....LA LA LA LA......skipping off to MAC now to pick up my 2nd Star Wonder and my 5th (YES FIFTH!) Venus! My MA friend thinks I've lost the plot with the Venus Back ups...... She might be right. But Venus is such a great color that I can give them as gifts if I realize later that five was a little excessive.

Oh no! What happened? I am so afraid of this. Doesn't help I'm a worry wart. MAC should make them more durable if at all possible.

I was getting rady to go to school came out the bathroom it slips out my hand and bounces on the floor not once but twice I was so mad. Yes Mac should the mineralized products more durable have to be real careful with them.

That's not crazy at all! That's how I felt with the cremesheen glasses except Meteoric lol. MSFs for this collection are dangerous for sure!  I love finishing products! I mostly just finish my skincare products for right now, except for lipglasses and the like, but it's always like WHEW! I did it!  I still wish I got my hands on Fresh Salmon! That color is to die for, especially with the gold sparkles! I've been looking for a dupe ever since, but no dice. I'm glad Ruffian Gold popped up, though, because I feel like I can make a similar shade to Fresh Salmon with it (maybe). Rose Maiden is a gorgeous shade that works for every-day or night's out for me. Usually I'm not a frosty lipstick person, but there's something about Rose Maiden that makes me melt!   I'm 26 and I don't think there is anything to worry about! Age doesn't mean you're expired and can't wear whatever makeup you want to wear! For me, I think glitter is borderline okay, I mean I'm not gonna wear glittery shadows and cheeks like I did when I was 14 or 15, (ahhh glittersticks, how I loved them!), but shimmer is a-ok! Everything in moderation should be just fine. I even wear flourescent colors from time-to-time just for the hell of it. Obviously it's not an every day thing, nor is it a special occasion thing, but more of a "when the mood strikes". Just flaunt it!  Ohhh nooo!!!!! That's so sad I am very sorry for your loss!

Oh, no! Did it arrive shattered or was it dropped? Do you know how to rescue it? I'm sorry. Enjoy Meteoric! I love finishing (also buying) products, too! LOL I just wish Cleanse Off Oil would last a little longer with me. Still, finishing them is fun. I'm waiting for MAC to re-promote Fresh Salmon. I've never seen any MAC lipstick quite like it. It's one of my fav lipsticks. You should have it! I'm glad you finally saw the collection in person! Enjoy your MSFs and Meteoric! I giggled @ four times. Enjoy it, girls!

I dropped it slipped right out my hands smh, I brought another one because I don't know how to fix it. This is my final hoc purchase, if something else breaks oh well lol.

Ladies, Light Year is my fav from this collection, too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

LY had become very 'useful' in ways I didn't expect, like changing an eyeshadow. I wasn't using my Nars Nepal enough because it didn't look like anything on. Maybe cause it's so close to my skin tone. But swipe LY over it a lalalala birds are singing.

I feel quite proud of myself for having not given into this collections beauty. I only picked up Venus and Fire Sign.

I have however been rather naughty and been buying a LOT from the sales thread. I want almost all the permanent eye shadows so I've been going through them all buying what I want. However due to them being from sales threads it's still cheaper than buying from MAC itself. Yay!

I have my best friend who loves just as much as well do, but other than that nobody understands

They all poke fun at me... Make up is more than just powder, liquid and shimmer.

I hear u, I have one friend who likes it just not as much as I do so I need people who understand that makeup isn't just power, liquid, and shimmer like u guys do

You are a bunch of thrill seeking enablers. You should be ashame of yourselves. I LOVE YOU ALL. HONESTLY, I DO! I got all four MSFs & blushes, E/S in Aurora & Earthly, L/S in Cut A Caper, Cusp of Dawn & Pleasure Seeker, and two Volcanic Ash Exfoliators. I also got a backup for Earthshine. I thought I was finished hauling this collection, but then I started reading your posts last night and I ordered Venus & Meteoric. Did I need these...nooooo. Did I want them after you convinced me how lovely they were....yessssssss! To add insult to injury, I hauled the MAC Illustrated collection from Nordstrom. I got the Triple Feature Lip Bag in Red, both brush sets and the smokey eye kit in black. That also come with two brushes. I'm done! I will spend the remainder of the weekend looking or a twelve-step program! . OYE!

Well, I finally caved after reading all of your glowng reviews and got LY.

I also did a look with Water, using all of its shades seperately: the seafoam green on the lid, the dark blue in the crease and the yellow in the inner corner. My bf commented it was a 'canary look', but I personally thought it looked mermaid-y - love the shimmer of it when the light hits it!

I've been really getting into makeup for the last 1.5 years and have accumulated a ton of makeup. I love shimmery products...but lately I have started to worry that I may be getting too old to use it ...does anyone else have the same worries? I'm 27 and I think...ok..how long do I have left to enjoy my shimmery highlighters and MES before I can't and should start using mattes? Am I over-worrying?

You're only 27 dear - enjoy everything!

I caved and bought some backups. Venus, Meteoric, Light Year, Earthshine, Magnetic Attraction, Water. This time I got a Water with much more Seafoam Green. The only sold out stickers I saw were Ring of Saturn and I think Solar Ray. I think Ring of Saturn might be my favorite from the collection. I think I'm hesitant to back it up because it does remind me of some other stuff in my collection not exactly the same though which causes me to believe we will see it in some other form or another again. Or is that wishful thinking.?? I'm still thinking about going back for another Star Wonder. I like it better than the purple Tres Cheek blush. When the SA went in the drawer, I noticed there was quite a bit of product left. I was really surprised. I would have thought most would have been sold out. I commented to the SA and he said "it's because it just launched." I figure he hasn't been around long. I know! When I went for a quick look to think about a backup for light year yesterday (ended up not getting it because I didn't like the swirls they had) every single powder product was still in stock. I was kind of surprised since in my opinion, these are the most unique MSFs MAC has ever had. Even had 5 or 6 supernovas. But I think it's because there wasn't a lot of hype for this collection. Usually really popular beauty bloggers like temptalia, xsparkage, makeupandbeautyblog etc. Post all these swatch pictures before the collection launches in anticipation of the launch. This time, temptalia had to order the products and didn't have reviews until after it launched online.

And I think it's also because MAC has churned out so many collections this year, and I see lots of videos and blog posts about the insane amount and how people some people are *tired* of it. So there wasn't enough anticipation built between collections as well.

AANNNDD. also. it seems like a lot of people are feeling the recession here in the US, and there's a trend in nobuys, project pans or "purging" stashes this year.
