Chanel lipsticks - Rouge Coco, Rouge Allure, etc.

Hi,

Magnolia is soft, many Rouges Coco are very soft in fact. If you really want something nude or even more softer, you can buy a Coco Shine or a Rouge Automatique Shine from Guerlain. " Jardins de Bagatelle " is very subtle. Compared to other Shine I have ( Chanel, Dior, MUFE ), the Rouge Automatique remains a lipstick, it's really nice for the spring season. Of course if you want a true lipstick with a better coverage, I would advise you the Rouge Coco. Magnolia or Charme are very soft.

^^ I agree -- Magnolia is a soft fresh pink that is very wearable. It is a favorite around here! I also love Charme. It is a bit warmer, but also gorgeous! Looks fabulous with the Horizon soft glow blush.

To stop my endless googling and deciding, I bought Magnolia. Hope it's worth it. I think it's pretty, just I couldn't decide if the price if worth-buying for the color since I don't wear lipstick everyday. :)

Saw the new RCS and RC. They are all different from the old colours. I didn't buy anything and there were no badges with any purchases at my usual counter as it was not launched as planned. Instead, I saw these at the studio.

RC Cult, Avant-Garde

RCS Style, Sourire, Effrontee

Left column from top: Royallieu, Candeur
Middle: Effrontee, Style, Sourire
Right:Destinee, Cult, Avant-Garde, Superstition

Hi everyone! Does anyone know when these RC and RCS are coming to the US? I have never seen them go up on the Chanel site and when I asked my SA, she had no idea what I was talking about and kept trying to convince me I was thinking of the Summer collection!

Ladies, I need opinions. I seriously need to limit my buying right now, so which should I get:

I want Magnolia (if they still have it), but out of these three, which are the two that I NEED?

Magnolia (RC)
Romance (RCS)
Boy (RCS)

Are you in the US? Magnolia is going to be repromoted later this summer, or that's my understanding anyway. On my pigmented lips Boy is kinda nothingness. So I guess (without knowing your coloring) I would say Magnolia and Romance.

I am in the US, and I remember typing my coloring, but I guess I never edited the post! 22 Beige Rose in Vitalumiere Aqua, I believe and dyed red hair w/ highlights.

I agree with Winthrop! Boy is really a MLBB shade, whereas Romance is a nice bright rose pink, but not too bright. Magnolia is a great everyday pink if you want better lasting power than RCS.

I picked up Magnolia and Avant Garde today - I'm not sure if they are widely availble yet. The new RCS were pretty but I'm not buying that formula any more. They look great for the first hour and after that the shine is gone and the color is gone soon after. It's a lot of money to pay for what essentially is a lip balm. I have the Fresh Sugar lip balms in a few colors - they are $10 cheaper and last a lot longer than Chanel.

And yes, before anyone asks I've tried a million things to get the RCS to last longer..worn it over lipliner, other lipstick, primer. The formula just doesn't last at all.

LOl I agree about the RCS's....they are too sheer and don't last on me either.

I LOVE Avante Garde......such a gorgoeus shade!!!

^^ I have swatched it and it is sheer brown, maybe beige, with a hint of rose. I'm not very good at describing colours.

RSC don't last on me too, but they stain my lips. Do you not get the stain when the shine is gone? I am not buying any more RCS for now, I already have 4 and I like Chance and Sari d'eau most. I'm going to stay strong not to buy any new chanel lipsticks for a while, until maybe when the new formulated RAs launch and I'll see how I feel about them.

Speaking of RAs, my Ardent's mechanism is slightly faulty now. I have to use a lot of pressure and press the tube multiple times to get the tube to spring out. As it's my first RA, I don't deny that I have pressed it numerous times when I just bought it just to play with it lol.

I just went to Chanel.com and 'La Distingue' (spelling?) matte lipstick is now available. When the Rouge Allure Velvets were first released but La Distinguee and La Furtive were Asia exclusives - I think that goes to show you, everything ends up on the Chanel site or available in stores at some point. Having said that, it is a nice pink-peach shade for Spring.
