Oh how cute! Gotta say though I would be tempted to break into it and take out the little Chanel bag to use on something else...like a keychain.

Hi all,
I'm new to Chanel make up and just got hooked after my first purchase during the 2011 Winter. I've been so excited reading about all the new stuff that you girls have gotten for the new Spring 2012! Unfortunately I'm in Asia and the launch is scheduled for 30 Dec.. can't wait! I would buy the whole collection if I could but unfortunately my pocket doesn't allow for it! I've shortlisted the blush and the Tigerlily eyeshadow, but can't make up my mind over the lippies.. suggestions?

I just ordered the Brompton blush online too, and was wondering if it looks terribly girly pink as it seems to me?

Thanks MissQQ -- you would love JCrew -- they offer a lot of classic pieces and have some great sales. Maybe someday it will make it to where you live! Yep, here Abercrombie is targeted towards high school/college age kids - but I've seen older people wearing it, too. They have an Abercrombie Kids, which has the most adorable clothes (I would wear the adorable cardigans).

Jmarie -- I about died seeing that snow globet. I want one!! That is so beautiful!

lexicallex -- As far as lip products from these collections -- I got the Bagatelle glossimer (it is a warm pink with gold sparkles and pigmented as far as glossimers go), Charme lipstick on me is a really pretty medium pink (didn't pull too warm or too cool on me), and Belgravia lipstick (a pretty pink with some rose tones in it -- it really brightens the face). But of course, they look different on everyone!
I also loved the Spring blush and will dive into the Brompton blush later today. It definitely looks like a cool pink in the pan.

Welcome! You picked 2 great items. For the lippies - I would suggest Paradis - if you like pink corals, Charme - if you like a nice wearable medium pink. No, the Brompton Blush is very wearable. I would say that its just a lovely feminine pink - very very soft & subtle.

Just got the blush, Paradis, Bagatelle, and Rose Corrail. Can't wait to use them!!

Question on Grenat, though, and maybe the quad: Does anyone think the colors may make someone look like they have red allergy eyes? I tend to kind of look like I have red-rimmed eyes with some colors. But I love the colors in this collection! Thoughts?

I love the Chanel threads. *sighs happily*
Enjoy everything! I didn't get the quad and Grenat liner (yet) -- but everyone seems to be really loving them! I wonder if you used a flesh tone pencil in the waterline if that would cut down on the redness?

Those are all so lovely together! Wait until you use Bagatelle over RC lip pencil

beautiful.

I really don't think Grenat has the ability to make anyone's eyes red. It has enough brown base in it to keep it from doing anything weird. Its a lovely color both by itself, but looks stunning as an added accent liner with another liner color.

This site is really wonky for me so I have to post separately - sorry.

Great ideas, elegant, Bonitinha and Elven. I may just try those eyeshadows yet!

I also have not yet used my stuff, but I think today may be the day!

elegant - lol Maybe Santa can buy you something else from Chanel... You hauled at JCrew! I wish we have JCrew here, their clothes look very good! Abercombie & Fitch just opened in my country, in the new mall called Knightsbridege (yet we don't get the Knightsbridge collection). Are their clothes good? They look like they are more for very young people. And Chanel beauty should hurry up with their gifts for their valued customers (or top spenders) lol!
yes.gif
I talked about that belt to him allllllllll night
lol.gif
JCrew clothes are a bit pricey, but when they mark them down & then run a sale its a great deal. They are quality classic pieces. A & F is designed more for the tweens, but I have to say that I love their Tshirts & their pants fit me better than anybody's pants anywhere. I just have to be careful that they don't say A&F on them anywhere
girlhaha.gif
The quality is amazing.
Thats kinda weird crazy that you are not getting the Kightsbridge collection :(

I agree - hurry up with the gift

maybe we'll all get that snowglobe

A TPF'r got this ornament as a gift from the cosmetic's boutique for being a frequent shopper. I really want one!!!
OMG, what a beautiful snowglobe! It would look so good next to my Karl Lagerfield snowglobe :( I wonder what I would have to spend with my local Chanel cosmetics boutique to get one?! It's only my first month shopping with them and I bought half the Winter collection - this is fast becoming an expensive hobby! Can some of you more "established" Chanel customers give me a rough gauge of the spending amount per year/month/season? My friend who's a regular Chanel shopper is lemming desperately for one too.. and we're going to Chanel tomorrow afternoon to reserve our Spring pieces!

On a separate note - does anyone here use the mirror? Am considering getting it as a X'mas gift for my girlfriends!

Bonitinha - I don't wear lipstick or lipgloss at all and this is my first real foray into that! I am really gravitating towards the Bagatelle glossimer - since you mention that it has gold specks, it definitely has a greater appeal to me now! I hope it will do well as a day to day colour.
I am really considering the RC Paradis and RCS Flirt seriously too.. and I am so so so jealous that all you girls have gotten your hands on these while I have to wait until 30 Dec!
Do let me know when you review the Brompton - am somewhat curious how it will turn out as most of my blushes are orange/peach.
The Belgravia lipstick looks like an awesome colour and I can't wait for it to be delivered!

I've not noticed many raves about the Jasmin Poudre Universelle, does anyone care to elaborate further? Because it is one of the first items that caught my item - and I couldn't help but think it is such a lovely pale golden sheen that would look fabulous over a tropical tan. I bought the Holiday 2011 Holiday Sculptee on an impulse (it was the design I swear) and I realised it turned up chalky on me, and now I'm hoping for better results from Jasmin as a finishing powder.

