Elegant, that sounds so pretty!! I returned my BL today - I just couldn't get it to work to my satisfaction. It was a bummer. I may end up getting it again.....I was also eyeing that LM highlighter, but may check out theBalm one instead - I just have an obsession with highlighters. I have to say my usual go-to is MAC's Play it Proper - but I'm always a sucker for the latest and greatest.....

Enivree, Empire and Famous came home with me today, along with the white cosmetic pouch - it might have been a Nordies Trend Show thing - I love Empire and Enivree....not sure about Famous though. It is a GORGEOUS color, I'm just not sure if I'm up for red lips, but I'll likely keep it, as it is just the perfect red shade.

And I FORGOT to check the nail polishes - it was getting a bit nutty from folks coming down from the trend show, so I hightailed it out of there......I also forgot to check out the YSL RPC lips too.......boo.

Ok elegant, we need one of those white pouches. How are we getting them??!! Maybe that could get me up to my far mall yet.

Elegant -- so is For Effect a charcoal color? I haven't checked out the new paint pots yet. I love shimmery greys or dark blue greys. Sounds like a pretty combo!

Cheryl -- I want that darned white Chanel makeup bag LOL! I am the same about Famous -- I love the gorgeous color and it looks amazing on everyone else! It didn't look as amazing on me, but I just love the gorgeous shimmers . . .

Gail -- if you figure out where the white bags are, let me know!!

Yes, I really really love For Effect! Its a subtle but nice depth of a blue black charcoal with subtle glimmer. Its such an elegant color on. It really works with Platine & BL big time.

Beige Lame really seemed to pop over Platine. Cheryl...that red (Famous) is so pretty, maybe try the dab & smoosh. I am thinking about a BU.

Winthrop & Michelle - I want that bag too!!! In fact I am going to go call my far away Nordies right now to see whatsup with that thing

Elegant -- now I need to go check out that Paint pot and Platine! Bummer the Chanel peeps didn't call you about the event. Sheesh, I wish any of the stores by me did a Chanel event. I miss out on all of the good stuff! I would just buy that white bag on its own LOL

I just called 2 more Nordies, one where our kids live & nope nobody has them. Most just got the black one. The Nordies where I usually go, they just always seem to be well...rude TBH. They never bothered to let me know.

The Paint Pot is really pretty - even for day.

purplerinne - I saw thebalm Mary Lou-Manizer highlighter today. The packaging is cute and not cardboard, thankfully. I didn't buy it, is it frosty on the face?

I bought Diorskin Nude sculpting powder in 20 and wore it today. It's gorgeous, gives a glow with no shimmers. I use the shiseido perfect foundation brush, which is small enough to pick up the 3 strips individually. I use the lightest shade on my cheek bones and nose and the highlighting effect is so soft and pretty. Thanks, HG! Now I know the "pearls on skin" effect! winthrop, have you tried them? Since you like highlighters with no glitters/shimmers, maybe you can buy the lightest shade, not sure if there is 10, and use it as a highlighter?

nope not frosty after you blend it in the skin. when I first found it it reminded me of JLO's glow...or aftersex glow haha

I really loved the highlighter too, but with the price tag, knowing they'll always make another highlighter in the future and owning the Guerlain's Meteorites in both pressed and pearl versions...I had to remind myself to hold back. Wallet loved me for that, and I was able to get the coco mademoiselle eau de parfum plus some other items from the collection too.

I'm not sure, I've just recently got into Chanel and have only make a few purchases. An SA's at my counter told me that Chanel does not do GWPs, but I've seen some ladies here on Specktra post GWP freebies from Chanel and just yesterday on Sat. I went to the makeup event Chanel was holding and purchased a few items and also received a little GWP plus some mini samples of stuff from Chanel. The amount could differ. from one counter to another especially in different departmant stores and around the nation.

Prettypackages, I've been pretty lucky, the counter I go to always gives me skincare samples whenever I buy something. I tend to buy more than one item, it helps that you know the SA/MA.

I find that the more I "schmooze" and spend - the more free samples that I get. I have never gotten something large like a brush, but I have gotten skincare samples & cosmetic samples.
