Thanks! I don't know what the event will be exactly, but i guess a makeover since you can make appointments for 4 days. I will try to post swatches as soon as i can after the event. I just realised that the event is in amsterdam and that i might have a change to go to inglot as well yeah!

I would love to hear how it goes (at the MAC event and the Inglot trip as well!) I am betting you get excited and can tell us the have to haves from this collection.

I hope i can give you swatches and my opinion before it releases where you are. I will try to remember to take my camera to the event. Maybe they will allow me to take pictures. I've been to inglot before and got a palette with 5 colours. They now have an online shop, but for some stupid reason you pay more online. For example 80 euro for a palette with 10 shadows that in store costs 65 euro! So i'm thinking of getting a palette with 10 colours when i go to amsterdam again. Only problem is that i want to spend a lot on Hey, Sailor! as well...

To me, kelly green and grass green are two different things. I think this will be one I will have to swatch in person before I can decide. Wait, the called this emerald green, right? I'm confused now. It's not emerald green to me either. Ack!!

On my screen, it looks exactly like a Kelly Green, a soft green-yellow grass-y green. It will look gorgeous on lighter eye colors to add some neutral color, but in a more colorful way rather than Chartreuse-ish.

Yes, true, but I got so excited about the swatches, it was an anti-climax to find out she'd swatched 3 perms/repromotes.

Those are the repromotes and perm products, but some swatches are better than none, right? I don't think I have a Crystal Avalanche, looks like a killer brow/tear duct color and special packaging is a good reason to snag it, right?

I am considering getting a bronzer from this collection but am wondering if I really need one. I've never used one before and am not exactly sure what the "purpose" of it is.

I am NW 20 and do not tan my face or body AT ALL.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I like to use bronzers to warm up my NW15-20 complexion. It is not about simulating a fake bake, but rather just adding a warm glow to the skin.

Maybe you can get a make over and ask for a look with a bronzer? This will help you to see if you actually like the look before you commit to a purchase.

Go for a red-based bronzer rather than a yellow one to avoid a fake bake look.

I think I might just get one of the blushes from this collection. Nothing else really stands out for me and I'm not too crazy about the packaging.

This and Beth Ditto are going to be really small hauls for me. Im only getting a lipstick and a lip pencil from Hey Sailor and 2 lip pencils from BD. I love the packaging but I feel like I have dupes for everything. I guess that's what happens when you've been collecting for 7 years. I don't mind cause I'm sure I'll be spending a lot on HC.

I think ill get the eye shadows, I am not sure I love the sailor theme but just not crazy about the colours. I will try to get the tote or the cosmetic bag, surly that won't be back...will be a rare thingy. Now the makeup part is dupe-able I think or will be a repromte at one point maybe.

Thanks Mac-Guy. I do have reddness in my cheeks, should I still go for a red-based bronzer?

Yes. You can cancel out/color-correct the redness with some yellow-based (not orange!) set powder before you apply the bronzer.