I know -- Some of the cardigans I have bought my daughter -- I would totally wear! The kids line has amazing quality -- cute ruffles, stripes and detail. When they are on sale and then go 1/2 off -- it is such a steal. I haven't tried the pants, I should take a look . . . I usually shop Banana or Ann Taylor or Loft for those. No surprise everything and A&F fits you so well since you have an amazing figure!

My hubs said he almost tripped over the huge Chanel delivery box I put out in the garage yesterday. He looked at everything and said "that's a car payment right there" LOL! Such a man's way of thinking. But funny thing is that he really knows it makes me happy and thinks it is fun for me.

Lexicallex ~~ I think you would really like Bagatelle glossimer -- it is great for daytime. This morning I dabbed on Belgravia and put a dab of Bagatelle on top and it looked gorgeous
heart.gif

I will keep you posted on Brompton blush -- but I already know I will adore it! It is so gorgeous in the pan, I almost don't want to disturb the gorgeous pattern. But I will be using it today for sure.

I laughed so hard when I read this. It came with a funny visual in my head
th_roll1.gif

I want one so bad.
Same here! I had this funny visual too of the bag with a keychain. The jeans at my A&F are all skinny or super skinny at the moment. I don't like tight clothings so I will wait and see if they have more designs later on. Yes I felt the material of their clothes and they feel so soft and of good quality. I think your Santa may hunt down the belt in your size for you and you can talk to him about it tonight again.
winks.gif

lexicallex - I should be getting the collection about then or a week later. Let's wait together!

Michelle - Wonder if it's weird for me to wear a sweater with A&F printed in front. I feel almost too old for that.. lol. I'm not sure about Grenat too, I have to see it in person. It looks beautiful in the swatches. I have Ebloui which I can wear without looking red eye, so I don't know if I need Grenat. But the automatic eyeliner is so convenient, what a dilemma!

The mirror is a gorgeous Chanel item. I couldn't imagine anyone not loving to get that as a gift. Its elegant & very thin.

Jasmin doesn't really have color - if anything a pale neutral almost translucent beige. Its like a soft focus finishing powder with soft fine shimmer. I didn't think it was chalky. It does have quite a bit of shimmer.

We are all so envious of your keychain!!
A lot of the A&F sweaters (cardigans especially) will only have the moose logo on the bottom of the sweater. My 12 year old has a ton of cardis from the kids line there and they only have the little logo on the bottom. Most of them are exact replicas of the "regular" A&F line.
We are supposedly getting an H&M store here. Haven't been to one of those. Also wondering if they have cute stuff??

That might only be bad if you wear them with those Ugg boots that all the tweens wear, I swear that was the teenager uniform at the mall Sunday ;) The more I wash their T's the better they get & last forever they are made so well. Santa told me to go look at Tiffanys
girlhaha.gif

LOL - checking to be sure your keychain is safe. We love that keychain - I would check too

I ordered most of the Knightsbridge collection including the glossimer, and it will be here tomorrow. I am not interested in any of the upcoming MAC collections, and I justified my purchase with this rationale.

I happened to walk by the Chanel counter at Nordstroms again
whistle.gif
, and I purchased source & jasmin. I really wasn't a fan of Jasmin when I tried it before. A different MUA said "Oh you have to try this" and applied it. What can I say? She talked me into it. Hopefully I can get the same look at home. I bought source to layer under powder shadows. Apparently Chanel is discontinuing the liquid formula and planning on producing more colors in the Armani ETK-like shadows. At least according to the MUA who helped me.

Bonitinha - I cannot wait to see Brompton, the surface looks so pretty that I don't know if I can bear to use it after it arrives.. and it's going to be special because I've never ordered from Chanel.com before and I cannot wait to see how they are packed.. though they will have to transit to a freight forwarder since Chanel.com does not deliver to Asia. -sigh- you girls are so lucky! Unfortunately I don't think I would be ordering from Chanel.com again unless it's an exclusive as it seems to be much cheaper to buy directly from boutiques in Asia if you factor in the shipping costs and the currency exchange.
And I think it's really sweet that your hubby is so understanding for your love for Chanel. My man hasn't quite gotten over the haul I did with the Holiday 2011 collection and already he's going bonkers as I trawl through the Spring collection. I sense a long road ahead trying to reconcile him and the world of Chanel.

Miss QQ - Definitely looking forward to unwrapping these babies with someone who hasn't got it yet :) Can't wait to ooh and ahh with you!

elegant-one -
Are you getting a Chanel belt for X'mas? Lucky babe! I think I've maxed out all my Chanel requests for X'mas so far!
I am still hopeful for Jasmin then - argh, itching for end of the month to arrive! I noticed in an earlier post you had a look at Source liquid shadow? What do you think about it? I keep thinking it would be really suitable for re-creating the Spring Chanel runway look....

P.S The Valentine’s 2012 Womens Chanel collection is really gorgeous! I am drooling at those beautiful shimmery pinks that are going to do so well matched with all this new makeup (that I will be getting?)!!

Bonitinha - you will love H&M I think? Or at least, I did when they opened here just this year. I don't know about cute stuff but their collabrations are always something to look forward to. The last one we had was with Versace.. and the upcoming one looks really promising with Marni!
