I often dab more intense blushes (like Rhubarb or Fever) in the hollows of my cheeks and then blend them out a bit. It gives me a nice, but not overdone, hit of colour and it also really brings out my cheekbones.i picked up magenta blush today!
not really sure how i'm going to wear it...the sales assistant applied it on me in the store, but i feel like it was a bit too all over the place for me, though the colour is good. i think i might try it just under the cheekbones or something?
i basically redid my makeup a little when i got home and did something like what i think you're describing....and i like the effect a lot. i find the lighter shades seem to work better for me on the apples, but definitely anything deeper makes me look like i just came back from a jog through a blizzard if i wear it on the apples!I often dab more intense blushes (like Rhubarb or Fever) in the hollows of my cheeks and then blend them out a bit. I asked the MA here in Australia and she checked the book and said "yes it will be permanent"...the sales assistant at the pro store here said that it was going to be permanent now...i guess she could be mistaken?
I feel the same. I will probably just pick up some glosses as I love the creamsheen formula. I will get my purple fix from the extra dimension shadows!seeing as i was pretty excited about this collection, swatches have left me feeling a bit meh about it. all i want is reel sexy lipstick. i might end up with a couple of other bits but right now i'm not being grabbed. any recs for me for things that are awesome?!
Thanks! Definitely getting Heroine. The sheen in Violetta on my lips gives me this duo chrome/pearlish finish and sometimes I don't want that. Violetta looks a little pinker in the swatch, I see that when I wear Violetta as well. There is a subtle difference that really matters to me when dealing with purples.

Maybe you could tell me what that pencil was called? Because I'm desperately on the hunt for a dupe for Rose Platine and would be exceedingly happy if those two were similar!I'm undecided on whether to skip this collection. I'm debating Heirloom eye pencil and Watch Me Simmer. When I saw it WMS at the Shop Cook event, it looked gorgeous on everyone wearing it but I thought it would look too bright for me. Last week, I went to the Pro store and the MA had this beautiful lip color on. I rarely ask the MAs what they are wearing. I don't know why but I had to know. The first thing out of her mouth was "its soldout!" but she told me it was Watch Me Simmer. I didn't even recognize the color, it looked more red on her. Whereas, during the shop cook event, it looked really coral on the MAs. I guess it really looks different depending on the skintone. I still think it looks bright but I'm wondering if Elegant's dab and smush method might work for me and I do like brighter colors for summer so maybe . . .
Heirloom - I just tried it on the bottom lash line and liked it but I didn't try it on the upper lash line. Some reviews said it was hard to work with. But I wonder if it is too similar to a Chanel pencil I bought a while ago yet rarely use.
