Ooh sounds pretty. How did you place these 3 colors on the cheek?
I used Earthshine all over but really focused it as a highlighter, Stratus as the blush on the cheekbone and Love Rush over it. Love Rush mattes down some of the gleam from the mb. So lovely! Don't forget to contour. Contour really makes the cheekbone pop!

Salsarose if you like corals and Burnt Pepper is gorgeous for the Fall, especially as it is a matte finish. Those are super pigmented, so they will last you forever. :)
Thanks, I have been thinking about Salsarose before, but Burnt Pepper never really crossed my mind.

Burnt Pepper sounds really pretty. One of these days I'll take a trip to NYC to visit the Pro Store.

It fits very well into the earth color/orange/brown theme of Fall 2012. You can certainly pull it off, especially if you pair if with a strong lip and a neutral eye.

I got my BUs of Venus and Cut a Caper from a counter last week, and made another trip to the MAC store this weekend. Got BUs of Celestial Kiss, Astral, and Galaxy Rose. Picked up Strictly Plutonic, Universal Appeal and a 234 brush. I wanted a BU of Earthshine, but they were sold out. I almost forgot to ask for a sample of the VAE, but they were out of containers for the sample. Then I went to a counter in Nordstrom and got the 128 brush and a YSL lipstick. I almost forgot to ask for the VAE sample again, but remembered as I was leaving and was able to get it. I did, however, forget to look for a BU Earthshine, so I guess I'm still not done.

I also made a trip to the CCO in Potomac Mills Mall. It was my first ever trip to a CCO, and I was disappointed! I guess I pictured a Willy Wonka makeup Shangri-La in my head. Instead, it was a small store and the MAC section wasn't very big. The SAs were nice, though. I saw the 189 brush, but opted not to get it. I also saw Venomous Villains lipglasses and eye shadows. I can't believe I didn't grab anything. I guess I was too distraught, lol.

So Pretty! I can never get tired of the swirls! Love your Universal Appeal. You got one with a nice blob of purple to pick from. Loving that purple color. Hmmm. . . now I'm curious about Over Indulgence. Cartoon Chic (I think) said it was just like Strictly Plutonic. Is Over Indulgence a permanent color?

Edit - I love your counter/desktop? Cute.
Over Indulgence is permanent, and is one of my faves. It's not just like Strictly Plutonic, but it's close. Strictly Plutonic is brighter. I grabbed it this weekend, so I'll be able to take comparison pictures. It's sunny today, so I should have enough light to finish all of my swatches.

I'm thinking one of the deeper reddish brownish shades from the fall trend lip pallete with look nice with it.

Just so UK girls know - I've called UK MAC Pro.

They DO have Indian Ink. I just ordered that along with Bottle Green and a 15 palette (my first) so that I didn't risk missing out, lmao.

I'm debating whether or not to go get the rest of my planned backups today. I've never done so many BUs in a collection before. In fact, I was looking through my backup drawer today and most of my BUs were accidents. Either I bought something twice and didn't realize it or I ordered something highly anticipated and got nervous that I'd never get it and ended up going to the store to get it. These were the days when Mac didn't put stuff up online early enough that you got it before launch day.

Sorry about your CCO experience. The one that is closest to me rarely has anything good. But I went to Connecticut twice. The first time they had an okay selection. The second time, I went after perusing the CCO thread and it was just like you imagined. Almost wall to wall MSFs and pigments. It was right after they had discontinued the large size pigments. They had about 2-3 shelves filled with pigments and the MSFs were not to be believed. I went crazy!

I spent so much time in that store. The hardest part was trying to figure out what to leave. The good part was I knew they had a lot of stuff after reading the the CCO thread and I came prepared. I haven't had another experience like it.

I've actually been trying to control my BU purchases. I've made the mistake in the past of getting BUs of things I thought I would love, but I was still learning my tastes. Now I've made it a rule to buy only one item first, and then back it up only if I absolutely love it. The exception is when I already know for certain I'm going to love the color, like with Heroine lipstick from Reel Sexy and the upcoming lipsticks from By Request.

Hmm, I have to check out the CCO thread then.

Thanks so much!:bouquet: I thought Vellum, Aqua and Sky Blue were dicontinued and same for Burnt Pepper. Taupe is listed as a refill on the regular site here, but not as a pot. I think I'm going to call mac pro amsterdam today to ask about Apple Red and Flame Red. I might make a trip to amsterdam this weekend to get some pro goodies!
The whole list I provided are all in pan form. Not in pots. As Mac-Guy said, pro eyeshadows & blushes only come in the pans for use in the palettes. Mac-Guy... I can't find Apple Red on the Pro site unless I search the name. Then it takes me to the pro pans list. But when I go straight to the pro pans it isn't there. Very weird. Maybe since it's just been recently brought back it hasnt been processed on the site correctly. Hmmm?

I know they are only available in pan form. It makes sense because they are pro shades and professionals won't have a lot of use for the pots. But because Taupe was available on the regular site I wasn't sure anymore if it was a pro shade. It only being available in pan form made me think it was.

So I've been waiting on my Magnetic Attraction to come for longer than shipping usually takes from nordies. I was getting a bit impatient, and about to demand a reshipment if it didn't arrive this week. Well, this morning, it was delivered. AND MORE.

TWO!!!!! I called and they said I could keep both
th_happy1.gif

To be honest, I'm quite glad I got two. I was really hoping for one with tons of red (the berry color is so gorgeous), and if I had only gotten the right one I would've been very tempted to return for a red one.

The swirls on them are a bit wonky though. lol.

I understand. Based on your first response, I thought you might have thought the list I provided was in pots as well as pans since you said taupe was only available on your site as a pan. Just wanted to clarify for you. I definitely wish some of the pro colors came in pots! Sometimes I want to travel w 1 or 2 but not a whole palette! I think they should make duo blush palettes like they make duo eyeshadow palettes! I definitely see myself using 2 blushes but 2 eyeshadows would rarely be enough for a look by themselves....

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I hope I didn't come off harsh, I appreciate that you wanted to help:)
I actually would like a two pan blush palette as well! I have a lot of blushes in pots, because I don't depot them, but the permanent ones I buy in pan form. It would be nice if I could take the perm ones with me without having to take a big blush palette.

The more I try the volcanic ash exfoliator, the more I like it. I might need to get a backup. Anyone try the eye cream? Thoughts?

i feel terrible, but i'm sending back my earthshine and cut a caper.

i tried both on today to make absolutely sure, but earthshine was really unnatural looking on my skin, even blended out and applied with a light hand. cut a caper looks awesome swatched, but on my lips, doesn't work at all.

total haul now includes light year and star wonder, fire sign, supernova, and sky. super happy with what i've got. maybe i can even score a center of the universe and venus soon :)
