LOL -- yep it pretty much shows up that color on me.  Growing up, I loathed my saran wrap lip and never thought it would be such an asset   haha! Now I really need to swear off Target.  You should have seen the list my 12 year old gave me of stuff she needed (skin care and hair care stuff).  She is as bad as I am!  I stuck to my list, though (which may be a first). LOL -- thankfully we have both cars paid off!  So, extra money for Chanel!! Thanks -- I have had so much fun playing with everything!
I envy your saran wrap lips! pigmented lips can be a curse. Good about the cars and the extra money for Chanel :naughty:

LOL--I (try) to make it a point to never spend as much in one month on anything as half my car payment, EVER...my car was my "gift" to me last year, and after years of dealing with scrap heaps that would fall apart if you just looked at it funny I was DONE with dealing with used. So I bought a new one.

I adore her to death, and yes she eats into my fun (read: Chanel) budget but there's no point in having tons of pretties if I don't have a stable, reliable car to get anywhere!

To keep it Chanel-related, I wanted to get a custom plate that said AUDACE but of course it was taken. >_>

LOL whenever we get a new car, my hubs insists on putting down a huge down payment so our monthly payments are low. And then he insists on paying extra each month to get the things paid off fast. So thankfully, we don't have car payments right now! He is very good about money stuff, saving, and investing and what not -- I am more of the ahem, spender, shall we say . . . but on everything outside of makeup -- I know how to get the great deals (promise!)
heart.gif

I'm sure you're having fun with your new car! You're right -- you have to have a good reliable car to get you around!

You have a good eye Elegant - yep, PB -- we like the same things

I posted some glossimer pics for Debi in the Chanel Glosses thread -- but the glossimers are all much prettier than in the picture. If we get some good lighting outside, maybe I can try that.

It is post #111 in that thread -- the pictures are pretty craptastic -- horrible lighting and I am not good at adjusting my settings. Last night my husband asked me if I had ever read the instruction manual. Ummm, no -- maybe I should . . .

So, after much experimentation, I figured out how to wear Hyde Park in a way that doesn't look too Lil'Kim/Lady Gaga-esque on my lips. BEHOLD!

Patted on my lips, smooshed (isn't that a technique of yours, Elegant? You should patent it!
lol.gif
) and topped with a little of Sparkle D'Or. Kept the rest of my face natural so it wouldn't clash with the lippy since HP's so bright. I still can't get over how well the Poudre Universalle Libre photographs, my skin has never looked better! Excuse the 'fro, I'm still figuring out this curly hair of mine...I'm half black, half asian and until very recently my hair was dead straight. Now it's curly.
icon_eek.gif
Having some luck with DevaCurl, but I think I need their stronger hold curl gel.

In case anyone wanted to know what I'm wearing (all Chanel except the bronzer):
Perfection Lumiere - Beige Ambre 34
Poudre Universalle Libre - Dore
Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer blended w/ JCs Rose Tourbillon & Or
Le Crayon Yeux - Brun Cuivre
Inimitable Intense Mascara - Noir (you're right Elegant, there's new sample packaging and the formula's different--MUCH better)
Hyde Park Rouge Allure + Sparkle D'Or Glossimer
Ratty old sweater and Iron Maiden concert tee (have I mentioned I'm a tomboy? A girly one, but a tomboy nonetheless.

)

Looks great on you! And why haven't I heard much about Poudre Universalle? My skin doesn't photograph well because it gets shiny -- I am always trying new foundations and powders.
And I like the curly hair (mine has always bee stick straight)!

Well, off to a meeting . . . at least there will be delicious food . . . not that I need to be indulging any more this holiday season

QoS - Dang girl you look beautiful! And I say go with the curly hair its beautiful. Be confident - that lip color is your color. I would also love to see you in red lips & a smokey eye and a slight rose nude blush. I think it would be stunning. A smokey dusty blue black eye would look great with a nude lip on you too.

The dab & smoosh...can't live without it

Thanks Elegant!

Without your dab & smoosh I might've had to (*gasp!*) return Hyde Park! Now you're giving me ideas...I *have* been sorely lacking in blue shadows lately...LOL. Evil enabler!

To keep the convo on Spring 2012...has anyone worn Hyde Park with Bagatelle, or does anyone have both and would be willing to experiment wearing both to see the effect?

You people are TOTALLY cracking me up over here!

QoS you look GORGEOUS! Love the lips and the hair. Can't help you cause I don't have Bagatelle yet...in fact I haven't even ordered it yet. So much for my brain, eh?

<------------- it gets five hearts I love the color on so much.

