Oh, they play us like so many violins!
I got so derangedly paranoid that the Daphne Guiness pigments were going to sell out immediately that a few days before Christmas I began stalking the site, doing searches for "Nebula" and "Aurora," and fired off an order for both of them the second they showed up. Tried that for Iris Apfel, too, but it didn't work.

You made me want Flamingo, and is selling so fast. I still have a chance when it`s coming to Romania, but I don`t know when that will be I guess the same time with other countries, so if you know any dates among Europe please share. Here 1 lipstick is around 25$ that`s not really the trouble but the traffic to cross Bucharest ( somewhere 3-4 hours there and back), there`s only one mac store in romania, almost kills all the fun

In my experience, piggies never sell out super fast as people usually do not back them up. However, lippies and blushes usually go uber fast.
Buying MAC is a little bit like being a broker on the stock market: you need to develop a sixth sense of what will sell fast and buy it in the right moment. Alternatively - and probably the better option - try to build a good relation with your local store which will then reserve items for you. This is certainly not an option for everybody, but showing your face often at your local store - and buy most of the items there and not just go there to swatch - will give you a definite advantage as your favorite MUA will pull your products aside.

pink pigeon is def bright and a shocker, but candy yum yum is brighter... CYY was def unique! both will steal a show if you wear them! sorry i don't have show orchid. i'm glad i have pink pigeon when i want super bright, but not a neon glow.

Here it was released the 14th of January. Maybe you could call the store? I called mine like uhm 5 times haha. But it was only because they were unsure, really
and it's a small country so traveling is manageable.

Wearing Party Parrot... new favorite color... I even went back and got 2 backups. Also purchased Flamingo. Both Party Parrot and Flamingo are the most unique colors. Flamingo is very versatile because since it is lustre finish, it will combine with the natural color of your lips and leave you with a shade that is unique to you. Party Parrot may look pinker or more corral-y depending on the skin tone and lighting and also what you pair it with.
Dupe of Pink Pigeon is OCC Lip Tar in Anime. I will put up swatch pics on the swatch thread for this collection.
Scarlet Ibis is the exact shade of Lady Danger. I swatched both next to each other and there was no discernable difference. I have put myself on an eyeshadow ban for now so I don't have swatches of the shadows.
This is me wearing Party Parrot the other day. I pair it with Penny from WnW on the outer portion of the eye and the golden color from the UD Naked over Rubenesque PP. This was to bring out the coral tones of the lipstick (more noticeable in person that is was a coral). I hope that this helps.

Pigments are one of the items that I'm most likely to back up!
Fortunately, though, as you observed, pigments generally sell at a pace that allows me to get one jar, try it out, and, if it's a shade I never want to be without, go back for more.
When it comes to lipsticks, though, if it's one that I at all think I'm going to love, I order two at a time.
I did that for Port Red, Queen's Sin, Hollywood Nights, Rocking Chick. The only one of which I wanted more but couldn't get it, was Fun 'n' Sexy. Even my "phone MAC Customer service immediately" tactic didn't work for that one!

I cannot order from the MAC site, they always cancel my order due to "technical difficulties"

Not surprised to be honest. But what I find annoying is that calling them does not help in the least. They do not seem to have someone that can check what is going on and all they tell me is to try again - only to have my order cancelled again. For some reason I cannot pay, whatever I use :dunno: Their loss.That sucks

thanks for the drugstore dupes, I was browsing around nordstroms last night and so many lines have soft pink colors, or bright bold neons that I think I'll be ok missing out. (yes I will stalk the site tomorrow ;-))
