right, Nude goes perfectly with Spark

Maybe I am thinking of MAC Pink Treat LOL I think Chanel used to have a liner called Pink Sugar or something?? Darn that it is discontinued. I may have to check out Pretty Pink -- I wonder if it is a light or darker pink??

Michelle - sure! I will let you know when I see the guerlain holiday meteorites. Bear in mind I passed the meteorites all these years heehee. But I've change my focus this year, wanting more focus on good skin rather than bright eye colours, so I may go for it! Alisha - we have the swarouski set too and it is actually cheaper than the MK set. And while I have to buy $50 items before I can buy the MK set, the swarouski set is available for direct purchase. So check it out if you want the set, it isn't too expensive!

You have to let us know when you get it. Which one do you want? I want the pewter set but I called the EL counters today and confirmed that my counters got the silver only. Bummer, because I like the pewter bag as well as the makeup in the set.

Cheryl - Let us know when you get the bag! I think it will be online on the US website since it is on the UK site now. The swarovski set has pretty colours too. There's no online shopping for EL and all other brands in my country. I forgot to look at Beige Lame when I was in the mall yesterday. So I'm safe from buying it for another week lol, but I keep thinking about it.