Its like a cross between Belgravia & Charme or kind of like the ls version of Bagatelle. I may need to back this pretty up. Got my BU blush today.
I can't wait to see the new RCs and RCSs. I saw the Burberry spring online and there are 4 new lip covers. I love the lip covers, they are very moisturising without being super slippery and they are long lasting, until the RCS which dries on my lips quickly. I think Devon Sunset will come home with me. Too many lipsticks to choose from!

The new eyeshadow looks gorgeous too. I'm going to post this in the Burberry thread so the Burberry addicts can drool together.

QoS - Congrats on making HP work! Perhaps you can look at Lagons since Blue Celeste was discontinued.

Yes, he truly is - I am sooo incredibly lucky!!! All the MUA love him no matter where we shop because he's so patient & it really doesn't bother him how much I spend
love.gif
But in fairness, I do the same for the things he likes too. Prolly why we've been married 32 years
heart.gif
Maybe he should write a book for other men

Yes, I have those eyeshadows & pencil. They are lovely lovely BUT sparkley. Somehow the sparkles in these shadows don't bother me because they are so elegant & pretty. I love that clean white look too. Another option for the white, would be Platine (clean white) es which is gorgeous & buttery soft & very clean looking with a simple thin black top line.
My hubby is the same way. He actually comments on makeup now. He loves the winged eyeliner look unfortunately, my eye shape isn't suited for it very well.

I have Fantasme and Emerveille, also. I agree that the sparkles are very elegant but, they do get all over my face. I have yet to find anything like it, though and I find myself using the combo a lot.

I'm so glad that everone loves the new Spring collection as much as I do. Even though it's December and about 40 degrees here on the East Coast, I've been wearing these colors. They were too pretty to put away until Spring.

After much deliberation, I'm going to pass on the Knightsbride Collection.
nope.gif
The lipsticks are very pretty but between Joyuese and the Spring lipsticks, I have enough pink. Also, because I bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (a fantastic deal at $50) and have my eye on a few things in the Mac natural collection. I've spent way too much on cosmetics the last few months between the Chanel matte lipsticks, the holiday and Spring collections, I'm afraid to add up how much I've spent!

you got to try some A&F clothes! It is my most fave casual line. Their sweatpants and hoodies are great for lounging. The quality is impeccable and no way H&M or GAP compares to them. I also love their long sleeved shirts and tank camis to wear under.
But I have never found their cardigans useful, I feel they are not work-appropriate even with a small logo. We used to have casual Fridays when i would wear AF long sleeved tees with tiny logo on the hem, but no more of those.

jmarie - your husband is so sweet for noticing your makeup. My eye shape isn't suited for winged liner look too, so I haven't successfully draw it on myself yet. My eyes are hooded. I use TF glitter glue when I wear Fantasme. Ikram - Thanks, I will check out the sweatpants and hoodies. I wanted to get one set from Juicy Couture when the store opened here a few years back but they were pricey and I didn't want them enough to buy anything. I think A& F is more affordable. I have casual Fridays so hmm, maybe I can check out the tees. ;)

Hi all, I'm back from the Chanel shop! *pleased* I finally got to look at the Spring 2012 guide in store and it still looks amazing to me. Already shortlisted my items with the SA and hope she remembers to call me back they launch on 30! Was going to get the eyebrow palette but decided the brush was horrible and the powders didn't come on strong enough for me. But I never knew the eyebrow pencil was soooo amazing! Superb value for money since it comes with the sharpener too! Source came home with me too - I cannot wait to start layering shadow over it and see how wonderful it will turn out! I took a look at Dragon today too and agree it looks great but a little too dark on me - any suggestions for a more suitable true red lippie? The n/p in Dragon is hot though - will consider!

MissQQ - I'm based in Singapore! I don't suppose you're anywhere near me if you live in Asia? You got hooded eyes like me too? Ugh it totally sucks... I always feel I get shortchanged putting on eyeshadow because I haven't enough lid to actually fit all the pretty colours... such a waste. :( I only managed to get winged eyeliner fairly decently - watching any random young Taiwanese/Hongkong/Japanese chick on youtube actually does the trick in learning it! (and unfortunately... lots of failed practice)

jmarie - I'm glad you and elegant-one are giving me such rave reviews on Fastasme and Emerveille! Unfortunately my regular MUA wasn't in store this afternoon so I didn't manage to really look and explore those two colours. Do the sparkles fallout during application or just generally while wearing?
And you're so lucky your husband actually comments on your make up! My man is totally clueless... he prefers me sans make up... or maybe it's just an excuse to stop me from fueling my Chanel craze.
