to you lovely gals for those kind comments.

I was given samples of the new Le Blanc line this weekend at my far away Chanel counter. Just the cream & the serum, but I haven't tried them yet.

Elegant you DEFINITELY look quite young. Whatever your secret is, I want it!

I also got samples of the new Le Blanc skincare stuff (serum/cleanser/cream), along with the Sublimage serum. Stupid Sublimage stuff, why do you have to be prohibitively expensive and yet make my skin so awesome? >_<

Too soon to tell about the Le Blanc stuff, but I've been leery of anything whitening since I don't want to look Michael Jackson-esque. I have some acne scarring and uneven tones, so it'd be nice to get some sort of brightening effect. I'm thankful for the Le Blanc stuff having a much more toned-down scent, which I'm not surprised about since it's mostly marketed in Asia, right? The cleanser is nice but a bit drying, but not as much as the Mousse Confort cleanser. I can't bring myself to shell out more than $10 for something that's on my face for such a short amount of time though. The serum and cream sink in fast and feel nice, but again it's too soon to see if they're effective. No breakouts luckily though.

Well, Elegant -- you are definitely the new face for the 50's. Holy smokes -- Way to set the bar high!

I agree about the Sublimage samples -- I love them and wish I could buy the whole line! Keep us posted about the Sublimage samples. I have a lot of redness that I wish would go away.

^This is what I do. The ladies at my counter know I prefer to buy from them, and do so often. But if I get a GC somewhere else, or if Chanel.com's having a free shipping deal, my money's going elsewhere. They don't need to know if I'm cheating on them.

On another note, finally got Grenat in my hands and I LURV it. With a light application it makes an interesting neutral with a kick. I'm glad it pulls more burgundy than purple, I'm loving pairing it with my brown neutral shadows.
I know at least 2 different SA at the 2 counters locally and I make an effort to remember their names or newcomers. I find I get better service and they're very generous with samples.. which enhances my shopping experience// and unfortunately makes me spend more!

You look soooo youthful and certainly not 52! Your figure is sooooo trim and your skin is to die for!!! I would love to look like you when I get to your age,,,, *mad jealous*

I've been desperately scamming Sublimage samples off my counter ... all the SAs don't feel it's appropriate for my skin but I think it works miracles! I have insanely dry skin that cracks under our high humidity tropical weather and only that range actually soothes it out enough for me to apply powder without all the lines...

Flirt is sold out at our counters ahhhh! Have just put my name on the backup list... boohoo...

How is the Le Blanc range? Any feelings about those samples? I've not gotten any yet

^^ Is another batch of Flirt coming? I got mine after the first batch was sold out. Have you checked out Burberry Spring? Devon Sunset looks close to it, although the finish is different.

I got the email from US Chanel introducing Le Blanc so I thought of you ladies in the US getting it. I have last year's, not sure if the formula has changed, the pre-lotion and cream. I used them for a couple of months and my skin tone is more even and brighter, I can get away with very little foundation now and I have no breakouts. However, my pores got larger so I stopped using them and am using EL pore minimising toner and serum. I'm thinking I'll rotate back to Le Blanc soon. The Sublimage stuff is good, I got a set of samples including eye cream, serum and cream. The cream keeps my skin moisturised for more than 12 hrs, until I cleanse my face. It feels a bit greasy but it is not sticky or heavy.

^^I know, such a bummer they aren't doing those adorable snow globes here! I wish they would do that as a GWP at holiday time or something. I am as obsessed with the snowglobe as I was about getting the white bag!!

It's disappointing to know Chanel is not giving any snow globes or appreciation gifts to you ladies. I love the snow globe, it's very pretty. But for a few years my Chanel counters do not give out any pouches with large amount of purchases anymore. I got quite a few of them in 2008 and 2009.

Elegant--You do look great and I agree about staying out of the sun. Although I did have my sun worshipping days in the 70's and a bit in the 80's. Thank goodness for good genes or my skin would be in horrible condition. And yes to giant sunglasses. I get the ones that have a large part on the sides to protect the "crows feet" area.

When I was at my derm's office a few months ago I was telling her how I am deathly afraid of sun/age spots. My sister is 8 years older than me and I saw a couple on her hands a few years back. I told my doc how I slather sunscreen on the tops of my hands and carry a small tube in my bag as well as keep some in my car. She said that one of these days she's probably going to wreck her car because she's always moving her hands in different areas of the wheel out of the sun. I said "really, you do that too? I thought I was the only one driving around with my hands constantly moving and looking crazy"

I tried one of my Mat Lum. foundation samples today. I tried the lightest one, porcelian and there's no way I could wear anything darker. It's a good match and wore well. I wish it had a bit more coverage although I'm sure it's buildable. I didn't want to use too much because I want to see how it works on me for a few days so I can decide if I want to purchase it. It's very smooth and blends very well. It doesn't feel heavy at all. I hate when foundation feels like a mask. I used prep & prime powder with it. If any of you think another powder would work better with it let me know.

I don't think its like super. super is way more pigmented/brighter, at least on me.

I couldn't help myself.. I put my name on the waitlist.... AND I asked a friend to carry it in from HK - she's coming next month! :) I like the look of the Burberry colours I see online but I have no idea where the Burberry counter is... do tell me? I do wish we had Armani's makeup though... I'm madly in love with the eyeshadows.. sigh

My friend was telling me that the Le Blanc prelotion is really brilliant but ya, like QueenOfSnark, I'm a little fearful of the MJ effect. I gravitate towards the sun worshipper type when I was younger and get insanely annoyed when the makeup counters keep telling you should try our etc product, it will make you fairer... I mean yes I know the sun damage is terrible (lines lines lines) but... why equal fair with prettier... :(

Which is your favourite item in the Sublimage range?? I have to say I find the masque really the last word in masks... and especially good before a special evening for example. I usually slather it on and most of the redness on my skin would subside and skin feels really nice and moisturized after that. Another friend told me that the SKII mask also rocks but not the other products.

Oh my word -- as a teenager I was a total sunworshipper -- aaaah. I always wear sunscreen and if I am out in the sun or by the pool I wear a cute hat to hid the rays and tons of sunblock. Hmmm, maybe I need to try out some products like in the Le Blanc skincare.

I hope the cosmetics portion of Le Blanc comes here!

Out of what I've tried, I really like the eye cream and serum. I don't particularly have any wrinkles, so I can't comment on those effects, but the Sublimage items seems to brighten and "blur" my skin tone. I'll be squeezing every last bit out of my sample tubes, but I'm not sure I'm at a point in my life yet (will I ever?) where I'd be willing to shell out over $200 for skincare. The texture universalle cream was much too heavy for my skin but felt nice with a very thin layer, and the lotion was much too drying.

As for the Le Blanc items, I've been using the samples I got (cleanser, serum, moisturizer) consistently for a little over a week now, using the cleanser both AM and PM and the serum/moisturizer in the AM with Sublimage at night. My skin certainly looks brighter and dare I say a smidge lighter, with some fading of my acne scars, but I find the products drying on my oily & dehydrated skin. I get much oilier much earlier. I've also gotten some nasty pimples on my forehead and cheeks, so I think these are a pass. Maybe Le Blanc doesn't play nice with Sublimage? I never got any breakouts with Sublimage, so if I had to pick something in Chanel's skincare line, Sublimage would be it.
